Decent menu, food is delicious but over priced. but above all probably the most unfriendy, worst customer service. Girl at the cashier looks at you she is about to beat you up with a stick lol. No hello, welcome or thank you. never coming back. better order for delivery.

My work ordered Café Tuotu for lunch today. I should make it clear that I would never have given this place a chance under any other circumstances. Turns out I have pretty good instincts… I ordered the Roast Beef Panini, and I gave up halfway through. The meat was rubbery and it felt like I was chewing a slice of fat. I couldn’t actually take bites, like you would on a normal sandwich, so I was forced to saw at it with a knife. There was a difficult-to-identify clearish-whitish substance on the sandwich too, which may have been the brie(which I don’t really remember actually seeing), but also could have been congealed mayo, which was slathered all over the inside and outside of the sandwich. Oh yeah, and it was too small. The cookie was dried out and crumbly. The brownie was decent. Will decline next time my work offers to feed me this garbage, and just grab something on my own dime.

Nice. Clean. Delicious. Tried they Fontina a la Turca: with sujouk, provolone, and tomato. Great staff. Great service. Great location. They have also a nice variety of veggie and fruit salads. Small café. Great food.

This place is a trendy café, very small. I had the Breakfast at Tiffany’s and was pleasantly surprised. I don’t know what they do but it was GOOD. The herbs really brought out the taste of the tomatoes and the tomatoes were an excellent complement to the eggs. Really simple wrap but it was quality. I’d go back and try other things; seems like fresh vegetables and ingredients put well together.

Not a bad little sandwich shop. Sandwiches are made pretty quick and are pretty tasty. Pretty close to a great cup cake shop too. So glad we came to Georgetown and had a little bit of time to enjoy a few shops in the area.

Surprisingly good! The Paninis are delicious and super crunchy. Great salads too. And so cheap! Only 8 dollars for a delicious chicken panini with caramelized onions, red peppers and sundries tomatoes.

I got the Parisienne sandwich. I wish I had added honey. It would’ve paired extremely well with the Brie.

Came across this small café on our weekly after-work runs from Virginia. It is a very small café, hence«Express» in its name, with about 4 small tables that seats 2 each and a bar counter that overlooks the street. I have yet to visit the non-express café so I do not know if the menus are the same; I would assume so. I tried the special that day – which was a chicken wrap with avocado, lettuce, and a tomato pesto. It also came with your choice of a side salad and I chose the mango salad that was composed of arugula, mango, cranberries, goat and Parmesan cheese. I have to say that I was not very hungry walking into the café but I walked out without carrying anything to go. I couldn’t help myself but devour my whole meal because it was that delicious! The wrap and salad tasted fresh and full of flavor. I would definitely come back!

Where do I start? Hmmmmm I’ve visited this place quite a few times however I always order the same thing(the Mino’s panini), I could never force myself away from all of its goodness, until today! I tried the Palermo Panini. My Goodness! Soo yummy! I’m convinced this place can serve nothing but pure tastiness! Ingredients are fresh! I’ve also tried one of the salads and they are different than the normal(for me) but yet refreshing! I’ll be going back tomorrow for lunch! The only downside is that I get addicted to everything I try, so it’s hard for me to try new things because I just keep craving what I got the time before! I’m so glad I took a leap of faith today, hopefully I will tomorrow!

Fast, easy, and reasonably priced lunch option in Georgetown. Very small on the inside, so it can get a little crowded and uncomfortable when ordering/waiting for your meal. Seems to be family owned and operated, and the staff is always efficient and friendly enough. I’ve only tried their wraps – I usually get the turkey pesto wrap, and it is filled to the brim with spinach, but they usually skimp on the pesto, leaving it a little flavorless. I wouldn’t go here on the weekends or bring friends here by any means, but it is a great lunch option for those working in the Georgetown area and happens to be a couple blocks from my office.

While exploring M street, we stopped in for a quick, fresh lunch. It lived up to our expectations! There’s a huge menu with tons of choices, and we ordered the chicken pesto wrap(grilled chicken, pesto, spinach, fresh mozzarella), strawberry side salad with a balsamic vinaigrette, and a tomato soup. Prices are fair and food is fresh and has a good homemade taste. I love that their soup is made from scratch and not from a can or previously frozen. Everything was fresh and delicious, and I loved the vinaigrette that came with the salad. Well seasoned and well sized as well for a balanced lunch. I also really liked that they had different sizes for salads and soups! Sweet employees, overall good experience.

The paninis here are superb. Fresh ingredients and high quality taste. Great for a quick bite in Georgetown and one of the few places to get a medium-sized meal around here

Came to Café Tu-o-Tu today for a late lunch. The menu was more extensive than I expected… Lots of choices of sandwiches and salads. Decided to order a combo pear and Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken. It was absolutely delicious!!! Very fresh! The service was great as well

This is my favorite $ 10 lunch in Georgetown. The salads are fresh, delicious, and nicely served(the artichoke-spinach is my favorite, especially if you add avocado), and the wraps are tasty as well(try the salmon). Staff are really friendly. Lots of sunlight, and good wi-fi.

Yum. This place was empty and I was shocked — because the food is delicious. I had the strawberry salad and Mozzarella, Pesto, Tomato and Avocado special that I am still dreaming about. Service was great — staff were super friendly and made suggestions since it was my first time. Will definitely be back and you should go too.

After shopping around Georgetown I stopped into Café Tu-O-Tu for some lunch on a Saturday. The staff was nice and attentive and suggested I try the soup of the day, which was a creamy, delicious lentil soup. I ordered a half of a panini and a cup of soup. I saw in the back of the café in an atrium-like setting. There was casual, comfortable seating in the back with a cool décor. I enjoyed my panini the lentil soup in a relaxing environment. I order from this place frequently and recommend the Salmon-Avacodo salad for a healthy lunch.

Breakfast served all day. Georgetown is such a peculiar part of town. M Street is often the first thing that comes to mind when one mentions Georgetown, but Wisconsin Avenue is not. And this café, situated on the west end of Georgetown’s main strip, neighbored by venues like West Elm, Pie Sisters, and Georgetown Running Company, is all but neglected by the throngs of consumers who visit Georgetown daily. Which is a freaking shame. Café Tu-O-Tu get so many things right it’s painful. This European-style café, nestled in Georgetown, is honestly an oasis of bliss in an otherwise highly commercialized and bustling DC neighborhood. It’s pannis and sandwiches are prepared in such a manner that the no nonsense meals make you wonder why so many otherwise more elegant hotels and restaurant struggle to make fantastic dishes appear to be so simple. Café Tu-O-Tu Express’ sister restaurant, Café Tu-O-Tu, is located on the Eastern most side of what’s considered Georgetown’s M Street: together they bookend the neighborhood. As they should.
