Yusuf is the BOMB. I always leave feeling GORGEOUS. My hair color is so natural and when he says «a trim» that is exactly what I get. He blow dries my hair and it looks amazing the next day too! I am trying to grow my hair out and he is super respectful of my wishes. He is a gentleman. They serve coffee, tea or wine and the sweet lady who shampoos hair gives a lovely scalp massage. The pedicurist is wonderful too. I feel awful that I cannot recall her name and I have tried so hard. She gives a terrific massage and shapes my nails perfectly. Both of these wonderful people are booked solid so be sure to call for an appointment approx. a week in advance. I love the online booking feature too! Super convenient.

Yusuf was great. Knows what he is doing! Did an awesome mens cut and helped me decided what I wanted to do with my hair too. I will be doing my Keratin with him very soon.

My first experience her was perfect, Yusuf is the best hair stylist ever. He took his time for heard all I want. I just I love my new hair cut. And I will go for more.

Yusuf is fantastic — I believe he is the best kept secret in DC. I have been going to Yusef for 6 years. Before finding Yusef, I tried a couple of salons in the DC area, including an Aveda Salon, ILO Salon in Georgetown, etc., and Yusef’s cuts beat all of them. He takes so much with the hair cut (texturizes, layers, etc.) — my hair has so much body afterwards; and the hair coloring is awesome. I am very particular about my hair and always leave very happy. I highly, highly recomend Yusef — you willl not be disappointed!

I highly recommend Yusuf for highlights/​haircut. I was terrified to find a new stylist when I moved to DC almost two years ago — the same friend had done my hair ever since I started coloring it. Yusuf was patient with my requests and listened to exactly what I wanted. I am really happy with my hair color! I recently followed Yusuf to his new salon from Guven. The new location is easy to get to and convenient. Parking is also a lot easier than it was at the old place. I highly recommend! My boyfriend also sees Yash for haircuts and is really happy.

Yusuf is amazing. I first started seeing him for color and cut a couple of years ago, when he was at Guven salon, and I followed him over when DCity opened because I trust him completely. It’s odd – I was never super picky about my hair, but ever since he first highlighted and cut mine, now I’m not comfortable going anywhere else. He gets the color perfectly every time – not too light, perfectly placed natural looking highlights. He’s also so friendly, and takes time to ask not only what you want or like, but WHY, which I think is important. And when he dries my hair, it’s the perfect blowout for my thin, no-​volume locks. Wish I could recreate it at home! The new DCity salon is also airy and bright, and they now have massage chairs at the washing station, which was a nice surprise. All in all, highly recommend!

Master Yusuf now works in DCity salon. The staff is friendly and location is good. Yusuf is great as always! He creates a great haircut, highlights and makes your mood perfect! Highly recommending him. He is second to none!

Yusuf is amazing! I started going to him a little over a year ago! I followed him from Guven Salon in Glover Park to DCity Salon where he is now! He highlights my hair and pays great attention to detail and also makes the color look very natural! Exactly what I want! He also gives a great hair cut and an even better blow out! I will only go to him now! I have referred many friends to him and everyone loves him!

5 stars for Yusuf Aslan. I’ve seen Yusuf for a year now — and I live in Seattle. That’s saying a lot about my dedication to see him.

I’ve seen him 3 times now, I’ve referred 5 friends to see him, and 5 friends have been thrilled with their haircuts. I still walk out every time feeling like a Herbal Essences commercial and the way he styles my hair is always low-​maintenance and healthy. Also, if you have a special event — he does an amazing, voluminous blowout that will leave your hair bouncing around.
Tip: $ 70 for a women’s haircut, tips can be put on your credit card, and you can book online appointments which is great. There is street parking around the salon.

Scheduled an appointment to get my hair dyed after walking past this place a couple times. I am pretty cautious when getting my hair done as I am usually left disappointed or with damaged hair.
But DCity Salon is a super great place right from when you walk in! The receptionist was extremely friendly and I didn’t have to wait for the very talented Yusuf to walk me over.
Yusuf was fantastic and gave me exactly what I wanted! He sat down and we talked about which colors would look best and then he got to work! I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy after getting my hair done. And for the price? This place is a definite 5 stars. Planning on coming back for a keratin treatment soon!

I have been going to Yusuf for haircuts ever since I moved to DC a year and a half ago and he does a fantastic job! I have long, fine hair that he cuts and styles beautifully every time. His new salon, DCity Salon, is just about a mile up from where he was before and still offers great service and online booking.

I have been using Yusif for about 2 years now. I used to go to him when he was at Guven salon down the street. When he recently moved I followed him here to DCity Salon. I always used to use a regular barber but since I’ve switched to Yusif I couldn’t be happier. I strongly recommend coming to see Yusif at his new location at DCity salon.

I have been going to Yusuf for over 4 years and followed him to the new DCity Salon. He is patient and meticulous with my highlights and cuts and the only person I trust with my hair. The cut is always great and highlights are perfect. He does the best blowouts too. I’ve sent a number of my friends to him. I highly recommend!
