Anthropologie Store

It is not as big as the Georgetown location but I like it better because the Georgetown location can get so crowded, and this one is a bit more calm and therefore more pleasant to shop in.

PRO: Convenient metro-​accessible location in downtown DC; much calmer and quieter than the Georgetown location which is a zoo; very helpful and friendly manager and mostly helpful sales staff.
CON: Smaller space than other Anthro stores, so a correspondingly smaller selection (including the sales items); very few mirrors on the sales floor which is inconvenient when you just want to hold up an earring or try on a necklace and see how it looks in the mirror without having to use the dressing room; occasionally inadequate staffing at the cash register.
BOTTOM LINE: For me, the helpfulness of the store staff and the convenient store location outweigh the cons. Highly recommend.

I work not too far from the store on F Street. When you first walk into the store I smells like one of their fragrant candles. The sales associates are very helpful and informative. The décor is wonderful and the store is very clean. They have a plethora of my kind of dress; fitted top and flare bottom. This store is expensive but you get what you pay for. The quality is excellent!

Every time I come to this location, no one is helpful or friendly especially the cashiers. The store does have a great layout and convenient location. Not really sure if I’ll come back to this location.

I love all Anthropologies… And this one is great, of cour Easy Metro access for when you just can’t make it to Georgetown and they’ve got tons of inventory.

This store is my happy place. And I don’t just mean Anthropologie in general, but this store location specifically. The manager is super sweet and always very accommodating. She and her staff always greet me warmly and go out of their way to help me find what I’m looking for. This is why I always come to the F st location over other Anthro stores.

Very specific to a certain design aesthetic — «country, cutesy, chic.» It was etsy, before etsy. Why the middle star rating? There wasn’t anything too exciting and the prices were ridiculous. I don’t mind paying for quality or design, but it looked pretty run-​of-​the mill to me and I noticed most of the items were the same «off shored» clothes you find pretty much everywhere else.

I love this store and have an addiction to it. If there was an «Anthropologie Anonymous» I should probably go.
There’s not much to say, because you probably already know what Anthro is. As for this store, its in a convenient downtown, Metro-​accessible location, which is its good side. As for the bad parts, I think its inventory is a bit smaller than the other stores in the area (namely Georgetown and Friendship Heights) and oddly enough, the staff isn’t always great. Usually Anthro stores have super-​friendly, super-​knowledgeable staff, and at this location, I’ve run into 2 – 3 who don’t seem to know what is going on and border on apathetic. Hopefully this changes soon, because otherwise, its one of my favorite places.

My favorite Anthro in DC. Way quieter and less crowded than the Georgetown one. Downside’s a smaller selection and smaller sale area, but sometimes it’s just nice not to have to fight through the crowd. And since it’s right by the Gallery Place Metro and a short walk from Metro Center, it’s a convenient one to go to when you want to just pop in instead of making the hike down M street in Georgetown.

Terrific experience here! I was the first customer in the store on this Tuesday morning (best time to shop is during the weekday mornings, imo). I came in to return the Sandy Hook Pullover I wanted to make work and make mine, but unfortunately I just couldn’t get the collar to rest right on me.
As soon as I walked in, a salesperson greeted me from afar. I walked toward the register and she met me there, asking what she could do to help. She was very courteous and smiley, without being annoying. She asked if there was anything wrong, and I told her my reason for returning. She said, «No worries! There’s lots of new sweaters in the store today. Maybe you’ll find something else.» She also encouraged me to sign up to be an Anthropologie member and compared the membership to having a CVS card where I can receive a 15% discount on my birthday and two free shipping periods during the year along with other promotions. Very informative!
Once the return was completed, I took a look around the sale section. This section is much more spacious than its counterpart in Old Town. A salesperson asked if I was finding everything ok or needed help. When I said I was doing fine, she put some merchandise on the rack and walked away to fold clothes in another part of the store.
I also was impressed by the fact that Anthropologie will donate 10 cents to a charity if you do not use a shopping bag when hauling your purchase out. Plus, I love that they use recyclable products when shipping your order!
Overall, this might be a smaller Anthropologie, but the service and layout more than makes up for it. I loved my experience!
(Unlike the other three clothing stores I went to this morning, this does not have a security guard upfront. I don’t understand why.)

Agree with previous reviewers… Its selection is not as good as the Georgetown one, but that also means there’s not a huge crowd or a crazy line waiting to checkout.
The employees are super nice and very helpful. They even helped me find items that I saw online (shipping is ridic).
Store is clean and it’s easy to find items.

I have been to all the area Anthropologies, and this one is definitely a lot smaller than the 2-​story Georgetown colossus, but the sale room is tidy and open (not a 90-​degree swamp closet!) and the young women working there are un-​stressed and very friendly.
Because the store just isn’t as big, the selection can’t compare to whats available at the other locations. However, this store is so much calmer than G-​town, so it’s a much more pleasant shopping experience. I’ll definitely continue to shop here, despite the fact that it’s more of a commute :)

To begin with, I love Anthropologie. It’s the wiser, cooler (and pricier) big sister to Urban Outfitters. I’m so happy they finally opened up shop in Chinatown.
Their clothes are both eclectic and classic often with outstanding quality and details. It is a bit expensive with nary a shirt under $ 50 or a dress under $ 80. But I don’t think it’s overpriced; the quality is just that good (hand-​knitted sweaters, lined natural fiber dresses, etc). My personal definition of having «made it» will be when I can shop here all the time without heading straight for the sales section or a care for price. If your pocketbook doesn’t allow for casual shopping at Anthropologie, it is an absolutely great place to find a nice dress for what a wedding or benefit or any fancy function. The piece will certainly impress and last through a few seasons.
Their house goods section is basically crack. With everything from pillows to plates to door knobs to bird cages, the overall style is chic, countryside, vintage. I want everything. The accessories are equally addictive and, in the words of Tom Haverford, a great way to «Treat-​Yo-​Self!»
This particular Anthropologie store is great. It’s not the largest, but it’s well organized and has a great variety of clothes, house ware and accessories. When I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon it was, to my relief, not crowded at all. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They basically became my personal shoppers while I pondered how to wear a summery dress to a fall event. My absolute favorite thing about this store was that the sales section was perfectly organized — a true miracle and delight.
