Service was pretty bad, gave us a dirty table… I think i sat in some sort of spit… menu was so sticky the pages stuck together. Waitress couldnt remember what was on the garden salad. Never asked me my temp of steak. Only thing good was the 4 $ «american beer of the month », budlight, which also confused me. Food was good, but gave me a small small scoop of potatoes. Would not go back.

Had a lunch takeout order yesterday and no one wanted to help us check out. There were 4 girls in the kitchen and they just glance at us while we waited. We probably waited at the counter for a good 8 mins. We just stood there and listen to them talk about their plans for the night. Nothing was done until a guy walked into the area where they were chatting and asked if someone could help us. She said«oh I thought you were taken care of». We keep looking at you guys and waited… So no the Casper the ghost didn’t help us. Just think they should have someone take care of only take out orders.

4 stars due to the great service provided by the server Courtney! She was fantastic. Severs like hers keep businesses going. They would have gotten the 5th star but certain portions were small for the expensive price and the sandwich I ordered did not come out at all like explained on the menu. But that server made up for everything! She was awesome!

I had an overall good experience here. I went on a Saturday night so of course there was a wait. The wait definitely could have gone smoother but overall, it wasn’t the longest time I’ve waited to be seated somewhere. Our waitress was very good and immediately brought out my boyfriend’s correct side when they gave him the wrong one. The fried pickles were delicious and so were both of our meals. I would come back here.

It had been several years since I had last visited ‘Smokey Bones’ in Warwick. This was not unintentional, because I remember being quite disappointed in the food, the atmosphere, the service… pretty much everything. Now that my favorite BBQ place has closed down(LJ’s in Pawtucket), I decided to give these guys another shot. Good Call!!! The restaurant was clean and neat, with the exception of some slightly dingy signs that hung from the ceiling that separated the front dining area from the bar. The many TV sets that dangled from the ceiling and the accompanying speaker select stations at each table were not to be found! This was a major annoyance on our previous visit. The only TV’s I could see were in the bar area, an appropriate place for them. Thank you, SB, for getting rid of these monstrosities. The food was excellent all around. Diane had the ½ barbecued chicken and loved it along with the side dishes(she chose the cinnamon apples and steamed broccoli, along with the garlic bread that comes with the meal). The skin was blackened and pleasantly spicy, and the meat inside was tender and flavorful. Though the 1/c chicken looked a bit smallish, she could not finish, so that became leftover number one. A temporary dental issue kept me from trying the chicken wings or the ribs, and we were a bit too early for the beef brisket. So I opted to build my own burger — a turkey burger patty topped with cheddar, pulled pork, and a tomato on a ciabatta roll. The verdict? Delicious and filling!!! The pulled pork that was added was without its own sauce, so I added the KC-style BBQ sauce — one of four available at the table… yum! I ate half the burger, and the other half became leftover number 2. I opted for the mashed potato and gravy as my side(I’d have preferred to try the fire roasted corn, but the aforementioned dental issues prevented that). The potatoed were a bit pasty(perhaps they were instant?), and the gravy was a bit sparse, but reasonably tasty. There WERE a few little glitches. I had ordered a glass of wine, which our waitress(Courtney) brought right after bringing the rest of the meal, rather than at the same time or(preferably) a bit before. Diane’s decaf was undrinkable, despite being freshly brewed. Courtney was quick to replace it with a cup of tea at Diane’s request. And the little ‘ziosk’ gaming console erroneously added $ 1,99 to our bill though we had not used it. There was no problem having it removed from the bill. I’m hoping these ‘ziosk’ machines — which are popping at many chain restaurants — die out quickly. All in all, we were pleased with our visit and will most likely return in the future — after my permanent crown allows me to take a bite out of the ribs(or wings)! Overall score — 3– ½ stars out of 5. Now, if you’ll please excuse me, I have some leftovers calling my name!

Stopped by to meet a buddy for lunch on Tuesday Sat at the bar and receive the worst frigging service ever from the bar tender. My buddy order for me because I was running late and she never even bother to put a setup for me so I had to sit there for 10 minutes after a food runner brought out our lunch before she came around to get my drink order and still never brought over a setup of utensil so I can eat my lunch. There was a total of 7 customers at the bar that’s including myself. Never asked us if everything was ok, oh yeah that’s right she never came back because our glasses where both empty. Imagine sitting at a bar and not see the bartender to have you drink refilled. And I have to ask, we order the brisket sandwiches. I’ve had it before and it was slices of brisket on 2 slices of grilled bread. This time is crumbs and fatty ass bits of what was suppose to be brisket smothered in cheese with peppers and onions. the bits of fat and crumbs in those sandwiches wouldn’t have amount to 1 slice of brisket. What a fucking rip off that was. It was the worst frigging sandwich. We couldn’t eat the frigging sandwich it was so disgusting. I’ve never ever gotten a brisket sandwich that was put together that way. And on top of the shitting service and I’m dead serious about this she was just awful. I had to get my own frigging utensils and napkins. We both only was able to force down half a sandwich each before calling it quits. And wouldn’t you know it the bar tender never even ask why we didn’t eat the other half or why we didn’t want to take with us. My buddy was treating so I didn’t want to embarrass him, I was about to launch a ass chewing to the bartender and the cooks as well as the manager who is not watching over the business as he’s paid to do. If I went in there and got the same service and shitty meal I would lose my fucking mind in there. I gave 1 star because I couldn’t post my shitty experience there unless I gave at least 1. My option, it should be 0!

So disappointed I’ve been to this place a few times In the past and it WAS good. Where shall I begin, the waitress was a scatter brain, she forgot our utensils so we had to ask for them. I asked for a sprite and she forgot, so we had to ask a second time. She was sweeping the booth behind me and kept banging our booth. The food was mediocre, I had the boneless ribeye that lacked any flavor, and the baked potato was Luke warm. The fire roasted corn had no butter on it. If i had to give a letter grade for this visit, I’d give it a D.

Wow, what a colossal disappointment. I’m a proud veteran, former Captain in the greatest army in the world, the United States Army. So a couple of days ago, I received an email from Smokey Bones, advertising a free pulled pork meal for vets on Veterans Day. Yum, yum, I said to myself, examining the photo of succulent meat, broccoli and beans. So tonight I went to the restaurant for dinner and was handed the«Veterans» menu, which consisted of the advertised pulled pork meal and a hamburger. I ordered the pulled pork dinner and was lamely informed by the server that this restaurant, whose business is barbecue ribs, was all out of pulled pork. WTF! I said to myself. The server appeared nonchalant and asked if I wanted to order anything else from the regular menu. I politely declined and was so pissed off I paid for my beer and left the restaurant without even finishing the beer. It was obvious Smokey Bones’ management cares little about vets to plan adequately for the marketing campaign and was only interested in getting us in the door, with no intention of making sure there was enough food. I seriously doubt the management includes any vets because a veteran would have been fully prepared for Veterans Day and at least offered a substitute meal after running out of the advertised selection. No wonder many vets are treated like second class citizens. I’ll never eat there again.

Tried the baby back and St. Louis ribs. Did the dry Memphis rub and their cinnamon sugar rub. Enjoyed both the ribs but wish the baby back ribs weren’t so fatty. Wanted to try the Texas Brisket but not ready until 4pm. I would come back to try the brisket.

Warm beer. Cold mashed potatoes. Ordered baked potato that came w/either pulled pork or brisket on it. I opted for the latter. Was about a teaspoonful. Out of sourcream. Place that has baked potatoes an nachos on menu should send someone to store if out of sour cream. Got Brunswick stew. I lived in GA. This heavy tomato soup with few bits of corn tasted ok but wasn’t Brunswick stew. There were 6 of us an we eat out every wkend an few days thru wk. Have not had a meal this bad in ages. Son had long hair in mashed. That was when we had to say something. Our server was really wonderful throughout entire meal. She got manager who also apologized an offered us free desserts an took son’s meal off tab. We passed on desserts. My husband had sausage he enjoyed an my sister liked the dirty rice. Overall was a fail an it’s a shame with nice menu an nice server.

Haven’t been here in years but I remember loving their pulled pork, I have to say I was so disappointed. When we arrived, no one was at the host station, there were some customers standing around with the buzzers but there was one customer standing in front of the hostess station. He ended up leaving because no one showed up for a good 5 minutes. I put our name in when she came and didn’t have to wait very long. Ordered the chicken wings which were ok, guess I am spoiled with the great wing places that we have in the Warwick area so these were disappointing. The pulled pork wasn’t as I remembered, it didn’t fall apart like in the past, it had some fat on it and was chewier than expected. The cheese fries were good and so was the corn. The ribs were also disappointing because they didn’t fall apart in comparison to the ones from the other chain restaurant. I don’t frequent chain restaraurnats so maybe I just expect better quaility but the prices here are high so I would expect the food to match. Used to really like this place so maybe it was a fluke experience but I think there are so many better places nearby for good BBQ with better service.

We only get here twice a year but look forward to each time. Their original sauce on the«baby back ribs» are great. They have other sauces on the table that are also good. Sometimes the ribs can be too dry and that’s disappointing as was my wife’s last night. Mine was very good and they are the meatiest ribs I’ve seen. The full rack at $ 23 was well worth it. The 1⁄3 rack has 4 ribs, house rack has 8 ribs and full rack has 12 ribs. The usual sides are very good… baked beans, cole slaw, crunchy onion rings. Enjoy!

This place is huge! I love the big bar and several tv’s the staff is good and the food is good too. My favorite part was the sangria I had it was very tasty & refreshing! With strawberries and mint. I had a dry rub chicken wing appetizer that I’ll order again and a salad that was very good with chicken, artichokes & avocados.

This chain has some very unique food. the appetizers are more fun then the main dishes. I enjoyed having loaded tater tots in a martini glass, but was disappointed when the ribs were over cooked and dry.

Well, slather me up some baby back mediocrity and charge me a firstborn! I get it — it’s a chain, but I eat at Applebee’s with the excitement of a 19924 year-old finding Barney the Dinosaur at his b-day bonanza. So you’ve really gotta up the suck factor to get me down. Smokey Bones is a haven for overpriced, under-portioned ‘BBQ’, served up at a mind-numbingly slow pace. I’ll start with the price. I’m not sure what pinkies they’re trying to stick out with these dishes, but they are not worth the tags. 10 – 12 bucks for a menu-item burger that barely reaches the size of a BK Whopper, complete with absolutely 0 sides. Want fries? A scoop of a max of about 15 potato slices will cost you an extra Washington. If you pop over to the entreé section, you’ll be looking at some 12 – 18 dollar plates that I can only imagine fall short of their Louisiana aspirations. Though the late night usually isn’t too shabby, prime time service is usually the speed of a pre-death escargot. I don’t come here nearly often enough to make an assessment on the dinner crew anymore, but I used to attribute most of this to kitchen flubs. If you’re cravin’ some proportionally affordable and satisfying BBQ fixin’s — you’re better off grabbing a rack of ribs at one of the other TGI Applebee’s chains in the greater Warwick/Cranston area.

Three safe rating for your run of the mill chain BBQ. This isn’t a place to write home about, but it’s a decent place for a brew and a sammich. My friend and I headed in around 11:30 for some lunch on a Saturday. As usual, it took five minutes to be greeted, another ten to get drinks and our meals in, and so on and so forth. The waitresses don’t have any personality(bar staff is awesome though) and seem very airheady. I understand the concept of pretty waitresses drive sales, but I don’t want to see jeans so tight that I can see the waitress’ iPhone falling out of their rear pocket along with some skin. I ordered a BBQ pulled pork sandwich with an upcharged order of tater tots. The pulled pork sandwich was cold on the outside and only warmish on the inside. The toasted bun didn’t really seem toasted, just browned and pretty meh. THETATERTOTSTHOUGHAREWORTHTHE $ 2UPCHARGE. Crispy, warm, not too overcooked, and delicious. I would come back for that. All in all, smokey bones is meh, but have some key saving points such as their cheap liquor and cheap apps on the weekdays after ten. Worth it for that, but not much else, thus the not blown away 3 star rating.
