It’s by the office, and pretty much the same as any generic café/sandwich place. They are busy at peak times and dead at others, so I try to come mid morning for a muffin and hot tea which holds me over for a late lunch.

Visiting DC and came across this place. Service was great although they were not busy. Confusing to order for a person that does not know the menu because there are separate lines for different menu items. What happens if you change your mind? Food was delicious and would go back! Had sandwiches all the way around and everyone in our party was satisfied.

This was my first time hearing of this chain, much less eating at one. For some reason, it was hotter in the restaurant than it was outside. Thank goodness the seating area upstairs was comfortable. The staff didn’t go above and beyond, but they weren’t rude either. I had to wait a little while before being serviced. My Cobb salad turned out good and the side of fresh, warm pita bread was a nice touch. The mojito lemonade left much to be desired, though. This would not be at the top of my list of places to eat on a regular basis, but I trust if I ate there again, I’d have an equally good dining experience.

Mmm, the Cosi at Farragut North truly lives up to its name on a cold day. The food was not only comforting and cozy but it was delicious. I ordered a New England clam chowder soup(the soup of the day) with a signature flat bread and loved my food. It was the perfect thing to eat on a cold day. The soup was definitely filling and I saved my flatbread for later. Hot or cold, the flatbread is delicious. I highly recommend Cosi. I’ve never had a bad experience here. When the weather is warmer, their smoothies are fantastic.

decided to give this cosi another«whirl»(aka try) and despite my last visit, the personnel’s customer service has much improved. there are lines with clear signs above each queue as to where you need to be when ordering food and paying for it. even the cashier gave me a winning smile; ergo, the star-status went up. it does help that the food was, well, very ‘cosi’ when it comes to franchise = predictable. had a quick lunch here today between meetings(the ‘taste two’ deal) of ½ the tuna melt(on wheat flatbread), a regular cup of soup(tomato basil) and bag of chips. the soup was piping-hot and not too salty(which tends to happen at these kinds of establishments). by the time i was done with the soup, i was nearly full and only attacked half of the ½ tuna melt, that had shredded carrots in it which i wasn’t too fond of. i stashed the bag of chips in oversized purse and headed out for my next meeting. there’s lot of seating, the ingredients tasted fresh, and NOW, the people behind the counters seem human. it’s an ideal place to catch a bite to eat inside and out(on a bench/grass in the park across the street)

The worst Cosi experience I’ve ever had. With only 3 people to wait on the workers were confused, yelling, and inaccurately representing what they had or didn’t have. Items were not stocked and customer service was lacking. The wait time, I won’t even get into that. And after all of that, my omelette croissant was burnt.

The staff who work at this Cosi in the morning are so great. They are friendly and fast and totally competent. If there are any misunderstandings you can bet they are your fault and you need more coffee. They are really on it! Especially Margarita. Thanks ladies(and gent)!

TBM is my favorite sandwich ever. Also love the Signature Salad, and cran-orange Squagle. Wish they would sell side portions separately, though(full-sized TBM plus Sig. side salad is perfect amount for me, but they say they can’t sell sides without them being part of a Duo meal — I hope they change this).

I feel the need to acknowledge that this Cosi has recently gotten significantly faster/better. Usually the waiting time here, even if you are the only person in the whole restaurant, is comically long. But in the past couple months I have noticed significant improvement. At first I chalked it up to a fluke — OK, they got lucky a couple times in a row — but it has actually been consistently fast. The other day I performed the ultimate test — I went to this Cosi WITHOUT a magazine. I always must bring my magazine here or a sudoku for some kind of entertainment during the ridiculously long wait. Miracle of miracles, I didn’t even miss it. I’m really pleased that this Cosi has finally gotten its act together a little bit, and I hope they can keep it up through the winter when I am there the most. Woohoo!

Nice sandwich and salad combo with unusual types such as ham and Brie, buffalo chicken with bleu cheese. Also easy fast breakfasts.

I love Cosi, but this location is just so-so. However, it’s 1 block from my apartment so I still manage to give them quite a bit of business. My biggest complaint is that this location, like all Cosi’s, advertises the free Wifi, but there is not one outlet in the entire seating area. My darling MacBook Pro doesn’t hold a charge without a power cord after 3 faithful years of use, so I definitely need to be able to plug it in! BUT, if you have not had a Cosi egg, ham and cheese breakfast sandwich on their special square bagels, you’re missing out. Truly awesome!

Okay, so if you want to get lunch in DC it’s expected you’ll have to pay too much for it. When it comes to Cosi though, if I wanted $ 10 cardboard and plastic meat, I’m sure one of the hobo’s in the park could provide me with a tastier treat. The sandwiches are horrible. I finally gave up trying to find one I like. The coffee is just meh, and usually tastes burnt. The salads are okay, but again, way overpriced and generally have too much going on. The only redeeming thing I have discovered about Cosi is 1, their white chocolate cookies, and 2, while the staff at the location deserves a good swift kick in gear, the manger is super nice. She, and the fact that I work so close by, are the only reasons I return.

Only slightly more expensive than Subway or Quinos, but with top-notch delicious sandwiches(haven’t tried the soups or salads yet) I had a turkey and brie with spicy honey mustard– so tasty that all I could think of during my meal were beautiful landscape paintings of English countrysides below blue firmaments and bright yellow suns. (One star reserved because I haven’t tried many other of their offerings.)

AWESOME! I ate here twice in two days! Their bread is amazing! LOVE the T, M, B sandwich with a side of their lobster/butternut squash soup! PERFECT for a cold day in the city. Service was slow but the food was well worth the wait. I also appreciated the outdoor seating since I had my dog with me both times! :) Loves it!

Like other Cosis, the usual offerings. Food quality is ok, the service is not very good. There are some things I wouldn’t eat. I usually stick with the salads or a smoothie. I would give one star(really the service is poor at best usually) but this is sometimes my only near work option(even though it’s slow and I probably do have time to cross the street). Better off going to the Au Bön Pain one block down, if you’re looking for a similar price point. They are on the slow side sometimes, but usually friendlier. The food is better.

Meh indeed. This became my local Cosi after our office moved. Tried my usual salad here — just wasn’t right, time after time. OK. Tried my usual sandwich here — bread not warm, thin, crusty, and never enough meat. So, that killed the chances of coming here as a regular lunch option. Besides the shortcomings of the food, the design of the place in general leaves a lot to be desired. My last Cosi had a defined line for each soup/salad/sandwich. This Cosi has a kinda defined line for the salads, but it’s pretty much wide open on the soup/sandwich front. Come during rush times and there’s always a crowd around the counter, but you might have a hard time knowing who has/has not ordered. Plus, I got the impression it was always a race to take orders/make sandwiches. While I appreciate the desire to get me in and out quick, I’d be happier if I got my salad/sandwich done correctly — even if it takes just a little extra time.

The customer service at this Cosi is terrible. I stopped in there basically because I was starving after shopping at the Macy’s across the street. I ordered a sandwich, the Indian flavored one, and on the menu it said it had«roasted red peppers»(really, sounds great!) and they came out just as sliced, wet, crunchy regular red peppers. Plus, the sauce overpowered the rest of the ingredients anyway. But back to the service. So, when you order a sandwich, you get«Cosi chips» which are basically Lays potato chips repacked to look trendy. I didn’t see the chips anywhere, so when I paid $ 7.50 for my tiny sandwich, I asked where the chips were — gotta get what you pay for! — and the clerk said«They’re down there…» I looked. And looked some more. Finally, I went up to the girl that made the sandwich and asked where the chips were. Turns out, they needed to refill the basket with more bags from the back. So she snarls at her boss who tells her to get them and goes to the back. She comes out with a big bin, walks right pass me, doesn’t stop to let me grab one and puts it on the counter. I get up, grab the chips, throw the rest of the sandwich away and leave.

Cosi, and this Cosi, in particular, is not my friend. Their sandwiches, salads, baked goods and square bagels are all perfectly fine, but are terribly overpriced. After a couple of abysmal customer service episodes here, the last of which involved being shorted a dozen bagels after ordering and paying for two dozen, which for some reason took three people and twenty-five minutes to ring up, I vowed never to return. It gets two stars only because the food is decent.
