Hit or miss. Food is almost always delicious. Service can be kind of spotty. It’s not like it was years ago where service was always excellent.

Had dinner on a Saturday nite and just ahead of the table wait time Service was great food was cooked to perfection My husband had ribeye steak and I had the lamb We were both very happy campers Even though it got very busy with long wait lines we never felt rushed Our server was very helpful and friendly

Very disappointing to find this location which I have eaten at for years has gone on their quality of food. The steaks on down to the broccoli is overly seasoned and salted. I’m pretty sure(very sure!) I got food poisoning from this location. I did report it to the health department. Cheese fries and cream of broccoli soup is the only way to go!

Love this outback! We eat here probably once a week(almost always pickup to go orders). The food is always good and consistent. The manager is really friendly and awesome! One time they messed up our order with another one and the manager called us when they realized it before us! We were not mad or demanded anything but They paid for our dinner and gave us a gift certificate for another day.

My husband I sat down for the 10 mintues. there was just 1 guy who came up to us(but was NOT our waiter) and he brought us bread and butter then took our drink orders. Once the drinks came back he asked us if we want any appetizers, yes we said yes and still NOWAITRESS Came up to us… food is excellent In this restaurant but the service sucks big time… I won’t be coming back again

Went to outback tonight and our waiter was on point ! He was so good as we got there at 4:30 and then it got super busy really fast and he was really attentive and made sure we were ok with all of our food and drinks He had multiple tables all over the restaurant and handled them with ease and grace a seasoned server for sure The food was great I got the strip steak with a baked potato and mix veggies cooked to perfection, my children got fries, chicken nuggets and ff, and a adult sized burger and all were great and consumed rather quickly All in all a very good experience and would go back after this service

So what can you say about a chain restaurant? I can tell you that a dining experience here is as good as you can expect at the best Out backs out there. But what really sets this one apart is their management’s dedication to top customer service. We have only ordered curbside for the last few years, but do so about 4 – 5 times a year with large orders. There was an issue where a couple of ordered items for the birthday girl were not in the bag in July when we got home, and they worked out a nice credit via the phone for the next time we called. Fast forward to my birthday, totally forgot about that credit for Outback, but even though they don’t usually take a coupon when a credit has been used, management did and our meal was incredibly reduced. They more than made up for last shortcomings. Their food is always cooked well and they are very friendly at curbside. My favorite Outback that I’ve ever been to, by far.

If I was just rating the food or the service I would have given a 4 star rating, but I’m also rating the manager. The Outback doesn’t accept reservations, but they have what’s called«call ahead», which is really a reservation. We did that. We arrived at the Outback at about 615pm(our call ahead was for 630) on Saturday, Oct 10th. It was crowded, but we were seated within 15 minutes. The rest of our party arrived about 15 minutes later(there were 8 of us in all). We were waited on right away, the food came out pretty quickly(we had drinks, appetizers and and entrees), the orders were right, etc. All went well until the end of the meal. The manager came over to us and asked if we were going to order dessert and we said«no». He then told us that he needed our table for another party and we needed to leave. You NEVER do that as a manager. If you have a problem with seating, you don’t take reservations, but you NEVER tell customers to leave, because you need their table. We won’t be going back.

Not very good and won’t go back. Steak was ordered medium, was black on outside and just warm inside, almost like it was cooked on a frying pan or something. Sides of mashed potato and fries were cold. Server was nice but went M.I.A. for a while. Wanted more bread but never had the chance because server disappeared.

I wish I could give a quarter of a star… For a $ 26 porterhouse and asked for medium rare they give me the cow still moooowing and not to mention my finances well done sirloin. After asking for a medium rare… Done definitely won’t be coming back. Customer lost

When did Outback become Applebees? My house salad had some weird, soft shredded cheese on it, gross. Steakhouse mac and cheese was awful, Trader Joe’s frozen is ten times better. Sent one filet back as it was undercooked. But hey, the fries were good. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Have been to this Outback a few times. For me, the most outstanding feature is the exclusive appetizers(bloomin’ onion, cheesy fries). The wait to be seated is usually extensive. The atmosphere is very casual and sometimes, the noise level at the bar is a little loud. The drink selection is good and the service is adequate. The steaks are ok but nothing to really go out of the way for. Conveniently located but nothing really outstanding. The reason I cannot give it a fourth star is on one occasion, we had to send back a pork chop dinner as it was undercooked and the waitress seemed a bit insulted by it. Summary: Not a bad place to go but I believe there better steak houses in the area for the money.

Good points — a) Courteous, attentive service. b) Grilled asparagus is excellent. c) Grilled lobster tail is better than excellent. Low points — a) Agonizing soundtrack; too loud as background noise, too low to make out the words. The place is packed too and the noisy chatter does not mix well with the music. b) Desserts are ho-hum. c) Steaks were grossly overcooked. We ordered two steaks medium well(the menu says includes a pink center). The two steaks were bone-dry hockey pucks. The cook needs to learn to cook steak. d) The porterhouse is grossly overpriced. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and would have been one star if not for the very nice waiter.

Great place to eat! One of my favorite restaurants! The sirloin steak tastes like it melts in your mouth! The bloomin’ onion is also a tasty treat, though it’s big so you may want to bring it home unless you either have a big stomach or just get that. I’ve never had their sea food, but by the looks of it I would probably like it. I haven’t been there in almost a year so I’m hoping my parents will bring me back soon. Great restaurant! Friendly service and tasty steak. They also have chicken for non– steak lovers, and even salad for the vegetarians. Go there for lunch and dinner. I always get sirloin with mashed potatoes and it’s amazing.

Amazing bone in Rib Eye. Tilapia Lump crab meat entrée in white wine sauce. What more can you ask for in a comfortable family setting. Not expensive as well. My rib eye came out medium rare and melted in my mouth. Just go and see for yourself. Coconut shrimp and avocado lump crab appetizer were also delicious.

Wow! I am actually writing a good review for a restaurant! That has been increasingly rare for me these days. I am shocked. Typically, I try to avoid anything«chain» when it comes to dining(unless, 0 options exist and I am traveling). Well, here on Rte. 9 on this stretch of Poughkeepsie, there are tons of places to dine– but my colleague and I decided to give this place a «go»(couldn’t be much worse than any of the other places we’ve been to recently). The place is busy. No doubt. We were told we had to wait(by a very pleasant hostess) and took a seat at the bar. First test= bloody Mary. I have had a rash of just dreadful bloody mary experiences recently. But wow– this place made a good drink. A+. The bartender was friendly, offered light conversation but not intrusive. All good. Just as we were getting comfy at our bar stool, our table was ready. I was enjoying the bar setting but was also happy to be seated quickly. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. He was certainly busy but we were greeted in a professional and friendly manor– not a sign of being«stressed». Very good. Great menu options. We started with the blooming onion which was awesome. I am now searching on line to see how to make this thing… as steaks are Outbacks«gig» we of course opted for this option. The menu is presented in a great way so that you can customize your type of cut and size, side dishes and whatnot. very cool and makes it a snap to get just what you want. I had the victoria cut, with horseradish(awesome too!) and a side of coconut shrimp. All were delivered quickly, again with great professionalism from the waitstaff. The food was great!!! I am amazed that this is a chain. I have never been to Outback before, so I don’t know if they are all like this? But the combination of great drinks, service and great steak(along with a super user friendly menu) will have me back again for sure. Kudos outback for actually pleasing me!
