Raspados has been on my list for eons it seems, and based on friends’ reviews, I knew we were going to love it, but. we didn’t. The flavor was good, fresh even! However, the amount of syrup in our shaved ice was overwhelming. After a couple of preliminary sips and scoops, my kids begged me to take them to Sonic to get some ice in order to dilute the syrup. I’d kinda hoped that I wouldn’t have to figure out the ice/syrup proportions on my own. The friendly service and clean shop were a solid 4, but on account of having to hit up another establishment to balance out our sour pucker faces, the shaved ice earned a 2… thus an overall 3 star review. Sad face.

I finally found some chamango! This place is tiny and serve a mixture of different foods, I honestly will only come back for just the chamango, it’s the only one I’ve found in okc so far. The drink could use a bit more mixing, it seemed a bit separated. The area is under construction right now, so it’s a bit weird to get here but the chamango is worth it.

Friendly service. I ordered the Chamango based on other reviewers’ recommendations. I tried to order it with condensed milk but the lady at the window made a face and said, «are you sure??». So then I asked what she would recommend and she said it’s probably best without the condensed milk. Thus, I went without the milk and I think next time I’ll try it with! This is why: the whole cup was a beautiful mixture of sweet, salty, spicy, and cold. I felt like the salty part overpowered the sweet many times, and my taste buds wished for a better balance between sweet and salty(which brings me back to my earlier comment regarding the condensed milk). There were lots of chunks of fresh mango in the middle of the cup, which was nice and added texture. The tamarind candy straw tied together all of the flavors in the cup: it was sweet, salty, and a tiny bit spicy. If you want a simple snow cone, this will not satisfy. However, they do have typical snow cone flavors available. If you want something different with bold flavors, then you have to try this. Will definitely go back to try their other flavors!

I don’t even know how to describe the Chimarindo. Chili powder, tamarind, some sort of syrup, and a flavor explosion the likes of which I’ve never experienced before. It was recommended to my fiancé so we decided to give it a try. I’m open to trying almost any food but this seemed very different. I dove in and got the Chamarindo, and she got the Chamango(chili and mango). When it got handed to us I had no idea what to expect. This big, brownish ice concoction with tamarind candy on the straw and chili powder on the ice. I was uncertain to say the least. Then it happened… we started eating it. It was a solid 10 minutes of silence and amazement interrupted only by the occasional«mmmm so good». Neither of us could quite believe how delicious our«drink» was. We finished it off in the back yard and our minds were completely blown. That was yesterday and we still can’t stop talking about it. We are tempted to go back again today. Now listen, if you’re a plain cheese, white bread, steak and potatoes person whose most exotic food destination is mall Chinese, then I’d recommend getting one of the tamer regular flavors. But if you like to try all kinds of food and experience exotic flavors, then get one of the specialty mixes. The Chimarindo is a very intense tamarind flavor and by the end I struggled to finish. The Chamango seemed a bit more approachable and mellow. But I highly recommend both. I’ll be going back here and trying every flavor this summer.

I go to this place every chance I get! I’ve had the Chamango and tornado. They both have a spicy sweet mexican candy as a topping. The Chamango only has mangoes, but if you want to be adventurous, get the tornado. It has pineapple, cucumber, and hicama. My friend added condensed milk on her Chamango and it was delicious!

I had a mexican snow cone for the first time in Dallas and I thought I wouldn’t get to eat another one unless I make a road trip to Dallas, but luckily I discovered this snow cone stand! I love the chamango and it’s amazing! I wish they had more stands in other locations because it’s a drive away for me, but it’s so worth it!

When you walk up to the snow cone shack and they open the window, the first thing you smell is fresh fruit. Best thing ever! I love that they incorporate fresh fruit in their fruit flavored snow cones! Their kiwi snow cone is one of my favorites. Chamango is the perfect summer treat if you like your taste buds to be tickled. Tornado is like chamango, but it has more fresh produce(cucumber, jicama, pineapple). Tasty too!

If you haven’t tried out chamango, you are missing out a big part for the summer. This is the best place for fresh mango shaved ice. it is perfect when they top it with the Mexican chili salt, the type you eat with fruit. There is the tamarind candy straw which is perfect when you dip it with the drink and suck it. The sweet, sour and salty taste all combine together perfectly. I have to use so many«perfect» words because this is the«perfect» drink for the hot days of summer. $ 5 drink for the paradise. I have been introducing this place for many friends of mine and they just say this is divine. Another drink you should try is the tornado. It is fresh chopped cucumber and pineapple.
