Roundabout Cafe

My son worked there for a few shifts, was promised that his paycheck would be mailed out, and that was mid-​February. Today, my son walked there from home (quite a long walk) to find the owner there, who pulled $ 65.00 out of the $ 95.00 owed him in cash. No actual paycheck, and not even the full amount that he earned from work in late January and early February. In general, their food and service have declined in the past year or so. Now they have gone to a buffet-​only format for some days and times, and only offer the full menu at certain times. Last time I was there, they had a computer-​printed sign taped up when you come in that explains that the slow service is because they are supposed to be a stroll back in time, and that they are meant to have slower service. This was the same night we waited 15 minutes just for someone to take our order. It seems they are circling the drain, and after my son’s experience working for them briefly, I can’t say I’m shocked.

Wanted to try the ice cream but the freezer is broken. Won’t be fixed until April. I guess I will have to try again.

Great staff and good home made food. The burgers and sandwiches are phenomenal. Very kid friendly and the staff are all very nice and helpful. Service is fairly quick. I had heard good things about breakfast so we gave it a shot one day. It was pretty basic but tasted good. We will continue to frequent this restaurant at lunch and dinner. They have fun live music on certain nights that reminds you of simpler times and often hand out free cookies during performances.

I love this restaurant. Everything I’ve ever gotten from Here is to die for! Their hamburgers their milkshakes their pie. Good food all around!

Awful place… Cold — boring food. Filthy floor. Poor service. Bus person did not clean the table after clearing dishes — yes really… Did I mention poor service? Never again.

I took my family here. We went during lunch time on a weekend. The food was okay, just your normal diner food. The place is really big, and it has a lot of local history. The service was slow and the waitresses acted entitled and snooty. I’m sure we will probably not go back. Some people love this place. It just was not for us.

I go here for FRIED MUSHROOMS. They are so delicious! Not frozen out of a box… they are a little pricey for what seems like a small order, but it’s still not a horrible price.
Their burgers are pretty good, but seem to be maybe a pre-​fab patty, but maybe they have a burger press that makes them look like that.
Their fries are OK, they are the natural fries, which I like, but weren’t anything special. Some of their specialty burgers maybe have too many toppings on them for their own good.

This place is really good. Great food. Love the atmosphere, really old school classic feel.

Love this down home mom and pop place! The food and service are great every time we come in. Every meal is wonderful.

When this place first opened, it was a long wait and order time for food because they make it fresh. Now that they have got their feel for the kitchen and new environment, I can’t get enough of this place! It’s such a local and delicious restaurant! The girls working are always so polite and the food never disappoints!
