Extremely good food, service and staff was fantastic. Highly recommend if you are in Warren.

We had such a great experience here. Plating of food was artistically pleasing and service was professionally conducted! House made spinach fettuccini with duck, hangar steak, fish, and burger were all fresh and incredibly flavorful. The chick pea fries and wings were awesome– far exceeded expectations. And the Metacom mule did not disappoint. Crème Brûlée, chocolate ganache, and pumpkin cheesecake were the perfect endings to super delicious meals.

I love this place. So friendly, warm and the food! Oh, so good. Great bartenders and wait staff and atmosphere. Hopefully it won’t become too popular because we plan on coming back again and again.

After hearing nothing but good things for months, my husband and I finally stopped by Metacom Kitchen last night for dinner. The restaurant is unassuming on the outside, but well-decorated and charming on the inside.
We ordered a burrata appetizer for two that included a broccoli rabe pesto that was amazing and some chickpea fries that were crispy on the outside, while soft on the inside. My hanger steak entrée was perfectly medium rare and flavorful and my husband’s duck confit was really quite tender and delicious. The server checked in with us periodically to make sure we were happy, but not so much that it felt overbearing. We even got to have a conversation with the very friendly chef after he heard us asking questions about the food and what was going on in the visible kitchen area(that’s a great thing as far as we’re concerned, since it means that, by necessity, they’ve got a well-run and clean space to prepare the meals, and, as a plus, it’s fun to watch the magic happen). They make all the food in-house while definitely putting lots of effort into it, and it shows. The prices are very good considering the quality of the food, though it’s no dollar-menu fare, so it’s not a place we can afford to visit as often as we’d like to. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and will certainly be back

The exterior does not do this place justice! My boyfriend has been trying to convince me for months to visit this place but when we drive by it looks like a small cramped space. I couldn’t have been more wrong! When you walk in, it’s a spacious warm and a great place go enjoy a delicious dinner. The service was good, we had warm bread with compound butter which was outstanding and ordered chicken wings and chick pea fries for appetizers. The wings were juicy and crispy while the chick pea fries were soft and tasty! We were cautious with price and decided to split the hanger steak. Our biggest mistake was splitting the steak. It was so good that we almost got another one. The steak was cooked medium rare and melted in my mouth like butter. The veggies and potatoes were just as delicious. The steak was $ 24 but I’d pay that every night to have steak like that. We were definitely the youngest people there on a Friday night(21 years old) but that’s perfect for me. 10⁄10!

Service was fantastic, food was fantastic. What else do I need to say? Cozy hole in the wall joint in the up and coming warren area. Call ahead, book your table, show up and enjoy. Tonight was a prefix menu for the new year holiday and it was delicious. Started with the duck confit, then steak and potatoes, ended with the pear desert. All were fantastic.

People aren’t kidding when they say that Warren is becoming the best place to go for great restaurants/food. It’s very up and coming and only getting better. Metacom Kitchen is a perfect example. My fiancé and I have been wanting to go here for a while but just haven’t had the chance. until tonight. We live in Bristol so it’s not far away at all and there’s a parking lot across the street so parking isn’t difficult. When we walked in, we immediately noticed the warm, inviting atmosphere. We went on a Sunday night at around 6:30pm and it wasn’t busy at all. We sat down and were immediately helped. The menu was super simple — not too many choices but not too little either. We both got Pinot Noir which was delicious and I really wanted a salad so I got the Mixed Lettuce Salad. Light, refreshing but full of flavor and the candied pine nuts were perfectly sweet and savory. The salad was pretty big so I gave some to my fiancé and he just couldn’t stop eating it! Now for the entrees. I got the Slow Roasted Prime Hanger Steak. It was cooked to my liking perfectly which was medium rare(the only way I eat a steak). Everything in the dish went so well together. I’ve included a picture of the dish because it looked that good! My fiancé got a special witch was the duck prepared two ways and I sampled some of his and boy, was it delicious! We left there satisfied and happy. We definitely will be coming back again. Possibly in the spring/summer time because I’m sure they switch up their menus for the changing seasons.

It’s a simple choice with Metacom Kitchen: Go. The dining room is spare, airy and clean and it’s clear to me that the premium dollars to build this restaurant went to the kitchen. It’s really good. The food coming out of Metacom Kitchen’s kitchen is creative, local and seasonal but also in an approachable way that fits in perfectly for the area. It’s the type of place that will have a good fancy-ish burger with interesting cheese on the menu that is affordable. A place that has both import Belgian craft beers and Bud Light. Metacom is forward thinking but doesn’t leave behind any of the regular plain Jane good food lovers as well. It’s democracy in the kitchen in action, and I’m loving it. Totally worth the drive to Warren. Come and get it.

What a refreshing dining experience in a place where, up until now, amazing food has been a little hard to come by. Metacom Kitchen exemplifies the art of thoughtful and meticulous menu planning and professional execution. The plating is the most impressive part, aside from the sheer deliciousness of the dishes. I tried this place out on a whim, going with my gut feeling that I would not be let down. Let down, I was not; impressed and stunned, I was. Metacom Kitchen has only been open for a little while now, but they have picked up a lot of momentum and made a huge splash in such a short time. I ordered an Old Fashioned(the bartender was super friendly) along with«Today’s Oysters» with lemongrass, white soy, and lime mignonette, served over a bed of seaweed salad. So. Good. For my entrée I picked the hanger steak which was the most amazing thing I’ve ever tasted. I am usually a fast eater, but for this, I ate slowly, savoring every bite as it melted in my mouth. The hanger steak was served with shallots, oyster mushrooms, and endive that had been cooked in a red wine reduction. Dessert was a «comfy» peach and plum cobbler with(I think) homemade granola and sunflower seeds. This place will be around for awhile. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu — it was so hard to pick since everything sounded so good. The beer menu looked awesome, if you are into IPAs and saisons — and they had some cool looking infused whiskey on the menu board as a special. The service was friendly and professional, and from almost every seat you can see the open kitchen and the team working hard. Metacom Kitchen has a comfortable, casual atmosphere(which is plentiful), yet the upscale ambiance and décor provide something that few places in the area do. Gone are the days of being served 4x more greasy, carby food than you really need and here are the ones to savor and enjoy.

This is a very nice restaurant! Our waiter Alex was very nice and friendly who took care of us. The atmosphere is dim but really nice! The plate presentations were great and the food was delicious! The menu is small but the items are delicious! We don’t come to Warren often, but if we do, we will certainly come to this place again!

We were lucky to have our son take us for a 10 course tasting menu with wine for his mothers birthday. Richard made each course very special and tasted more spectacular with each course presented to us. Our son paired the wines as this was a true celebration. We will definitely return and told many of our friends already. A superb dining experience and well worth it. must eat!

Oh Warren, you’re so much my hidden gem. Driving up to Metcaom Kitchen my girlfriend stated«there’s a great restaurant in this neighborhood?» Much like Simone’s, MK is not much to look at from the outside but step inside the tiny shack and it becomes apparent that it is in fact a Tardis. The restaurant is well set out for larger(10 – 12) groups as well as more intimate tables, high-tops and ample seating at the bar. The sound dampening panels mounted to the ceiling were working overtime during our visit as there was both a graduation party and 30-something party… those ladies were Loooooud! This did little to dampen our dining experience as our server Alex was attentive, friendly and appeared to know the menu items, their preparation and the source of the ingredients as well as if he were the chef. He aided in my wine choice as well as a lovely couple of specials; homemade spinach fettuccini with duck thigh and duck liver pâté…sorry Donald! Wonderful meal, great service and an overall perfect night. Eat Well Providence… now go explore!

I love that it’s now hard to choose where to eat in the East Bay. There are so many new options and I’m very happy we decided to finally try Metacom Kitchen. We arrived on a Friday night without a reservation but they were able to squeeze us in. The décor is simple but homey and the lighting was dimmed for an intimate feel. I was excited and impressed by what the menu offered. Just a note that the prices here are more of a nicer dinner out and not really a pop in on a weekly basis kind of deal. Our waiter was great. He was attentive and knew the menu ingredients well and also the wine by the glass offerings for that day. My husband chose the Duck special and said it was delicious. As for me, there were no vegetarian entrees listed so the waiter described to me what they had on hand for vegetables that day and I gave him a few ideas of what I liked and I ended up with a delicious fresh pasta and mushroom dish that I’m still thinking about days later. The beer list isn’t very large but they do have a great variety to offer and the Pimm’s Cup was the perfect early dinner beverage. We finished the meal with Crème Brulee and an Apple Cobbler. Both were delicious. Overall, we were really happy with our Metacom Kitchen experience and we look forward to coming back soon.

Wonderful experience last night. Our server Brittany recommended the Duck Fettuccini special and paired a great wine based on my preferred taste. Friendly service. Comfortable seating. Very pretty décor with a open view of the working kitchen. This was a pre-theater meal and the restaurant was able to accommodate our time frame.

Chicken wings were excellent. I had the Salmon, which was delicious. My husband had the steak which was equally amazing. We sat at the bar overlooking the kitchen which was a nice experience as we got to see the chefs in action. Good overall experience with good service and exceptional good. Will definitely go back.

I heard rumors that Metacom Kitchen is going to be the new best place to eat in Rhode Island, and I have to say I don’t disagree! This place is FABULOUS. Here’s what I know: The atmosphere is minimal yet cozy. It’s the Goldilocks of restaurants: not too big, not too small, just right.(reference points: bigger than North, smaller than Siena) It’s ideal for a get-together with a few friends or an intimate date. The food is outstanding. We started with chick pea fries, which are heaven-sent appetizers. They’re wrapped in rice flour, so they’re actually gluten free, and their crispy, flaky crust will win your heart. We also had the golden beet salad, and the salad dressing came in round balls that looked like honeydew melon that you break open. Entrée: salmon over lentils(topped with dehydrated bacon: this is my new favorite form of bacon! Crispy-bacon lovers unite!) and the house made bolognese, made with their very own tagliatelle noodles and a sauce that had a warm, rich flavor. This is the kind of place that focuses on the details(from their homemade focaccia bread to their seven-ingredient butter), and they get the details right. The service is impeccable. Our waitress, Brittany(like France, not Spears) was knowledgeable and friendly, and she could possible read minds. She not only told us the ingredients in everything we ordered, but she could predict what we would love to eat and drink. And she even introduced us to the head chef, Richard(Rick), who is as humble as he is talented. This restaurant is a place that makes you feel welcome and at home, and I will be happy to return again soon!

First and foremost(and I don’t usually do this, but…) I am really surprised to see some of the harsher reviews on here — Metacom Kitchen is a cozy, warm and welcoming addition to the RI food scene; décor, drinks, food, service and all!!! I can’t say enough about this new spot; my husband and I loved every moment of our experience here, and can’t wait to return. From the warm initial greeting we received to the impeccable and friendly service, I can’t say enough about the staff. However, the food(at least for me!) is the real highlight. With an impressive menu that boasts great local, seasonal ingredients and twists on classics, I went with a squash soup and their burger… and I ate every last bite. Even though I had to have the burger well-done(woe is she who is pregnant), it was still juicy, tender and succulent. The accoutrement of cheese, veggies and sauce perfectly balanced the flavorful meat and slightly sweet roll which made it hard for me to even put it down! Really delicious. The soup was sweet and savory all at once — creamy and rich without being too heavy or fatty. Just lovely. My evening culminated with a decadent plate of chocolate ganache, garnished with amazing Nutella-infused puffed rice crumble, cardamom whipped cream and a delicate strawberry purée that came together in moan-inducing bite of heaven. So simple, yet sooo gooood. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of food you’re getting, too. This is beautifully plated, fresh and delicious food, people would pay a lot more for if it was 10 miles NorthWest… just sayin’. The ambience is homey and quaint — nothing pretentious, gaudy or distracting, just tasteful and comfortable. I’m also a bit obsessed with their paint color choices! All in all, a real home run. I am continually impressed with the restaurants popping up in Warren, and am a huge fan of this trend. Don’t miss Metacom Kitchen — it’s well worth the short drive from Providence!

I usually prefer to dine at a restaurant more than once before writing a review but this review will be relatively easy for me to write after only one dining experience. Metacom Kitchen may easily become one of my favorite places to dine in this area. On a surprisingly slow Thursday evening, we braved the elements and the treacherous walk across route 136 from the parking lot to be greeted quickly and cheerfully by the hostess and the visuals of a nicely decorated dining area, bar, and relatively open kitchen area. The tables were smaller, though nothing atypical, and were spaced well enough away from other tables. There was a decent draft beer selection and my choice was tasty and fresh but the cocktail choices were outstanding. I got to sample one of them and it was expertly designed and mixed. Choosing the Hummus For Two, which came with additional sides to supplement it(I had several types of olives to myself thankfully), and the Chick Pea Fries, I already knew the experience was on its way to 5 stars. I chose(surprise) the Coriander & Mustard Crusted Atlantic Salmon, which was yet another expertly designed and prepared dish, of just the right portion size for the price. We simply did not have enough room for dessert, which was a shame, and I am confident that that also would have been a great experience. Overall, in my opinion, Metacom Kitchen excels in service, cocktails, ambience, appetizers, entrees’, creativity, and value, easily deserving my rating of 5 stars.

Another great addition to Warren! It’s much larger inside than it appears on the outside and it’s got a cozy, warm, yet modern vibe. Alex was our waiter and he was awesome. We were quickly greeted and seated and Alex came by to tell us about the specials and see if we had any questions. There are about 6 beers on tap and a full bar. I wasn’t given a wine list so I can’t comment on that but we were given a cocktail list with 6 – 8 creative options. I went with the Cocky Rooster($ 10), which is an modern take on a Manhattan and it was delicious. You may recognize the bartender, Steve, from his previous gigs at Tortilla Flats and Chomp. He’s slinging some awesome drinks here now. Alex came by with some homemade foccacia with a compound butter. Delicious! We opted for the hummus plate($ 13) and the chickpea fries($ 5) for appetizers and enjoyed both. The hummus plate also has olives, tomato marmalade and a fennel salad. Thumbs up for both. For my meal, I went a little on the boring side and ordered the roasted chicken breast($ 19). I do have to say it was one of the best chicken breasts I’ve ever had. It was served with braised carrots and potato-ricotta agnolotti. My husband enjoyed his salmon($ 18) as well. We’ll definitely be back. The hanger steak is already calling my name. Just a note — The parking lot is across the street and the street can get very busy, so be careful crossing!
