7-Eleven

I used exactly one ATM after moving to DC before my debit card was cloned and $ 1,100 was stolen from my bank account. The one in this 7-​Eleven.

The ATM at this location had a skimmer installed on it, and it was used to steal money from my bank account, as well as the bank accounts of many of my neighbors.
This business is a bad neighbor. It’s a haven for drugged out crack heads. If you want to get harassed by a homeless person, this is a good place to go.

This 7 – 11 has gone from bad to slum. It’s filthty and an embarrassment. The staff does not care about customers, plus dealing with so called homeless people sitting in the doorway is gross. I live in the neighborhood and will circulate to close this pit down.

This 7 – 11 is walking distance from my home. Im a regular here. I dont understand how police are parked out in front of this 7 – 11 allday LITERALLY eating donuts but not doing their job. Its people that stand out front of this 7 – 11 harassing people for change. And its the same people all the time. I can walk over there right now and see the same guys out asking for change. And when you say you dont have it, they get upset and are rude. And the police does NOTHING. Its usually about 5 parked police outside of this 7 – 11 everyday i walk pass. Anyways, its usually clean when i go to this 7 – 11, but sometimes the Money Order machine does not work especially around the first of the month. Really? This is the time where that needs to work so people can pay their rent on time. However, the customer service is okay. Not super great. But they usually put on their smiles for customers. But hey welcome to DC…

Small, dirty, not the best selection. Wouldn’t bug any baked goods. Saw bugs in the case.

Horrible customer service. I just wanted my friend to get her bus ticket receipt from this store and even though they are supposed to help print the ticket receipt, they refused to help. They were suly and didn’t care enough. I will never do business with them.

I gotta remember to stop eating those hot dog-​wrapped in cornbread thingie. They aren’t that tasty… :-/​
But I have cheap water (remember… no TAP WATER!) and strawberry milk! yum!

Service in the morning is almost always indifferent. Coffee is good and they have big creamer dispensers, not just little single-​serving thingies, so that’s really good.

Even though this place is a revolving door of homeless people, it has one important feature that no where else in my neighborhood can boast: a Slurpee machine. Although fro-​yo and gelato abound in the yuppie mecca that is Logan Circle, only 7-​Eleven can deliver that frozen, syrupy, artificially-​colored deliciousness any time of the day or night. And for that, I will always be a loyal patron.

WHAT THE SHIT IS GOING ON HERE?
As my friend and I were checking out, there was a dude on his cell phone having this whispered yet loud conversation while circling the aisles of 7-​Eleven…
«…yeah…yeah get it. get that newspaper.»
:pause:
«…aww yeah, take that newspaper and you roll it up… roll it up tight.»
:pause:
«aiight, you got that rolled up newspaper… good…»
At this point we had to leave because I was admittedly both intrigued and a little weirded out. I don’t know WHAT they were doing with newspaper but I now have a void in my soul because I will NEVER know.
This 7-​Eleven is dirty, obviously has a sketchy crowd and is really just your typical city 7-​Eleven. I gave it 2 stars for the sheer entertainment factor of the phone conversation that has been forever ingrained into my memory.

I hate that I’m a fan.
My office is across the street. I find myself staring outside the window, gazing dreamily at the 7 – 11. If I don’t feel like battling the lunchtime lines at Whole Foods, I opt for a Bean and Cheese Taquito at 7 – 11 for a buck and some change. My lowest 7 – 11 point? Eating a large bag of Cheetos because I was too lazy to go home and make lunch. Oh yeah, and the tuna sandwich that stunk up the office. Sorry guys.
7 – 11 is one of my vices. Since I eat healthy for the most part, I like indulge in some junk food from time to time to reward myself. Good thing they don’t have Reeses Sticks, I’d paying 7 – 11 a daily visit if that was the case.

Southland Corp. ought to close this place down as it offends the name 7-​Eleven.
The ever-​present panhandlers solicit everyone coming through the door. The items on the shelves and in the coolers are not priced. The staff is slow and don’t care. The only thing convenient about this convenience store is the location.
This isn’t part of the solution for this area, it’s part of the problem. It’s taking up a space where a decent market might exist.

Yes I’m reviewing a 7-​Eleven. It’s for a reason though.
It’s scary. And terrible. And smells bad. I would recommend walking miles out of your way (if you really really feel the need to go to 7-​Eleven for some god forsaken reason) to go to another branch. Only go to this one if you want to be disappointed that they somehow have Cream of Mushroom soup in stock but not classic Tomato, and want to be screamed at by random neighborhood crazies.

Complete garbage, the lady was barely able to respond to me, mostly annoyed cause I had a a coupon from Coke they wouldn’t honor and if anywhere should it so be a multinational chain

The pinnacle of slevendom. I miss this oh most convenient of Sevs. Friendly staff knew neighborhood folk by name and tobacco.
