Vinnies is the REALDEAL Every time I pass by warrenton VA I make sure to pick up one of these pizza pies. I’ve lived in NY and and 100% Italian(for what is worth) and really love the food here. My favorite is Vinnies special. He gets my vote for best pizza in northern VA !

Dumpy, not very friendly, but very good reasonably priced pizza! Definitely a great and tasty hole in the wall pizza joint!

This is the BEST pizza. Especially since they deliver too! The ingredients are fresh and everything just tastes so flavorful. Couldn’t make a pizza any better. I recently moved here from closer in to DC and they have nothing this good there! They are also very fast, even at dinner time. You must pay cash but that’s not an issue for me. Not sure about the customer service issue other reviewers have. I don’t go to pizza shops to expect shiny floors and high class waiters. In fact, I don’t actually go to pizza places, period. Why do that when the whole joy of it is eating it in your own home?

Wonderful food that I have Greatly enjoyed for over 30 years now, Vinnie and his wife have something to offer for everyone. When it comes to quality and value they stand alone as your small town pizza — sub resturant, and the pizza and subs are only a part of the wide variety menu. Thanks for the Great food and service over the years.

I have been going here for about six months and they have never let me down. I only have experience with their pizza and that is why I am giving it such a high score, its fantastic! Like others have stated previously, their customer service leaves much to be desired. The owner is not particularly friendly but if you can look past that, its a great place to eat.

Zero stars for customer service! Called to place an order for a get together we were having and explained that we had 5 separate orders. I was shocked to be told«we don’t have the time for separate orders»… Seriously, who doesn’t have time to make money? I politely hung up and placed my $ 95 order with another local pizza shop that welcomed us with open arms. It’s a shame the service is so bad because the food is really good.

Authentic would be the word to describe Joe and Vinnie’s. Their food is always amazing and isn’t like all the american-ized crap you would get at big chain restaurants. Things run different here, because Vinnie is actually from Italy. In my opinion, for the quality of food you receive they should be charging big bucks. Vinnie is the real deal and does things differently, therefor, this is the best Italian food I’ve ever tasted! In regard to the comments saying that the customer service was bad, it’s not your typical«roll out the red carpet» restaurant. they are the real deal.

Service was good but the food was better. My steak and cheese sub was good. They do deliver but cash only

I have been a loyal Joe’s pizza and subs customer for over 40 years this the first time I have ever been treated the way I’ve been treated I called to order subs today and was told they do no longer do delivery due to the fact that I don’t tip I always give the driver an extra 2 or 3 dollars sometimes more I will no longer be a customer of Joe and Vinies

Ok… just moved to old town and I have been wanting pizza. I decided to give them a try despite mixed reviews. Service AWFUL from the phone to the pick up in the store. 2 teenagers worked the from that was filthy by the way! The owner sat in his chair at the desk not looking very hygienic. Pizza was… ok but the service sucked so bad and the restaurant was so dirty I won’t be back!

I grew up in an Italian family so Vinnie’s surliness just reminds me of home! :) That said, I love the pizza, subs, spaghetti… I even love that you get an extra big cup of dressing(French for me) for the salads! It’s not the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life, but it ISGOOD. It’s a great place to grab food on my way home from work when I’m just too tired to cook for my husband and daughter. For the folks that think the service Vinnie and the crew provide is bad, they clearly aren’t Italians… just sayin’.

I really want to like this place… But… The customer service is just SO awful that it’s not even worth it… Just go to/order from Pizzarama(similar food, better service, better delivery.) Joe & Vinnie’s changes their delivery times constantly, some days they would deliver lunch other days the won’t. Their phone etiquette is horrendous. Their food isn’t good enough to put up with their attitudes or dirty restaurant.

Joe and Vinny’s has perhaps the best pizza in the State of Virginia. The New York style isn’t uniform like dominoes or papa johns but instead is distinctly homemade. The pizza is delicious especially with their garlic sauce. Furthermore, while the restaurant itself is small, they have very friendly people.

I have lived in Warrenton for 17 years. I see this place a million times a week and never stop, I guess because of the look of the location(?). Like the other review i saw, I too, was amazed they were still in business. The kids and I were craving a steak and cheese and I have not found a great place for that yet in Warrenton. We stopped to try it. Very nervous. Inside:(sigh). Deep breath. Small, not so pretty. We were the only people there. We ordered. We sat down. Received our food and Man, was it good!!! Really good. I was impressed! We will go back again! Glad to have these guys in town and we are glad we stopped in!

Best New York style pizza in town! Perfect crust and perfect balance of sauce and cheese! Always good. Been eating their pizza for years now!

I love this place. Pizza is awesome. Great toppings, but the dough is what makes it special. It is the epitome of the mom & pop business that all the long-time locals know and love. Yes, the décor is dated. Yes, when they get busy the service can slow down. Honestly, I like it when there are few orders ahead of me, cause it means that business is good and word is getting out.

I would never give this a##hat my business! Just now getting around to writing this, but several months ago I called to order some subs to go and the old geezer(I believe it was the owner) treated me like a moron and got smart with me, so I told him to forget it I would take my business elsewhere! Nobody needs to be treated like that. Besides the one time we went before this the food was mediocre at best.

Been going here since 2002 and only now I post a review… Being from New York originally, we were disappointed at the lack of NY style pizzerias around here. Until we saw this place. It’s really the closest thing I can find to «NY Style» pizza. The subs are good too. The parking is ehhh — it’s in a small shopping center and there is one row of parking right in front of it(5 – 6 spaces and a handy cap one). Usually all full when I get there so park around the bend for the larger lot. They take credit cards but they prefer cash, which I understand since there is a fee for each credit card transactions that the vendors get charged with. I normally pay cash. Small dining area with games and juke box… We normally do take out. We will keep going back(usually every other Friday for Family Movie & Pizza Night)…

Inexpensive and tasty food. After passing by this place for over ten years that is sorta tucked away, I finally stopped in to check it out. I had a NY corned pastrami(hot) sandwich and a beer. The sandwich was great and cheap. The décor is straight out of the 1980’s complete with gumball machines, old menu board, and a Pac-Man video game. I liked the time capsule affect. You pay after you eat. I will be back regularly.

Joe and Vinnie’s is a little place in Warrenton serving New York and Sicilian style pizzas, subs, Gyros, pasta dishes and more. I had dinner here — I went with a 12″ steak and cheese sub — with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil, and banana peppers(I requested hot peppers — but I guess this is what passes for hot peppers here — not hot at all), plus an order of fries and a Diet Coke. I was ready to pay when I placed my order but the guy running the register told me I would pay after my meal(turns out this is «Vinnie»). For some reason this segued into him telling me he can’t afford to pay someone to run the register as they all want to much money these days and business is not as good as it could be…(I nodded my head in acknowledgement). A young girl working there brought my drink out, then my fries with a bottle of ketchup, and then a few minutes later my sub. While I was waiting, a lady sitting at the table behind me received her pepperoni pizza — I turned and told her it smelled wonderful — I asked her if the pizza here were good and she said they were excellent — so next time I will have to come back for some pizza! They bake their own bread here — the sub roll was toasted and was very good! Large thick wedges of tomato were in the sandwich — I picked those out and ate them first since they were so big! The fries were hot and crisp(they came unsalted) so I added some salt to them. The sub was excellent! There was a semi-steady stream of folks coming in to pick up to go orders of pizza. When I went to pay — I asked the guy who took my order if he was Joe or Vinnie — he stated«Vinnie.» I told Vinnie the sub was very good and thanked him and told him I would be back for pizza some time. The place delivers within a 4 mile radius.
