I work a stones throw away from this place. My review is based on one thing… a small turkey and ham sub with all the veggies, oil and vinegar and hots. This is pretty much my standard sandwich for any of the DOZENS of pizza/sub shops in this area. How can there be so many? How can they stay in business if they are all so mediocre and sell the same exact flavorless, over cooked, previously frozen crap? All I can say is that I get exactly what I want when I order this sub. I have had a bunch of places really fall short on the simple things that mean so much like fresh bread, semi identifiable meat and a decent amount of fresh veggies. And their hots are weirdly spicy… in a good way. Not sure the brand but they are just hotter then the ones I’ve had other places. Wonder how?

If it were possible to give less than one star I would. Food arrived quickly but my buffalo chicken sub was terrible! Very small, hardly any chicken and no lettuce or tomato or blue cheese dressing. I won’t bother to try anything else here.

Last time my family and I ever order from here. Not only was the lady on the phone rude but the food was disgusting. Right after I hung up I called back to switch a steak and cheese for a salad instead and the lady rudely told me i could not because the sub was done already. Really? I just called and it took an hour after that for the food to even show up. So what the sub was just sitting there for an hour done? I ordered a steak tip salad and the salad was literally lettuce and steak. Steak that tasted like rubber and I didnt even get the salad dressing I asked for. The fries were also super soggy. This isnt the first time either. Lost my business and i’ll make sure not to recommend this place to anyone I know either.

Sad to say that Waltham Pizza is receiving another bad review… loved going here, received large order of buffalo tenders completely burned, and a steak pizza with two small pieces of steak. Instead of 8 slices, I got 6. Emailed a complaint to , no response. Emailed grub hub, who I secured the order through, they responded right away and said that Zoe refused to give any credit or refund. We will no longer be buying from them. Take your business elsewhere, they don’t stand by their product.

The only reason it got 2 stars is because the food is somewhat decent. Their so called«manager» seriously lacks management skills. My whole staff orders lunch from Waltham Pizza a few times a month, so we spend decent money. We waited almost 2 hours for lunch. I called asking how much longer, she said«it’ll be right there» and just hung up. It showed up 20 minutes after that. My steak calzone was COVERED in caramel, from the dough babies. Who wants a steak calzone covered in caramel? …Not me. So once again I called and asked for a manager. She did nothing but question me and tell me how that couldn’t be possible. This also isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with them either. But this was definitely the last straw! A soggy sandwich and cold chicken dinner didn’t help the situation either.

Steak and cheese sub was greasy and very fatty! Disappointed after the first bite. Garden salad is a joke. Iceberg lettuce with 3 slices of cucumber and tomato. Waste of $$. Won’t go back. However, it was delivered hot and before the time that was quoted.

I used Foodler to order online. I do give WP points for getting to my office 15 minutes earlier than expected. First — the amount of food you get is enormous!!! No one will go hungry eating here. I ordered the spaghetti and veal. It came with a side salad and a big piece of garlic bread. This is where the goodness stops. The spaghetti was all broken up, flat, and very very very mushy… yuck! There was sooooooo much cheese, my arteries clogged just looking at it. Once you pulled the cheese curtain away — there was literally no sauce on the pasta — and this pasta needed it. I’m a big fan of sauce — and ordered extra — but got a little salad dressing cup of it. Not nearly enough. The veal was your standard freezer, pre-breaded variety. Not much flavor — hard to tell it was veal. I would much rather have a lot less food of much better quality.

The interaction started off cordially: the guy at the counter calls to inform me that they’re out of gyro meat. My solution? Substitute a steak bomb sub. He was kind, courteous, and genuinely enthused to interact with his customers. Me and my desert thirst for food could not have been more excited for it to arrive. Then it did, and everything immediately turned into one of those«we should have turned back» horror movie moments. Nothing chaps my britches more than douchey delivery drivers, especially after pre-tipping $ 3.00 for their service. I did hospitality – I take care of all of them indiscriminately. The food was timely and arrived piping hot, but his attitude showed up an hour late. Seeing his number calling my phone to let me know he was presumably outside, it took me five seconds to walk over to my apartment door and wave at him from the steps. You’d think I had murdered his family from the look on his face after I didn’t pick up my phone to, you know, answer the door to greet him? He rolls his eyes, puts it back in his pocket, grabs the warmer bag, and walks over. «Hey man, how you doing?» No response, then hands me the pizza. «Thanks, I appreciate it.» Half-turned and already walking away, he says, «Yah…» So already riding the crest of this suck wave, I take it to the cheesy shores of pizza consumption, fall off my board, face plant in some kid’s sand castle, and a seagull flies over and shits on my head. I have to echo the same sentiment as other posters: Outside of an awkward mild burning in my gut, the pizza was flavorless, oily cardboard. Not that you can really consider an awkward burning sensation a flavor, but I had to being so desperate in my search for one in each subsequent bite. As I tried to make my way around the pie, I had to stop. The way it sat in my system was something I’ve never experienced eating anything anywhere. It was genuinely a putrid combination of both ingredients and texture, and the sauce did not taste right in its pungent, tangy, acidic nothingness. I felt like I had an Alien in me and its corrosive saliva was eating away at the lining of my GI tract. So I said OK, I’ll have my steak sub for intermission. Turns out I should have just left the show before the second act. Soggy roll, a mangy, fatty cut of steak, and I couldn’t believe that I was left wanting to forget it in more pizza. There was only one problem: the pizza that was left was theirs. I ate the french fries(the only thing consumable), threw the rest of my order out, and have put their restaurant at the absolute bottom of pizza considerations in the Metro West area. It destroys my soul to say it(because I’m all for trying out the mom and pop places in the search of a good slice), but even Domino’s outranks them. Don’t let the façade of cheap food fool you here – sometimes cheap doesn’t mean you’re actually getting a deal.

Only 2 stars? Really? What’s with all the haters? Our office has food delivered from Waltham Pizza about once a week. Granted, we normally order salads and wraps and have never had their pizza, but I can’t imagine it being that terrible. I’m not a fan of Greek style pizza so it’s not something I would order anyway. I always have either a steak tip or grilled chicken salad with feta. Their salads are hands down the best in the area. The chicken is never dry or rubbery and when I request my steak to be cooked medium rare, they cook it medium rare! We have had the same delivery man for the past year and he is always on-time and is very friendly. Ordering online makes life easier and items can be customized. Nothing fancy but inexpensive and good food.

I was very disappointed tonight with my order. It took about an hour and twenty minutes to be delivered(despite their promise of only a 45 minute wait except on really busy nights… are Wednesday nights really that busy?). I called to check on the order and couldn’t get through a full sentence without being interrupted. The food arrived and the delivery man did apologize, but the food was cold. It might have been okay when hot, but not when cold. It was very soggy, and the garlic bread didn’t actually have any garlic on it. For that matter, neither did the pizza(which was supposed to have it).

This place is a joke. We started ordering from them in June, and had a really good experience… Let me tell you, that was the first and last time they came anywhere close to even edible. From wrong orders, to burnt food, to completely lost orders, Waltham Pizza has run the gambit of exactly what NOT to do to keep customers. Time for them to admit defeat and close up shop. Horrible place of «business,» would give then less than a star if possible. Fail.

UPDATE! It pains me to do this and Ive waited more than a few deliveries just to be sure… but im certain… They have started putting smaller pizzas in the same big boxes and raising the price… they are skimping on the cheese because almost every pizza I order now has 2 – 3 slices with cheese potholes :-(I tried to overlook this by saying, well less cheese is less calories but I had to update my review so other people know what to expect. Sorry Waltham Pizza. If something is happening thats causing you guys to cut corners, I truly sympathize… but geez, the deilcious cheese pizza is whats gonna drive up sales and profits. Not smaller pizzas for higher prices with less cheese. Its caused me to start odering from other places. And I was one of your regulars :-(Down from 4 stars to 2. I waited two months before I did this…

The messy perversion they call pizza at Waltham Pizza is heartbreakingly disappointing. I am extremely forgiving when judging a slice, and generally maintain the role of satisfied customer. There is no excuse for what you have done, oh purveyor of greasy mediocrity. I would demand a refund… Instead, I will channel my energy into drafting this cautionary treatise, wishing that no other endure what I have just gone through.

Was working at Waltham High School and needed to find a local place to eat. Using Unilocal I found Waltham Pizza. Pretty basic setup and menu. Nice guys working behind the counter. I started discussing Unilocal and how they need to get better reviews. I also gave them some pointers in making that happen. Being an Elite Unilocaler I figured it was my duty to help. lol… Anyway pretty good food and a decent price. I had the cheeseburger with curly fries. Not a huge fan of frozen hamburger patties but they grill them not fry so that helped. I am not a fan of Greek pizza because it’s greasy. That’s from the cheddar cheese mix they use. No thanks!

We’ve ordered a handful more times and the place seems to have gone downhill or had a whole bunch of bad days every time we’ve ordered at work. This time my steak sub was bland and tasteless. They forgot toppings on other peoples subs and randomly added toppings to someone Else’s. The buffalo chicken wrap didn’t even come with blue cheese dressing on it. I guess you have to ask. They also labeled the subs wrong the Buffalo chicken was in a cheeseburger sub wrapper and vice versa. Food was not hot by the time it got to us today. We will probably give it another shot before we go back to bertucci’s

YUM! I know that most will insist upon Upper Crust, however, THIS is hardcore pizza! I believe that they use cheddar as a topper(which does make for a greasy delight), but the crust-cheese combo make for the best Friday night(aka: movie night, in my book) dinner. Not in the mood for pizza? — try one of their subs! I’ve heard that the Tuna Sub is incredible(if you’re a tuna fan — which I’m not) and their«small» sub looks more like a large to me. If you’re looking to park, there are about three spots that are in front of the shop(can be tricky getting in there… but it’s worth the effort). The guys are great, and they deliver!!!
