My go to carry out. I’ve order from here for the past 10 years. It has its ups and downs but this carry out has maintained itself. How many small carry outside can say that? I love their wings with mambo sauce, egg drop soup, steamed shrimp, etc.

Food really bad. I ordered the shredded pork, Kung pao chicken, and general tso. No flavor at all. The Kung pao chicken was made like nothing I’ve ever eaten. Weird. The pork was chucks of tough meat. Very odd.

Unilocal really steered me wrong with this one. I ordered the fabled General Tso’s Chicken and it was pretty bad. GTC is my litmus test for Chinese takeout and this was one of the worst ones I’ve had in DC. I also had wings and hot and sour soup, both were off. One plus, the food came fast… almost too quick. If I’m gonna down a few zillion calories on takeout, it definitely won’t be here.

I love this place! I love the food and they are super quick for delivery. The wings are delicious and the chicken a broccoli is my favorite!

This place is awesome! I’ve tried a few places in the area and this place is always consistent and is now my go-​to Chinese delivery restaurant. I order sesame chicken and egg drop soup and it is consistently fresh and delicious.

Every now and then, I have this fantasy that one of these hole in the wall Chinese restaurants in DC will turn out to be a gem in the rough. Well, this place is all rough and no gem. Word to the wise: you can judge this one by its grungy exterior.
We ordered the Mapo tofu, which was just cut-​up tofu, a little brown sauce, a little spice, and some frozen peas and carrots. The worst I’ve ever had. Broccoli with oyster sauce was more brown sauce, overcooked. We paid extra for fried rice but only got white rice… Hot and sour soup was passable but forgettable. We will not be back.

Decent Chinese food for the price. The delivery guy was slightly rude but whatever, I wanted my food. I’ll give this restaurant another chance in the future.

Really great Chinese take out/​delivery. The kind of place that really cares about the quality of their food and ingredients. Current favorite chinese delivery spot, and I’ve tried many in the NW DC area.

Ordered for a night in on a Friday and was quoted about 30 minutes delivery time. Our order was not that large but we were STARVING. an hour later our driver finally showed up, but oh well I guess thats what you get for DC.
Food was decent for Chinese take out, nothing overly extravagant. We had the wontons, orange chicken, lo mein, and chicken and broccoli. The chicken and broccoli did not have much flavor at all, but I went straight to add hot sauce. Portions were large and prices were reasonable, however we were disappointed with the customer service. The place looks a little sketchy from the photos but they delivered nearby, not sure if I would stop in the store front

Ordered delivery via Seamless. Arrived 30 minutes earlier than estimated. Unfortunately the food was very bland. The hot and sour was cornstarchy and thick without spice or sourness. The ma po tofu (spicy requested) was fairly tasteless and substituted corn and green peas for pork.
Would not order again.

To be completely honest, I was skeptical about tis place… even after reading the reviews. The place looks run down and a bit questionable. DON’T LET THE PHYSICAL APPEARANCE FOOL YOU. If you’re in the mood for good Chinese food (best kind of drunk food) this is the place to be. They have a large menu selection with reasonable prices for a good amount of food. Food took a while to cook but my guess is they cook everything fresh. My spring roll + general tso’s was streaming hot when I received it. Nothing was greasy and everything tasted delicious.

Decided to try because of all the great Unilocal reviews! Chinese is some of our favorite family meals, and we are use to having some great Chinese food coming from Pittsburgh, PA. Ordered the General Tso’s Chicken and Vegetable Egg Rolls although it taste Ok! My son and I were both constipated the next morning… You decide!

Had the sweet and sour shrimp. It was fine. I am thankful to have found delivery options, but was hoping for tastier food. I don’t usually use soy sauce but this time I did because it needed salt. I would try another dish, maybe that is not their best. Other reviews seem happier than mine!

New carry out option for my office mates. A group of us ordered today, a Friday at 11:30 and food arrived in 20 minutes. Everyone was happy, and the food was fresh and delicious.

Fast delivery. Good General Tso Chicken. It’s Chinese Food, though, so manage your health expectations.

I can’t tell if this place is really good or if the Chinese spot in Bloomingdale is so horrible. I live in Bloomingdale and really was craving chinese on today (it’s a snow day). I refused to order from the Chinese spot in my neighborhood. I think it’s called Chinese dragon — it’s horrible. Anyway, I went on seamless and decided to order from here. I have walked past this place a million times and have always thought, «Ew gross, I would never go in there». Moral of the story: don’t judge a book by its cover! I got the General Tso Chicken which was better than any other General Tso I’ve had in DC including Chinatown restaurants. Hope is not lost for DC Chinese food.

I am a native Washingtonian and believe me when I say their food is delicious! The staff is very nice including the delivery guy who is funny if you get to know him. He’s like a neighborhood buddy I look forward to seeing.
I usually get fried chicken wings w/​fries (of course w/​the standard condiments added) and I always ask for them to fry? my chicken hard lol. Nothing wrong with how they fry them, but I’m a sista, the more crunch, the better! Also, their pork w/​broccoli is soo good! Sometimes I’ll take it for lunch the next day and have everyone’s nostrils flaring w/​glee at work lol. The chicken & broccoli w/​black bean sauce is another favorite. I’ve also had the shrimp basket platter, steak and cheese, chicken noodle soup, etc… You won’t be disappointed, trust me.
People who say all carry outs and mumbo sauce taste the same aren’t true foodies and lack deciphering skills. No offense! …Btw, their mumbo sauce def exudes the REAL native DC taste, not some bbq sauce thrown together.
And guess what? I’m entering in this review before I order and I cannot wait! Bön apetit!

was on grubhub. ordered the mixed veggies with fried tofu, pretty standard. pretty good. egg drop soup was also standard. this is a pretty standard hole in the wall. delivery was prompt, and driver was friendly. would order again.

I find that the delivery options in DC are pretty poor, and I am very happy to have found this place! Only a $ 10 minimum, a $ 1 delivery fee, and great combo specials not limited to lunch time ($ 7.75 for meat, fried rice, and an egg roll). It comes very quickly (20 minutes today!) and I think the food is good, though admittedly most cheap Chinese food is the same to me.
Also, if you haven’t used grubhub, you can order it on there and probably find a promo code (I got $ 5 off my first order).

Five stars in it’s own weight class. My family is from HK, my dad a HK chef. The food is good, the lady up front is nice. She made stir fry extra soft for me to bring to a friend in the hospital.
To the guy who rated them down cus he ordered a meatlovers pizza here, that’s on you bro.
You know it’s good when the only poor reviews are absurd — it’s a take out place with no seating in a rough neighborhood, why slam a small business on Unilocal cus climate control at the pickup window wasn’t up to snuff? Lame.
