Great salon. The owner is very kind and does a great job. Really cheap for DC, as well! Highly recommended.

This place is fine. Not the best but certainly not the worst. Personally, I get my hair cut by the owner and as long as you are very clear with what you want you won’t get a hack job. The price is very reasonable too. 14 for a mens cut and if you are nice that’ll include straight edge to the back of the neck and shampoo rinse. As an fyi they do nails too. My wife went and they did a terrible job. They were also rude and wouldn’t repair/reduce. Just something to consider.

I went back asked for a half inch trim and got about 5 inches lopped off. Haven’t been back since

I decided to try this place out during the Snowpacalypse as it was open and close to my house. As a Marine officer, I get my hair cut nearly weekly and it’s tough to find a reasonable barber that gives a decent military cut. This wasn’t it. I asked for a military medium regulation haircut, fade to skin around the ears and in back. I got a high and tight to the top of my head that made me look like I was trying to join the Old Guard that guards the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I half expected it, so I didn’t grouse. This may be a decent place if you’re looking for a little more styling, but steer clear for crew cuts. I’ve since found a good place for military cuts near the Virginia Square Metro that I plan to make my regular stop(my other Unilocal barber review).
