This place is very good. My wife and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and as expected it was very busy. We wanted to sit outside on that beautiful day but there was an one hour wait. So we settled for the bar with no wait which is more my style anyway. I had the white chowder and whole belly clams. Very very good. They served nice bread with an apple cinnamon butter that was good but I prefer plain butter. Maybe serving both would be a good idea. We will be back!

Beautiful spot. Had to indoors due to hour wait outside. Understandable. Bar service was polite and on their toes. Bread was awesome. The they was sweet but awesome. Nice change. My husband prefers regular butter so maybe a couple pads of that in the basket would be great. Seafood fresh and tasty. We will go back.

I have to say Iggy’s went above and beyond to make our lunch outing from an assisted living a big success! when calling to make reservations I found out they do not take them on a Friday but they made an exception because of their age and disability and also with having separate checks. They had our table all ready for us right as we entered ramp side so we didn’t have to walk so far. Madison was our waitress she was gracious and patient on top of being very knowledgeable of the menu. The service was top-notch especially for being a table of ten. Everyone LOVED the food and was happy as a clam(no pun intended lol) we had white chowder(hot, creamy and delicious), lobster rolls with butter(big full chunks), Steamers, fried clams, and clam cakes which were wonderful. All our residents had a fantastic time, great food, great service and beautiful scenery! Thank you for your kindness!

I went here based upon Unilocal recommendations. I was in the Providence area on business from Phoenix. I ordered the Lobster Roll Dinner with the Clam Chowder and an order of Doughboys. I have never tried a lobster roll before but love lobster and have had the good stuff before. The particular one that I had was fresh, demonstrated by the bits of shell I found. I would not have waited in line for the lobster roll. It was tasteless but presented well. I would have, however have stood in a line 3 times as long for the clam chowder. True it does have a lot of potatoes, but my first bite was full of clams. The doughboys… oh my. It was very close to a religious experience. The 4 stars are for the chowder and doughbous. The lobster roll would be a 1 by itself.

Iggys food is always worth the wait, they’re batter is amazing. I find the new restaurant a bit more comfortable then the original Iggys restaurant. Better tables and seating, they even have a bar. I found it quite warmer inside the restaurant. They offer waitresses. No more having to stand in line next door! I recommend the boardwalk then the original Iggys

Very disappointed with this restaurant. Walked Ina be asked the bartender if dogs could sit down by the sanded beach area and were told yes. Then a sever comes out and says no dogs allowed… Every single outdoor restaurant allows dogs to be sitting outside except this restaurant. So we left and went to Blu, a dog friendly restaurant. Very dissatisfied.

This is a great sit down alternative to just chowder and clam cakes. This has a good variety of dinners. Including lobster and items that are not served in other iggys locations. I did have steamers as my meal. They were good. They do have a full bar which is great. The atmosphere is just as casual ass iggys next door.

This new restaurant is delicious! Iggy’s definitely takes it to a new level! I’ve been here twice so far and certainly enjoyed all meals! The restaurant is really nice compared to what is used to be. I feel that you certainly get a lot for your money! The meals are very reasonably priced and you get salad or soup, your meal with a starch and vegetable. I got the baked scrod and thought it was delicious! I’ve also had the special of scrod with lobster bisque over it which was really good. My friend got the fish and chips and certainly enjoyed her meal with fries, coleslaw and choice of soup or salad. My boyfriend and friends love the baked seafood platter too! Also, if you get a side of pasta it almost feels like an extra meal as well! Another friend did clam chowder combo which comes with 3 clam cakes — perfect for just a tasting of Iggy’s most well known dish! For seafood, I definitely think it is the top in the area! Service is very good and they are attentive. They also have a decent selection of beer. Also, their outside area is very nice with plenty of areas to hangout with a drink with a great view! They have definitely made amazing changes compared to what Marley’s used to be. Weekdays are great to come here. I came here on Saturday around 5:30pm and there was still a 45 minute wait but you can always wander or grab a drink at the bar. We ended up also being seated within 30 minutes too! If you love seafood, definitely give this place a try with a nice view of Oakland Beach!

Stephanie was an excellent waitress. The décor is beautiful. And I can’t wait to sit on the gorgeous deck, in warmer weather. My meal was so ad, which without asking was comped. I had shrimp scampi, served in a pile of angel hair pasta. Totally tasteless! Even the side salad was tasteless. My lunch mate had a fish sandwich, which I was secretly coveting. I also ordered s bloody mary, which was out of this world.

I’m told the outdoor gazebo will open may 1st ! Awesome. I noticed a tri flag pole outside by the gazebo… Which is ok BUT I find it distasteful to fly any flag of any nationality. In this case, the Italian flag flies overhead making those of other dissents feel unwelcome. Is it a big deal? No … So, save the hate retorts but the flag is still inappropriate. Other than that, fun place. Great staff.

Came here before the outside opened up so it was pretty busy inside. Sat at the bar and the beer prices were average. Got some fried calamari that seemed like they didn’t crisp it up enough as some parts were pretty doughy. I would have said something about it but I was ravenous so I ate it all very quickly. In addition we had some oysters which were good and a bowl of clam chowder which was ok.

How do you improve upon the Iggy’s Chowderhouse experience? Simple. Turn it into a sit down restaurant with a full bar. That’s exactly what Iggy’s Boardwalk is. My wife and I decided to take advantage of a free app & mini doughboy basket coupon. We went there for lunch on a Friday during Lent. While there were a lot of people, we were able to get a table right away. The service was very good albeit a little bit slow. It was more than 5 minutes before our waitress came to our table to take our drink order. She was super nice and chatty, so that helped to offset the wait. We started with the fried calamari. You get a generous portion for $ 8.99. It is served with 3 kinds of peppers and coated in a garlic butter sauce. It could have used a bit more sauce, but the squid itself was very tender. It was of much better quality than the order that you get next door at the Chowderhouse. My wife ordered the baked scrod with roasted potatoes and green beans almondine. I ordered the fish and chips and swapped the cole slaw for the green beans. Both dishes were great. They are priced the same as the Chowderhouse, but the food tasted fresher and less greasy. It makes a big difference when the food is not stuffed into take out containers. Our meals also came with chowder. My wife chose the white while I chose the clear. I’m pretty sure that the clear is not available at the Chowderhouse. It was very good. The mini doughboy basket comes with 6 doughboy that are maybe half the size of the traditional one. They are tossed in the usual sugar and are, what you would expect, Iggy’s doughboys. I should also mention that they serve a cinnamon butter with crispy bread while you are waiting for your food. As someone who turns his nose up at regular butter, I have to say cinnamon butter is one of the greatest culinary inventions that I have come across. After this experience, I can say that I would be less inclined to go to the Chowderhouse and more inclined to go to Boardwalk for my next Iggy’s craving. One other caveat is that the dining room is very loud when it is full. It’s not from music or anything like that. It’s just from all of the conversations going on. This is a nice addition to Oakland Beach, and I suspect that I’ll be there again soon.

Iggy’s now has a full service restaurant in Oakland Beach, to supplement the more casual chowder and clamcake ‘Shack’ next door. You can get your clamcakes, chowder and seafood entrees Alain with full bar now. Friendly service, good food, and nice location by the water…

Place was clean and neat, service was decent. Ordered chicken parm it was ok. Views and atmosphere where terrific! The manager or owner did table touches which was a nice surprise since now a days people do tend to care. We will definitely be back and will be recommending to friends and family.

I had been wanting to try this restaurant every since it opened cause I’m a big fan of the other Iggy restaurant. Since my son was visiting me for my birthday from out of state, we used this special occasion to try the new Iggy restaurant. We were more than pleased. I’m happy to say the high standards of the other Iggy restaurant was here. In fact the food was prepared to perfection. And the service was excellent. Our server, Jamie was very accommodating with every detail of our order making the entire dining experience one we won’t forget. Can’t wail for our next visit. We had the baked seafood platter and the shrimp scampi

Tried this place out with family that were in from out of town. They had never tried white clam chowder and really enjoyed it, along with the clam cakes. My lobster roll was perfect. I chose the hot version with butter on a grilled bun. My husband had the surf and turf. He liked the scallops, but the steak was a little tough. Sides were yummy. I asked for the corn on the cob and got a tiny nubbin or corn — probably should’ve gone with the cole slaw or something else. I’m slightly upset by the fact that there’s no baby changing station in the bathroom. This is a brand new restaurant. That should have been considered. A male employee seemed not all that apologetic about not having one and offered no options for me to change my child. Lovely.

I tried this place for the 1st time Saturday night. I was with a party of around 12 for a birthday. The staff was awesome. They were very attentive and always there to get us anything that we needed. The food portions were just right and everything from the drinks to the entrees was delicious! I’ll definitely come back again and I can’t wait to enjoy the outdoor entertainment this summer.

Love fresh seafood… reasonably priced. .love to have a few drinks while waiting or eating??? This is the place for you! My siblings, their spouses, cousin, friends all got together for an after Christmas meal here… my sister now lives in Vegas and was craving RI seafood, delicious clamcakes and chose Iggy’s Boardwalk!!! Oh so glad she did! the clamcakes were full of clams… yes chunks… not just one clams held on a string and waved over the batter as you get in some«seafood» restaurants! Needless to say, the chowder was the same way!!! we all had different ones. white, clear or red and they were all full of clams, delicious broth and potatoes cooked to perfection! the portions for the meals were a good size… the scrod was fresh, not floating in butter, tasty and all meals come with fries, baked potato and a choice of fresh veggies or a salad! The service was excellent, the restaurant and rest rooms were exceptionally clean and everyone was friendly! I would definitely return again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Iggy’s Boardwalk to friends, family and strangers! Oh and I forgot to mention, a round of drinks for 8 people… which consisted of beers, wine and mixed drinks came to UNDER $ 30!!! Can’t beat that!

Wonderful touch to Iggys. The boardwalk has a very different touch than the actual Iggys. But both right by the water, a nice view and seafood. The boardwalk for right now is an outdoor on the patio, in the back restaurant. And right behind where you are seated is a bar gazebo. Everything is outside, and the tables have umbrellas over them so the sun doesn’t kill you. First and foremost the menu is nothing like Iggys, they have an actual seafood menu, and 5.00 appetizers doesn’t get better than that. The food is great, I really enjoy it every time I go. And the drinks are great. It’s a little difficult sitting outside because stuff likes to fly away, but the view is amazing! The staff is very friendly but they’re always short staffed, making the wait a little longer than it should be when waited on. And there’s about 12 – 15 tables outside, not including the bar so once it’s full you have to wait. That’s my only 2 negatives and as to why this place doesn’t get 5 stars. Otherwise go here!
