You cannot go wrong with either off the menu or buffet! Lovely caring people… Delicious food… Nice ambience! Highly recommend!

Came for the buffet. Walked out, only about 10 – 12 items and none of the usual stuff other than wings. No rice, fingers, chicken broccoli, teriyaki, etc.

I work out west and live in Waltham and all this time I never knew there was Chinese food dinner buffet! I called ahead and asked if they had enough food left in the buffet line and I was happy to hear ‘yes.’ I was even happier when I was told that if I got here by a certain time that they would be able to accommodate my request if something was missing from the line! This place is awesome. They are super accommodating, attentive and even brought me more food than what I was expecting! !! Not greasy. Very freshly made and very nice people. Will definitely return :) The lady’s name a Chen, the gentleman’s name is Albert and my new favorite server’s name is Jeff!

I was here for my girlfriends lunch break and as I’m about to take a huge bite of an egg roll I hear her scream«whoa whoa whoa, I thought I saw a hair!» So I paused and took a look before my next bite and low and behold a long hair was wrapped in the egg roll poking out! Some can pass this off but not I. As I’m gagging from this I try to move on to the rest of the Crisco surprise we ordered. Bland, flavorless, greasy, disgusting were the only adjectives I could fit with lunch. As much as I hate buffets I probably should’ve gone with that instead!

Their buffet is a waste of money. Don’t even go there, and the food is horrible. I didn’t like it.

I don’t know what people expect but this place has great food that is consistent in quality considering I’ve visited this place every day for 2 weeks. It’s not dirt cheap but good value for the money. If you want to spend less try the lunch buffet instead. It’s like $ 9.25 compared to dinner buffet that’s like $ 16.25. There isn’t that much difference in the selection besides more salad options in the afternoon. Whichever you choose you’re unlikely to be unsatisfied with the food.

Food is not good at all, maybe it’s good for typical American but not for Asian.

I’ve struggled with how to rate Sichuan’s Garden. In the end, it’s not a question of quality, it’s a question of value. The food is okay and the drinks are okay. The staff is attentive and the restaurant is clean. All positives! I paid $ 8 for a Scorpion Bowl for one and I’m 100% okay with that! The buffet was $ 16.25(Friday night) per person. For a buffet with just one steam table of choices(probably 16 different choices, including onion rings and fried dough balls). To me that is way overpriced. No cold bar with salad or sushi or shrimp. The only seafood dishes on the steam table were oysters, «crab claw nuggets»(deep fried), and deep fried unpeeled shrimp. I guess there were crab rangoons, as well, but I don’t really consider them seafood. Otherwise there were the standards: orange chicken, eggs rolls, lo mein, rice, Szichuan pork, scallion beef, chicken and broccoli, chicken fingers, chicken wings, and chicken teriyaki. IMO, nothing worth $ 16.25 per person. So I’d give the quality of the food, drinks, and staff a solid 3 to 3⁄12 stars, but in terms of «bang for your buck» I’d say ½ star at best.

Stumbled upon this place following s business meeting, went for the lunch buffet which was limited and generally OK. The beef on the beef and broccoli was very chewy, there was no white rice or hot and sour soup at the buffet station. You had to ask for them, the hot and sour was pretty bland. Best part of the experience is the excellent waitstaff, otherwise I would give it just 2 stars.

Thought it used to be better. Hot & Sour soup was not at all spicy and wouldn’t order again. The Pu Pu platter was decent. General Gau’s chicken was good but as is so often the case was a little doughy. While eggplant was almost sauce less, it was the best dish if all. The Chinese mushrooms with bok choy was the most disappointing dish. Mushrooms didn’t have much flavor and there was a pointless white sauce on it. My wife is Chinese and this is her best dish and maybe that is why I was so disappointed with that dish. Service was very good and the waiter was very attentive.

This place is great for groups and a fun place to eat at. The food is decent. It’s good for what is is. Grab as many plates as you can eat and regret stuffing your face for the next two days. Save what little room you really don’t have for their soft serve ice cream machine. You’re not supposed to use it if you are under 18 but it really should be amended to say that you shouldn’t use it at all because you really don’t want it after 3 plates of heavy food. But seriously, if you want something quick and fun with a group of friends then you can’t go wrong.

A truly LOUSY place to eat! If you have never been, «DON’T GO», Save yourself the disappointment… This place has gone to hell since I came here 3 years ago… From the fake dusty plants to the sad, disheveled & faded silk flower arrangements all over the place. These were the only things of color except the brown greasy rugs. Not a single print on any of the walls throughout the entire place. It feels like an Asian sanatorium here. The buffet is from a third world country, fake scallop nuggets(probably from Restaurant Depot) greasy wings, tasteless lo mein, gray colored, boneless spare ribs, shrimp that’s fried with the head & outer shells so you have to get all messy to peel them, desserts consisted of store bought strawberry wafers, the standard yellow Chinese cookies and browning pineapples and strawberries… Oh let’s not forget the tasteless soft serve Ice cream… On top of everything, the kitchen staff was sitting at a round table in the dining room next to the buffet making dumplings with their bare hands. So I had to see piles of raw fatty pork on plates and prepackaged squares of dough. This place was a total waste of our $ 60.00 for 3 people. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like… It’s safe to assume that anyone who gives this place more than one star either doesn’t get out very often orr has not experienced good Asian food!

I’ve been going here since they first opened their doors, years ago. I’ve never had a bad meal. Sometimes, it’s just ok. Most times it’s delicious. Last night we had the dinner buffet. As expected, there were many choices available, including seafood and tofu dishes. We were with a toddler and they couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. The staff is very attentive, removing used dishes and filling water glasses rapidly. They give you warm hand sanitizing cloths when you sit down. We love eating here.

When I called them the first time to check about the menu, the man who answered my phonecall replied that«you can go to my online menu» and then hang it up rudely. This kind of service does not even deserve one star.

Very sad. I’m in a search for a decent Chinese restaurant near my commute from Boston to route 128. This isn’t it. If you see the restaurant on the road, keep going to the Shell station and get a bag of chips. That would be healthier. I decided to try the buffet as it is a quick way to sample. I am not going to complain that the buffet was small. It was small. But, the food was so bad that you certainly wouldn’t want any more of it. My favorite dish was eating the broccoli out of the General Gao’s chicken. The chicken itself was a lump of fatty breading with a small touch of chicken. But, the broccoli was hot and our was easy to wipe off the salty sauce. Half of the buffet was deep fried Chinese food from menus that should have been left in the 1970s. The other half was a salad bar with such traditional Chinese delicacies as hard boiled egg, raisins and canned beets. The honeydew melon on the buffet was tasty. Skip the restaurant and save your arteries.

Even for free, please not. Please drive a few extra miles and go to downtown Waltham or Watertown for delicious freshly cooked Chinese food. The waiters there promised me «fresh» food will be served once we sit. It never happened. The water girl by the buffet kept stirring the food whenever I look away. I noticed this, because she kept staring at me. Please mind you, when you ordered a la cart, you are just eating some of buffet food stirred and reheated.

I was invited to dinner by some family members in the area, and, seeing as how I love love love Chinese food, I was excited that we were dining here. I was a newbie, but they are regulars who tend to skip the buffet and order a few different entrees off the menu for family-style dining. There were 10 of us, and we easily shared about six or seven different entrees. Two containers of white rice and a pot of Chinese tea were served, as well. I tried a little of everything, but my favorites were the orange chicken and the beef with snow peas. The orange chicken had a nice crunch to the crust, and the sauce was very flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The beef with snow peas was also very flavorful and had good texture(read: not chewy gristle). The chef’s specialty entrees can get a little pricey at about $ 13-$ 16 each. But if you’re already paying $ 15 for the buffet, you might as well go family style with several delicious entrees cooked when ordered and not sitting under a heat lamp.(Please know that I didn’t even look at the buffet — I am just making Chinese buffet assumptions based on previous experiences at other Chinese buffet restaurants.) I think the total bill for 10 of us without tip was around $ 120.
