I’ve been in the company of the chef, the GM, and the owner at the same time. After hearing that their kitchen staff could all walk on water like jesus, I was a little surprised I couldn’t even get a happy hour burger cooked medium. Makes me hesitant to order a steak.

I think they changed owners or mngrs, they used to have entres for 16.95 between 4 pm and 6 pm. that’s gone now. you pay full menu price and get nothing extra. the service is good. the girls really on the ball. we both ordered rib-eye med rare. hers came out perfect, mine was med, hard to eat at my age with my teeth. I’m partly handicapped and have to use a cane to get around. to get to the restroom you have to traverse a long set of steps, even longer coming back up. even worse is they don’t have a handicapped rest room. no hand bars or side bares to help you off the toilet. we won’t be back !!!

Excellent Unilocal Find! This restaurant is far and away the best restaurant in the area. Excellent service and wonderful food — and a lovely setting on a golf course. My martini was cold, strong, huge, and cheap! The fresh lobster pasta was just delicious. The Chophouse is about a 10 minute ride off the freeway, but totally worth it. A truly nice evening all around! (On another note, I left my jacket in the restaurant, and they promptly mailed it to my house. Many Thanks!)

Wow — Chophouse has certainly stepped it’s game up! I grew up in Warren and used to frequent the Chophouse and always felt like it was so-so in quality. I had not been there in a couple years and recently returned with my family to celebrate my grandma’s birthday — pleasantly surprised is an understatement! The Chophouse is beautifully represented internally and their staff is so kind and really made our table of 8 feel at Home. Consider opting for the Mozarella app — SOGOOD! I enjoyed the Cod Francaise, the meal opened with my choice of soup or fresh salad i chose the latter — great house dressing, the main dish was incredible — i made everyone try it, completely melted in my mouth. Not to mention our server was hilarious and really understood our family’s humor. Don’t worry, your bread baskets will always be replenished! My family chooses Chophouse to celebrate holidays and birthdays, they do not disappoint! Finish off your meal with their signature Banana Cream Pie — best dessert i’ve had in years! Get to the Chophouse and support local!

Trying to find a decent establishment in Warren is difficult. The Chophouse is better than a decent establishment, despite it’s shortcomings. Came here on a business dinner with 3 other individuals, at one of the others guest’s recommendation. Driving up on the place, you definitely get the upscale feel and the entrance is very impressive. Hostess was nice and accommodating. The server was a little ditzy, and tried to bring us water twice, but she was nice and friendly so it’s hard to hold a grudge. The best part of the meal was the pre-dinner bread. I mean, if this place just served bread I would give it 5 stars. It gets 4, because yes it is a steak house and it needs to be rated against other steakhouses. My medium rare was more medium, achieved by what must have been an incinerating heat since the outside was crisp and the inside still moderately juicy. It was flavorful enough, and came with a starch or vegetable as the side. Adequately sized steaks. This puts it at the top of restaurants in Warren and makes it a solid selection for business meal, date, or happy hour.

The prices can be a little high, but you definitely get your dollars worth. An amazing view of the golf course, great service and even better food. If you need a place to sit and chat for a while, this is a great place.

I recently stayed in the Avalon hotel next door when interviewing for a residency in Youngstown, and the director brought us to the Chophouse for dinner the night before. Now, I realize this is not the typical experience at the restaurant, but I really enjoyed my time here! We each got quite a feast so I sampled everything in the restaurant it felt like… I started out with the mozzarella, expecting a mozzarella stick or something. What I got was a pound slab of mozzarella, breaded and covered in marinara sauce. It was amazing… I could not stop eating it even though I knew that I should. I then had Caesar salad, filet medallions in a stir-fry, and mashed red-skin potatoes. I think the potatoes were my favorite part… they had tons of flavor and texture! I ended the meal with banana cream pie because the waiter told me it was his favorite thing… it did not disappoint! It was nice and creamy with chocolate and caramel drizzled on top. The crust was flakey and delicious. I was stuffed to the brim when we left, but was very satisfied. The wait staff was pretty good… we had a difficult table since there were about 20 of us and people kept switching places. I never got my diet coke, but my water glass was always full. I would definitely be interested in trying this place out with just a few friends on a normal night.

We eat lunch here a lot during golf season. But occasionally we have dinner. Tonight was one of those nights. As usual a very good experience. Excellent staff make every effort to ensure it. The food is very similar to high end big city houses. Tonight we both had Fillet Mignon. Cook perfect. The gorgonzola butter was so good even though the steak would have been excellent without it. The house was packed up until about 7:30 so get reservations if you plan to dine prime time. Sunday’s they have special pricing too. Highly recommended this place for special evening dinner!

Really enjoyed the mozzarella marinara however the calamari was clearly frozen. The banana cream pie is worth getting again. The ambiance was comfortable and laid back. Would certainly come back!

Hosted a bridal shower here in a private room. Servers were excellent and fun. Food was delicious and everyone had a great time. Planning it was a pleasure. I live in Cleveland and had to come down a few times to plan and taste the food and I am so happy with the way it all turned out. Compared to Cleveland prices this was top notch at an extremely reasonable price. Thank you Ashley, Deb and Dimitris… it was great!!!

Stopped in for a steak on my birthday, and was not disappointed. I got the 14oz N.Y. strip steak with red smashed potatoes. It was great. Reasonable prices, upper crust atmosphere and great bar service(thanks Brittany). Only thing that was strange is that its pretty much on a golf course.

This is easily one of the best places to eat in the Warren area. The food is always consistent and the serves are attentive and knowledgeable. Our most recent visit was for a private party. The young lady that was hosting this party is an event planner by trade and was able to just let The Chophouse have control. That says a lot about their organization and follow-through.

Handicapped entrance needs to be posted. This was our first visit and my elderly mother had to climb the 6 – 8 steps in the front. When we got inside I asked about a handicapped entrance and the host explained it was all the way around the back of the building, but wasn’t posted out front. Atmosphere was very pleasant for a finer dining experience. Could use new chairs; not very comfortable, and the backs looked like they’ve seen their better days. The server did a very fine job of serving us; we had 18 for a family birthday celebration dinner. Servers/helpers should ALWAYS ask guests if they are finished with appetizers before removing them from the table. Some of our appetizers were taken away and there was still food on the plates and we were not finished with them. I was eating my salad with the fork in my hand and the server asked me if I was«still working on that». At a finer dining restaurant such as this one, the last thing you want is to feel rushed through dinner. The cheese ravioli were good; however, the meatball was as hard as a rock. The crème brûlée was overdone on top — tasted almost burnt and bitter. I would say that overall we were about 70% happy with our food and 95% happy with the service.

One of the best steaks in town! Awesome décor with a wide variety of tasty dishes to indulge in. One of my favorite restaurants in the Youngstown Warren area!

I like to go here. It is a pretty restaurant with views of the golf course. In warm weather you can dine on the veranda. If you want to have a relaxing dinner with friends, this place doesn’t rush you out of there the moment you lay your fork down. The service can be a bit challenging, depending on who the server is, but the last several visits have been pleasant for us. We like the angry lobster appetizer, the great steaks, and the Cherry’s fries.

The décor and ambience are amazing. I prefer to eat in the bar, much more intimate. Food is very good, but incredibly over priced for the quality.

I was staying at the attached hotel recently. It was cold outside and snowing, and after skidding all over the place the last thing I wanted to do was get back in the car and search for a restaurant. Even though they closed at 9 and I called at 8:45, they still graciously agreed to do room service for me, so I didn’t have to haul my lazy butt down stairs. The filet was delicious and cooked perfectly. Not the best filet I’ve ever had, but definitely very good. The salad that accompanied was delicious with fresh chopped veggies and lots of bleu cheese in the dressing. The mashed potatoes were awesome. I don’t usually like mashed potatoes with the skins, but these almost converted me. It was also priced extremely reasonably. My filet was right around $ 23 and included a salad and a side. The service was, as previously mentioned, great. I’ve worked in restaurants before and have definitely been guilty of getting huffy when people walked in last second. They didn’t at all so that was pretty freaking rad of them. They delivered the food on real plates with an actual steak knife and real silverware. Definitely check out if in the area. Don’t expect Ruth Chris; take it for what it is: a great steak at a great price.

Worst experience ever! I have been to this restaurant in the past and looooved it! Unfortunately it has been several years and I expected the quality and service to remain stellar. How wrong I was! It took 30 minutes for us to be greeted to PLACE an order, 20 additional minutes to receive our DRINKS(2 martinis and a soda), another 30 minutes to place a food order, and when our order did finally arrive it only ¾ of it came out. We never did receive refills(although we ordered a second round), bread, or the salad we ordered!!! I am the first person to leave a positive review but in this case I have nothing positive to say. The Chophouse has obviously gone downhill and it saddens me as it used to be my favorite restaurant. :(. I will be leaving my memories of this place in the past. I recommend Enzo’s on Elm Rd. Much better service and food!
