This place has healthy inexpensive and good food. I wasn’t keen on having to eat something at a hospital, but after eating breakfast, I came back for lunch, and I’ll be eating here even when I don’t have business at the hospital. It isn’t black bear bistro, so don’t expect gourmet organic foods, but they do have many local food resources and a great variety… I had a half order stir fry with shrimp and made my own side salad and had plenty of good food for six dollars. The dining area is quiet and there’s outside seating.

Frequently eat at the Bistro, because prices are good, and the food is great, especially the soups. The chef is talented, uses local produce whenever possible, and is health-conscious. A variety of selections is available, the location is convenient, and the buffet format is handy and provides access to an attractive seating area overlooking the grounds – large enough just to sit to be alone, enough room to eat with friends, and commodious enough for dinner meetings. Great place – I heartily recommend it!

The first time I went here I had to get over the creepiness of eating at a hospital. But there is a separate entrance and the facility is quite nice. It is self srrve eatery style set up with s huge dining area. Selection offered varied from sandwiches, daily hot plate, pizza, stir-fry station, fro-yo, fresh soups and a really great salad bar. Prices are reasonable. Lots of hospital staff eating here which is reassuring. The views from the dinning area are really nice and quite peaceful. There is an outside terrace which is really nice to visit. I work nearby so it is nice to be able to walk to the Bistro.
