Had to added my photos. Each meal is a work of art. Made to order and serviced Hot by the personable staff. Homemade jams are local and available to all. A place you need to visit.

Wow, what a great meal. Everyone was so pleasant and welcoming and the food was delicious. We started with the roasted Marcona almonds(yum!) and the little chicken meatballs(also, yum!). My Baffoni Farms chicken was off the charts, it was cooked perfectly and I’d get it every time.

Just spent 120 on dinner still hungry. Over priced and over rated. Great service though.

My husband(a Rhode Island native) and I recently relocated from New Orleans to Warren, RI. It was hard to leave so many wonderful restaurants behind, but I couldn’t be happier in our new town. Simone’s is excellent. Attention to detail, quality ingredients, delicious menu and even live music on Thursday nights. We’ll continue to support and enjoy this place.

This was a conflicted dining experience. I had been wanting to go for a while after seeing a local news segment about Simone’s on Youtube a few months ago. 2 in our party of 4 had the scallops on spicy cauliflower and it was really bad. The scallops were chewy and the roasted cauliflower smelled like wet garbage. Cauliflower can be smelly and I wouldn’t have ordered roasted cauliflower but they did and one person thought it was ok the other hated it. Unfortunately, neither chose to speak up and try something else so they have themselves to blame somewhat. I had roasted cod with lobster and enjoyed it a lot. I ate every bite though the lobster was a little rubbery. The fourth person had eggplant which they enjoyed. The appetizers were chicken meatballs and fried beets, both of which were lovely. The bread and oil were wonderful before the meal and the amuse-bouche was a nice touch. The highlight of the meal was desert. The butterscotch pudding was rich and velvety with some fantastic whipped cream on top. The chocolate pudding reminded me of a pots de crème and was fantastic. The interesting cocktail menu and our friendly helpful server were big pluses as was the beautiful design of the dining area. On a per person basis this was the most expensive meal I’ve ever had but we were celebrating and had a lot of extras. Still, as a value proposition, this failed any imaginable test. Had the 2 scallop people either ordered something different or given the staff a chance to fix the issue, it might have been a 4 star night.

It’s taken me a while to write this review simply because… I don’t love Simone’s. The staff is so kind, the mission is thoughtful and the chef is one of my favorites, but it was just a bit of a lacking experience and so I cannot thusly write a glowing review. I’ve had the chicken and the chioppino, and while both were cooked beautifully, for what I paid I was expecting more. More flavor, more food, more artistry. The veggies that accompanied my chicken were under-seasoned(if seasoned at all), and there were very few of them, at that. The chippino was better all around, but again a very small portion for what you get. I was impressed with the impeccable service and outstanding wine list. The space, however is large, old and cavernous, making the dining experience less intimate and comfortable that I’d like. I will definitely try again and maybe that time will be the charm, but so far? Simone’s just makes me miss Sunnyside… and that’s a pity.

This review is for breakfast only. Many years ago I walked out of Sunnyside saying I had just had the best breakfast of my life. I was sad when they closed and eagerly anticipated the opening of Chef Joe Simone’s new restaurant. Was it the best breakfast of my life? No, but it was pretty good. I’ve had some really excellent breakfast since that time many years ago and the bar is a lot higher now. The space is beautiful inside with a separate room for private events. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. As far the food, get the chourico hash. I can’t stress this enough. It was by far the best part of our breakfast. It was loaded with flavor and a generous portion. We were given cornbread and two tasty jams to start. I had an egg white omelet. There were plenty of fillings and the toast was tasty. The home fries? They were a bit bland and lukewarm. We were the first customers of the day. They shouldn’t have been lukewarm. My husband had the Huevos Divorciados and enjoyed it. We’ll come back again for breakfast although I’m hoping my home fries will be a little warmer. I do recommend it for breakfast. We hope to get here for dinner at some point and I’ll update my review then.

Brunch in Warren… it’s where it’s at! Now you may have seen my review for Trafford and I promise write my review of Eli’s Kitchen at some point but I just had to tell you about Simone’s. Ugly on the outside gorgeous on the inside. Honestly it is the nicest surprise when you walk in and find this space that would fit right in perfectly in the Pvd jewelry district right next to Circe. Warm grays with these huge yellow barn doors. The place looks great — open kitchen, nice bar area and the main seating area has these great booths so you’re going to want to bring a few friends(they take reservations for parties of six or more). Blood orange mimosa was my drink of choice followed by divorced eggs — it has a Spanish name but I was told that’s what it translated into. Well they were very happily divorced and I quickly reunited them in my belly. Lovely space, great service and I can not wait to go back for dinner… oh grab a candy on your way out they’re those ones you can buy at Venda. Eat well Providence, visit Warren.

Overall: overpriced The inside is AMAZING. The walls match the chairs and it’s a great grey/yellow/white mixture. The bathroom is freezing though. Fair warning. I feel like the staff should be dressed up a bit more – it was throwing me off that they were wearing jeans and serving nearly $ 30 dinners. I had with a margarita which was perfect. They gave us an olive and red pepper tapenade on a tostada to start which was fantastic. I wish we could have had more of that. The bread was undercooked(mine was gummy on the bottom) I started with the olives which weren’t anything special. They could have been a jar for all I know. For an entrée I had the pesto stuffed halibut which was cooked perfectly. I needed the knife to push it onto my fork because I couldn’t stab it. I’ve never had farro before, but it was a bit hard and seemed undercooked. The string beans were fine(I wish there was more) but the Tomato Coulis was perfect. We finished with the gingerbread which was great. Huge slice, so it’s really for two.
