JRINK Juicery

Great location, friendly employees, and delicious juice! I had a very pleasant experience at this location, and I will definitely be back!
Some of my faves: Black Magic, Pick Me Up 1, Fuel Me Up 1 & 2, & Clean Me Up 3.

Jrink is such an awesome juicery and I’m sad that they do not have locations on the west coast. I was here for business a few weeks ago and needed some fresh juices to drink since I had been eating such rich and fatty food while in D.C. for the week. I’m so glad I came here because this place fulfilled my juice wish list. I always look for ginger, turmeric, and lemon when I buy juices and they had the perfect juice that tasted so good. In addition to that the pricing was fair. I also love the fact that the juices come in glass bottles for reuse if you wanted to do that. None of the juiceries that I go to back home do that. Please make it to California soon!

I call this JRINK To Go. It’s super convenient in Penn Quarter. I usually run in there, grab a juice and a mini shot, and keep it going. I think JRINK is DC’s only local cold pressed juice place so I prefer getting my juice here because it’s always fresh. So delish!

The juice from this company tastes fine and they’ve clearly put a lot of thought into their image and marketing, the glass bottles, etc… but I am waiting to see more substance over style before I come here again… my big complaint is that they provide no nutritional information whatsoever for their juices. I am not even asking that it be on the bottle, but one would hope that it might be on their website or that the staff could at least be knowledgable and have a ballpark range as to how much sugar there is or how many calories there are per juice bottle. With the way things are presently there’s really no way of knowing whether the juice you’re buying is worth the $ 9 or whether you’re getting the same quality (i.e. high in sugar, low in actual vegetables) as the $ 5 green juices from Prêt or Suja or whatnot. It would be really helpful to know what the drinks *actually* contain, what percentage is vegetable vs. apple juice, etc. One time I asked about nutritional content and the woman working at the counter was pretty brusque and brushed me off as if I was insulting the healthiness of the brand with my question. The other time, the man working there said, «I don’t know, but we get that question a lot.» Given that the question’s come up a lot, I hope they do something soon! Until then, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

I’m from New York and always make an effort to stop by JRINK on my DC work trips to pick up some much needed fresh, cold pressed juice. The selection at JRINK is great, my favorites are the Fuel Me Up green juices and the Black Magic, which is activated charcoal, aloe, and fruit. Super unique! I have not seen that in New York before despite the more saturated juice market.
In store, they also have shooters (small doses on concentrated ginger extract, for example) and some snack selection. My only minor complaint would be the lack of nutrition labels, which would be helpful towards tracking how much sugar, etc you may be consuming with these juices.

Tucked inside SculptDC, this location is pretty convenient to the Metro and the fun times around the Verizon Center area. There is 1 staff member and a couple of refrigerators at this pick up your juice joint. There’s not really anywhere to sit, so it is a grab and go kind of place. Trying to enjoy your Jrink is tough unless you plan to purchase for later and enjoy later… Or you are so jonesing for juice that you inhale your beverage before someone can ask you what you are jrinking… Luckily, even if you forget after jrinking like you’ve never jrunk before, the bottle reminds you of the jrink and the ingredients that were so delicious.
Depending on mood, there is a beverage for you. Some days a coffee with raw Brazil nut milk is ideal, but other days, it’s all about the nut milks or green blends or maybe just some spiced up lemonade. All the same, I like the convenience of this location. No frills.

As a cold pressed juice enthusiast, I was really excited to try this place out. They have multiple locations in DC and I believe this is one of the smaller ones.
I ordered a Fuel Me Up III, which I drank on an empty stomach (for maximum absorption!), and while I would rate it a ⁴⁄₅ for ingredients (this is a hardcore green juice — no fruits for water, just cucumber), I’d rate it a 1 for taste. But then again, I was looking for something healthy, not something that tasted good. The price came down to over $ 9 for a $ 480ml serving, which was steep… obviously. I recently had similar green juice for $ 7 (admittedly, in Boston, not DC) so it felt like a lot to pay.
I was really happy with the selection of juices at Jrink. They have all the essentials, including a variety of green juices, beet juices, carrot juices, and some more novel ones like a charcoal water-​based juice.
One thing that disappointed/​kind of irked me was how they advertised that the juices were made daily, but when I asked a store clerk whether all the juices were made today she said no, and that the newest ones were «towards the back» (of the refrigerator). HINT (for all those hardcore juicers who care about freshness as much as I do!). Another thing I would like to see is for there to be some organic juices, though I can see why that could be cost prohibitive.
So as much as I liked Jrink, I’m not sure I’ll come back regularly. Maybe once in awhile. At Whole Foods, you can get comparable juices which, while not made in store, are organic, cold pressed, high pressure processed and cheaper. I’ll probably mix it up!

I wanted to like this juice shop but I wasn’t crazy about the combinations. I don’t, typically, buy milks or «mylks» because they’re fairly easy to make with as long as you have a mylk bag. Plus, I’m not a fan of agave. There are safer, more natural sweeteners available. The juice combinations were limited and, somewhat, unoriginal. I’m giving them a star for cleanliness, safety –they use glass not plastic– and good marketing.
