Great place for music but not for food. I had to send back my Lobster ravioli because it was complete tasteless mush with what was obviously jar sauce. Awful. Eat elsewhere then go have a nightcap and hear some great local music.(The drinks may be pricey on the weekends because they charge a bit more to cover the music rather than charge a cover to get in.)

Amazing drink and the sirloin steak was cooked to perfection and the risotto was mouth watering, I recommend this place to everyone!

The Dautaj never disappoints! The food and service are both ALWAYS consistent. The staff always treats your dining experience as if it were your first time dining with them. The ambiance is great and the abundance of outdoor seating in the warmer months is a huge plus! I’ve come here countless times and I highly recommend you try it out!

Had an amazing time with a live music that they have on weekends. The food was outstanding. The service was impeccable. They are very welcoming and attentive with their guest. The person that served me and my friends I believe it was the manager. Valentino was a terrific. I was treated better than I expected. I’m definitely coming back next weekend! For the music, the food and specially the staff. I recommend for all to go and experience the blast I had there.

«Excellente!» Had a delicious dinner last night to celebrate the end of summer. An inviting and charming location, as well as, a friendly and professional staff. All fresh and homemade entrees were served with a 9-piece string band in the background. Definitely worthy of a return visit. Can’t wait to return for the applefest! An A + rating!

The atmosphere is incredible with the lovely outdoor porch and romantic Inn feel however, the food is undesirable. We’ve tried the mussels, oysters, caprese salad and all were tasteless. The salads are smothered in dressing and the bloody Mary’s were awful. Love the location, such a shame the food isn’t better:

Went to the Dautaj Saturday for the first time and was not disappointed. It was a beautiful night to sit on the patio. Great service and even better food. Had the Seafood Risotto and it was one of the best Risottos I’ve had. Looking forward to a return trip.

I should have listened to everyone telling me not to go there. If you know good food then you will not like this place. We wanted to experience it for ourselves and come to our own conclusion but when we don’t even have to mention the places name and people know right away which place your talking about when you say«we are going to this place in Warwick and heard it’s not really good but we want to try it» and they say«The Dautaj?» we should have known. First let me say the atmosphere was beautiful and it was really busy there. Which kind of shocks me after eating the food there. We ordered to start the calamari which was soooooo chewy! The menu said it came with a hot or mild sauce but we weren’t asked which one we wanted and they just brought us out a basic marinara which was fine. But the calamari was way to chewy. As I watched others eat it, you could see them saying the same thing. I actually felt like I was in the movie Christmas Vacation where they were trying to chew down the food but couldn’t. I ordered the chicken palermo and my fiancé ordered a chicken dish that was stuffed with prosciutto, mozzarella and in a light champagne pink sauce. I hate when you go to a nice place and no salad comes with your meal. And I thought this was just that because no one mentioned a salad and what dressing I would like. But a salad did come out with a house dressing. The dressing was the only thing we liked at this place! The chicken that was stuffed and came with a light champagne pink sauce came out in a heavy orange marinara type deal. When I tasted his meal I actually said«is this chicken parm?» not knowing exactly what he ordered. Mine was meh. The food did not seem fresh and I honestly felt like I opened a lean cuisine or some frozen dinner and microwaved it. You can tell when something is fresh and this was not! The food was very bland and chewy. I really can only say that the food was«meh». I did not finish my meal and left so upset that my meal was not something fulfilling. And I feel the need to clarify something. People kept saying that the owner of this place is related to the owner of Grappa’s however, we went to Grappa’s wine bar for a drink earlier and they said no relation. The guy used to work there that’s all. Anyways for one glass of wine a mixed drink, one app, and two meals our total came to $ 78 and it was a waste of time and money.

On a holiday weekend looking for an interesting place to eat that’s not the usual burger and fry joint we found this place and liked the looks of patio dining-We also had a 3 year old with us with eclectic taste so hoped there was food that was worth the money-Sat on the outside porch and the staff was amazingly attentive –Our food was delivered quite timely and we had the hot antipasti which was lovely with clams and mussels and eggplant rollatini, stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat and other goodies-After that we had the mushroom risotto and tortellini with peas and prosciutto-our boy had a cheeseburger as large as his head and french fries with sea salt-Overall the meal was wonderful and we will return another day

Expected a lot more. Calamari appetizer was rubbery. Spedini was more like a grilled cheese. Sea bass was not fresh and veal was tough. For the price point, $ 160 for 2, food just wasn’t there. Staff and ambience was exceptional but the food wasn’t.

Service and food are amazing. We had the seafood risotto and the sea bass special and it was out of this world. There was live music by a duo Dominique and Julian and that made the night even more memorable. Highly recommended!

Stumbled in on the Sunday of Memorial Day for a late lunch and what a treat it was. Yummy home-style Italian with roots in the South Bronx. Salads were fresh, baked cavatelli ragu was hearty w/house-made pasta, and the veal chop special satisfied my hungry man. Best of all was the service. Leo, one of the family members, set the welcoming tone. A fleet of other doting servers continued the mood. Gotta return for jazz night some time!

I had a wonderful experience here and really enjoyed my meal. I like coming in the Summertime, to enjoy the outdoor seating. The service, menu, and wine list make me very happy – and I’m a choosey eater. This is a foodies dream. Plus – Warwick is beautiful so its a win win. :)

I had always wanted to go here for dinner, driving by it always looked so nice especially the atmosphere. Once I found out it was Italian food I was more than excited! I went last night, a Thursday with my boyfriend I was amazingly impressed. We were sat immediately around 6:30 and greeted by our sever. The service was perfect. Neither of us went without a drink or had to wait for someone to come back to our table. The food is easily what made this place a 5. I expected«good Italian food.» I wasn’t expecting anything remotely special. The prices are higher than most places but definitely not unacceptable. The quality of the food makes it entirely worth it. I had a chicken dish and my boyfriend had salmon. We were both shocked at how wonderful our meals were. The flavor was amazing. Hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve had the pleasure of being.

Empty Lobster Shells — Where’s the Meat? Or were they recycled lobster Shells? After choosing a WHOLE Lobster over pasta(while sitting outside in a dimly lit area) I was served lobster shell pieces over the pasta. Thinking the enpty shells(Hey — the waiter insisted I was to receive a WHOLE lobster?) meant that the meat was in the pasta, I began my search and came up empty. Where’s the meat? More frighteningly, was I served someone’s previously picked shells??? No one could give me answers as to what I was served… just kept saying we won’t charge you for it … Not the point, what the heck was i given is what I needed to know. No answers… that is unacceptable and unethical. The restaurant industry has an enormous responsibility to the public… this place failed. I will never recommend this place to anyone! Don’t go, you might be the next one they pull a fast one on.

This is OK place but their chicken has no taste. They could use more salt and pepper or other spices to make that chicken have more character. Also, the owners of this place are Albanians not Italians so I don’t know why they are trying to be Italians and make this place an Italian restaurant. This restaurant’s food has very little in common with real Italian food. The fish my friend ordered for dinner was also just OK. Nothing special there…

We returned to this restaurant for our second visit on a Sunday evening. We started at the bar and once again Ray the bartender made a perfect cocktail for us. We moved to our table and were greeted by the waiter who described their specials of the evening and also told us to feel free to ask for anything that was not on the menu or if we would like something prepared specially. Very nice. We ordered the Clams Oreganata appetizer. It had a fresh delicate flavor, not over-salted or over-seasoned. For our entrée we ordered one of the specials, a rack of veal prepared in a wine reduction that was absolutely delicious. After we finished our desert and espresso(which was very good, not bitter at all) we were served two complimentary glasses of very nice home made anisette. A nice touch that was much appreciated! I rated my visit five stars for a perfect dinner with an attentive staff and great atmosphere.
