By far, the worse Baja Fresh I’ve ever been too. The one star is only because they carry Coke Zero. Cold food. Cool meat. Cold tortillas. HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!!

I don’t eat out for lunch at places like this but was persuaded by a coworker one day to tag along. I wanted something simple so I opted for the side of fish, and 3oz guacamole, and bottled water. The side of fish is on Baja Fresh’s menu, yet they acted like they had no idea what it was. It was put on the bill as $ 3.99 service charge. They handed me my order with chips and guac. I had already told them I didn’t want the chips. «Where is the fish,» I asked. «WHATFISH???» responded the rude as hell food guy. The cashier explained I wanted«some fish». He opened a guacamole container and put in about 1.5oz of fish. «I also had a bottle of water.» He demanded to see my receipt, huffed furiously and then got a water out of the fridge and slammed it on the counter in front of me. For $ 4, I received about the same amount of fish as the size of ONE chicken strip. At that point the cashier was arguing with the next customer in a heated voice about the charge for the .99 cent guacamole special. It was then I knew that I was going to have to eat this crap food and I didn’t feel like raising my blood pressure to face off against some minimum wage blowhard who hates their life. I wouldn’t feed this slop to my dog. Baja Fresh should revoke this franchise.

This place should be called just Baja. First, because it’s not fresh. Secondly, it’s the sound of the owner laughing all the way to the bank. The merits of Baja Fresh come from the ability to get fresh, somewhat healthy Tex-Mex. This store delivers none of that experience. It’s still better than anything at Taco Bell, but the food is very Taco Bell-ish. This is Baja Fresh in name only. I would just go elsewhere.

I tried this Baja Fresh twice thinking that the second time would be better. Both times the portions were less than any other Baja Fresh and the food was not fresh at all. On the second time I ordered a steak and shrimp bowl only to find out later there was no shrimp I called the person who answered the phone was rude and hung up on without trying to resolve the issue. Probably won’t be open for long at this location the food is super dry and the service is bad. Won’t be back there.

My boyfriend and I live in the Virgin Islands where we are limited to the types of food we can eat and the amounts of restaurants available. We were extremely excited to spend a week in the states hanging out and eating at our favorite places. We love baja fresh and we both were craving it… then we found this place. We each got the baja mexicano burrito one with chicken one with shrimp and chips with guacamole. The best thing about this meal was the guacamole everything else was horrible! It totally killed our craving. The tortilla chips tasted like dough and were extremely oily and didnt even resemble the real thing. The burritos were basically the tortilla with rice and beans… the menu read that other ingredients were included but they weren’t in ours. The shrimp they gave us were these tiny little things that you could barely tell were a shrimp and they tasted horrible i believe they were over cooked. It was beyond awful, no flavor to it, and definitely not what we were expecting. Word of advice: stay away from this baja fresh and find another one or go down the road to chipotle!

THEWORST!!! I love good(even mediocre) tex-mex, but this was simply inedible. With two people in front of me, it took over 15 minutes to get my burrito. This was itself unexpected, as all of the ingredients were visibly precooked and covered in foil in the hot box(The opposite of what you’d expect at a place with the word«fresh» in its name). My burrito sat on the counter untouched for several minutes until I spoke up and asked for it. The foil was not completely sealed, and the burrito’s contents were spilling out. I had to ask for extra foil so it would stay together until I got to my office. when i unwrapped it, it was torn open at one end due to poor rolling technique with a dry tortilla. It was a giant tube of dry, flavorless rice and beans with bits of beef-jerky-like steak that the drop of guacamole, wilted lettuce, and tomatoes couldn’t rehydrate. I simply could not eat it. Subpar would be a compliment. I’d appreciate it if they at least tried for mediocre.

This place has no posted prices and charges you an additional service fee of $.99 regardless of whether you pay cash or credit. I asked the employees why to both of these issues and they replied that they didn’t know. On a separate note, the food was terrible.

It’s not great. It’s not terrible. It’s just Baja Fresh. If you’re looking for gourmet Mexican on your lunch break… don’t come here. If you want a cheap quesadilla and you don’t want to wait in line at chipotle; this is your spot.

First time here believe it or not… WTH was I even thinking!!! This place is extremely close to work and I probably would have never even noticed it if I weren’t completely awake and looking to the right when I passed it this morning! It is located in a larger building called One Judiciary Square along with a Canyon Burger and an Express version of Pizzeria Uno’s.
Short on time I just grabbed a plain and simple burrito with Carnitas, grilled bell peppers, jack & cheddar cheeses, «Baja rice», sour cream and a flour tortilla… You can choose from a selection of mild to spicy sauces… Ok…
Sometimes I think that I should not be allowed to see what is going on in an open kitchen… On that note… From the tortilla to the center was just a meh.(Who made that word up anyways?) The standard tortilla was topped with the blend of Jack & cheddar cheeses, folded in quarters and wrapped with parchment paper. Now at Chipotle a large tortilla press is used to heat the tortilla and then the toppings are added later. Baja decided to place the wrapped tortilla in the press and because of the plastic insulation, steam the tortilla! Now if you have ever been out really late and stopped at your neighborhood 7 – 11 for a(tasty only after 4 am) burrito, you may remember biting into a gummy mess. Any moisture captured within the paper left globs of discolored, soggy tortilla.
The grilled vegetables were sweet and flavorful but not«grilled». and the pork was over cooked but moist… If that makes sense. It tasted as if it were braised to the point that the meat was going to disintegrate. Kinda gummy… Oh! Did I say that they«dispense» the sour cream from a family sized tooth paste dispenser!!! Dirt cheap but spend a few more $$ and go to Chipotle!

Disappointing I was so happy to learn that a Baja Fresh opened up just around the corner from the office. I was not very happy after I ate there. It’s a mini-Baja Fresh. It’s in a small food court, and it doesn’t have the same very extensive menu that you’d find at other locations, but it has some very mouth-watering items. But if you go, go during the peak times. I hate crowds so I went after 2:00 when all the government workers are back at their workstations. The problem is that at this place they cook all the food way ahead of time so the ingredients for my burrito had been sitting there for literally hours before they served it to me. It made for a somewhat turbulent afternoon if I’m not being too subtle. So I don’t want you to write off this place entirely just because of my review, but if you get a hankering for some delicious Baja Fresh, for Pete’s sake go at 11:30!!!

Si, es baja pero no es fresca. Its wayyyyyyy below standards but isn’t fresh!!! I love fast casual tex mex but this new express location is truly disappointing. They don’t have most of their other offering such as nachos or even shrimp. To make matters worse, the salsa bar that normally attracts me was non-existent and replaced with nasty non-spicy sauces in containers.
