Messed up my order, ended up with a spinach wrap for breakfast instead of steak, so yeah, basically ruined my week right there.

I have seen a couple Cosi locations all over the DC area, so I was overdue to see what this place is about. I went to lunch at this location with my BF(he frequents this establishment). I liked the ample seating, especially the patio seating as the weather is warming up :). The service was also friendly and prompt. The menu is diverse with many great items for every palette. I ordered the Shanghai Chicken salad(served with wheat or white bread), which they use fresh ingredients and mix the salad in front of you. Although the ingredients are stated in the menu, they allow you to customize your meal based off your personal preference. I asked for them to put less Ginger Soy dressing(as I am weight watcher) and I was not disappointed. Although I requested a smaller serving, the flavor was incredible. A little went a long way. I also had the Mojito Lemonade which was very tasty. It was not too sweet and the mint complemented the beverage well. My BF ordered the Steakhouse Gorgonzola Melt which was delicious with fresh bread. The only downside was the beef medallions were too thick for the sandwich. Every time he took a bite, the entire medallion came out making it a bit awkward to eat. Otherwise everything was amazing. I look forward to trying out other items on their menu.

Tomatoe basil soup was delicious! Their bread was a little hard but good. Their Cesar chicken salad is also great with the coffee. I wish I would of bought some to go :(.

We were going to a nearby diner for breakfast but it had a long wait and it was raining so we started walking. I’ve never visited Cosi for breakfast before but I usually like their food. The place was empty when we came in and the staff was quick and friendly. They were helpful in ordering and the food arrived very fast after we got our drinks. We had coffee and tea which were both fine. We also have the squagle club sandwich. The everything bagel was tasty but the fillings didn’t have much flavor. Some salt and pepper on the scrambled egg mix would have added a lot. Over this was a good quick stop before a morning if museums but wasn’t fantastic.

Keep your expectations low and you might be disappointed, raise them at all and they’ll be totally crushed. Cosi used to be a tasty yet expensive option, now they kept the prices but the quality is pretty awful overall. The line system is beyond confusing, nobody is really sure where to stand to order or receive the various food items at the different stations. This somehow overlaps with the line to pay, creating an almost impossibly confusing situation for everyone. The food is okay to bad depending what you order. The sandwiches are okay unless the bread is stale, which somehow happens even though they seem to bake it fresh. The chicken(weird processed fast food chicken strips) is awful here though so avoid it at all costs whether it’s in sandwiches or salads. Some of the bowls are okay assuming you avoid the chicken. They’re overpriced and below average here, too bad since it used to be a pretty decent, if expensive lunch place.

Food is good. But they put orders in out of order and people who ordered after us got their food way before us and we were left waiting for a very long time and then they got the order wrong.

Food tastes fresh. Says they prepare soups from scratch. I see them rolling out bread. Nice variety of options and combinations: sandwich, pizza, soup. I really enjoyed the tomato soup, it was balanced well. Paired chicken avocado sandwich which was also delicious and fresh. Also got a half margarita pizza. Nice atmosphere; variety of seating options throughout.

Food is decent but service wasn’t good because the servers and cashiers couldn’t speak much English. I ordered two sandwiches but the sandwich maker made three for me so I ended up having to pay for three sandwiches.

I ordered a catered lunch from here for my company. They were able to take my order quickly and accurately. Since we are tqx exemp, it was easy to send over our certificate and have the tax removed. The delivery peron arrived quickly an was friendly. He didnt offer to set up but that was ok. We enjoyed a wonderful signature salad with cranberries and feta and delicious sandwiches. If you are wondering one sandwich is actually cut in half so that if you order 10 sandwiches, you’ll actually get 20 halves. The size is generous and I find that many in my group are satisfied with half a sandwich, rather than a whole.

Food good — we had pepperoni and bbq chicken pizzas, the signature salad and tandoori salad, kids pepperoni pizza and pbj. Ordering was an absolute clusterf*k, order salad one place, get back in line and order pizzas in another. Meanwhile where did salads end up? The get in another line to pay, go back to wait for pizzas. Lines for each part of your order. Why?!? 1000 better ways to do this and at lunchtime in downtown DC you feel like the government were likely the ones to design this.

We wandered in on a whim for lunch and were quickly overwhelmed by the fast paced cashiers and overflowing tables. After gaining our composure, we placed our order(which totaled roughly $ 40 for 3 adults eating with 2 drinks). Then the challenge became finding a seat and that task lasted for about 25 mins until we found a family preparing to leave. We ordered 2 flat breads(1 marguerite chicken and 1 a spinach with chicken) and a shredded chicken bowl. Everything was pleasantly fresh and although the portion looked huge at first glance all meals were devoured. Raspberry Mimosa lemonades were very refreshing and accompanied the meals well. I gave 4⁄5 stars for the sheer chaos that occurs when you walk in, the pushy impatient cashiers, and the 35 minute wait for food. Knowing what I know now, I’ll very likely dine here again since I’m a sucker for fresh bread.

Great atmosphere but it was very busy so customer service wasn’t great(to be expected). My biggest complaint was actually the food portion. I paid seven bucks for a half sandwich that was tasty, yet tiny! It was a square, not filled with much and where the bread connected it took up a fourth of the sandwich. Naturally the side chips were a small bag that contained hardly any chips. My friend got a regular size pepperoni pizza, and it had plenty to go around! Large portion size, and very delicious. Another got a salad which looked tasty and again had much more food than I did. This place is good, depending on the portion size of what you get in my opinion. I do not recommend sandwiches but salads and pizza are great.

i’m always a fan of coffee shops that have fun new drinks to try, so i was quite excited by cosi’s menu. i tried a honey vanilla white chocolate mocha. it was tasty, but i enjoyed it more for the novelty of it than the actual drink. i didn’t try any of the salads or sandwiches, but all of the food looked really good and i would definitely be up for coming back for lunch. i didn’t really find it to be the type of place you’d stay and hang out at — my friends and i took our coffee and sat at a bus stop bench, if that says anything. overall, i’d say it’s definitely worth trying!

Mediterranean sandwich was soggy with condiments. Pizza is okay. Kids menu does not have a juice option! Just milk or soda. Restaurant is busy and the line is confusing. Friendliness was not the cashier’s strong point.

This is the WORST Cosi I have ever been to. Note to management: the entire team who was working on Sunday afternoon of June 10, 2015 deserves to be fired immediately. 1) Guy serving food and taking orders: he should literally do ANYTHING but serve food. He was outright rude, dropped food on the floor, and took FOREVER to prepare chicken bowls. Seriously. My parents asked him questions about what goes into certain meals, and he just stared at them blankly. What the hell. I literally have never met a worse food server in my life. 2) Dark haired woman EATINGBEHINDTHECOUNTER. By no means is it EVER appropriate to eat while you are serving food to people. This is probably why she took the big piece of flatbread that she was gnawing on and went into the kitchen with her other female coworker. 3) Other female coworker: My boyfriend and I get to the register(where my parents had paid literally 5 minutes before), and there is nobody there to accept our money. So we stand there for like a minute, and NOBODY comes to allow us to pay. I almost wanted to sit down and eat without paying because the staff was just not even present. I honestly don’t think anyone would have stopped us. Honest boyfriend then went and told they horrible guy who was serving food and taking orders to get one of his useless coworkers to accept our money for goods and services. Look, I understand that the three of these employees work a dead end job, but that is no excuse for disrespecting people who just wanted to eat their lunch. They should all be fired. Seriously. They’re probably just costing Cosi money and business.

They didn’t know they had the ingredients for my order until after I’d paid, and then fumbled around forever trying to figure out how to refund me. If you have enough time to wait around for them to figure out how to do their jobs, you have enough time to go to a real restaurant — or the Qdoba across the street.

I realized cosi is a chain around here. It has salads and sandwiches. I like that they are conveniently located near the the mall. :) I got the tandoori chicken salad, it was satisfying and tasty! It was about a little under $ 8. I think the flavors were decent, not overwhelming but not amazing. I really do like the bread that comes with it though. It was warm and tasty! I couldn’t finish it though. Overall, I would recommend this place if you need some grub and you wanted a salad near the mall. :)

The prices are just a tad more than you might expect but the food is still very satisfying. The staff is very kind and accommodating and efficient despite having quite a crowd this past labor day weekend. I had a taste of the Tuscan chicken sandwich which has a great pesto flavor if that’s what you like but my favorite would be the Tandoori chicken. The latter has a lot of peppers but the flavor blends rather well with the vinaigrette.
