I am an employee of Georgetown University Hospital and go to Elevation Burger from time to time. I love the option of getting veggie burgers and that their fries are cooked in olive oil. There have been a few occasions where my burger was pink on the inside. The first time it happened, my colleague and I took our burgers back to get burgers that were more done. The second time, we just nuked them in the microwave. The third time I had this experience I just nuked it as well. I did a survey from the web address that was on the ticket and actually received an email from the Director of Operations a short time after sending the email. I was actually surprised that I got a response. The Director offered me to call him so I did. He was the nicest man and apologetic of the experices that I had regarding my complaints of half cooked burgers and long wait times to get my food. He explained to me the process of how their burgers are prepared and that their burgers are meant to be medium rare. The burgers are cooked on a flat bed so they are all cooked at the same temp. I told him that my burgers are not always like that and he stated that if they are not, then that is the mistake. The director also stated that all I have to do is ask to have my burger cooked medium well or well done if that is what I prefer. Also, he stated that moving forward, if there are more that 8 people in line, he will move someone from the back to the front to work the second register to help move people throught he line faster. I let him know that the milkshakes seem to be more liquid than a creamy shake and he told me to call him next time I came to Elevation Burger and he would make sure that I received my burger cooked to my liking and a shake to my specification(thick)…on the house. I think he is a great manager and appreciate the concern he had for me as a customer. I really felt like my opinion mattered as a paying customer. I would go back just on the principle that he cares about his customers and wants them to be happy. The staff there are all really nice, especially the guy that works the register. I don’t know his name, but he is the only one that seems to ever be at the register and it is a pleasure to see him as he is always customer focused, curteous and polite. No worries Elevation Burger… I am here to stay and next time I know to ask for my burger well done! I only wish that there were more sincere managers out their like Mr. Thompson… he deserves an award! I fully suggest to go to Elevation Burger at the Georgetown Hotel and Conference Center. You will get good service and if you think you haven’t, do the survey and you will be acknowledged! I LOVEELEVATIONBURGER! :-)

The elevation burger I had was good, just lacking something more unique. The service was quick though

A pathetic facsimile of the new high quality fast food burger trend, i.e. Shake shack or 5 guys. Every time I order here out of a sheer lack of options I am disappointed. As others have said, the burger is small, expensive and not good. Also it takes forever and you often get the wrong order. Glad I am graduating soon and won’t ever be compelled to even smell this place again.

Sometimes I wonder if people go to this place because they want to avoid the long queue at the subway nearby. I have been here twice. Their burger is small, not so good and overpriced. Their fries are unacceptably oily. If you are in Georgetown and want to get burger, go to good stuff on M st. If you just want something fast in campus, go get a subway or the salad bar right next to it.

Again have to be at the Georgetown hospital to support a friend. This is part of the Hoya Food Court in the Leavy building. They seemed to mange the lunch time orders quite well. I liked the veggie burger, except that the burger was not piping hot, since it is made to order i was there at the end of the ssembly line ready to receive it so it should hav ebeen hot. French fries had a lot of bits and peices of potato from trimmings. The price is right, like any other burger place. If you have to be at the Medstar Georgetown Hospital this is a good choice. Right next to the elevation burger is a Subway. I love the way they present the Elevation brand and this got a 4 star because the whole concept is great with orgnaic free range etc but then i had a veggie burger ;)

Grilled chicken sandwich was delicious, but lunchtime orders take a long time to be served. Staff seemed overstretched at this particular outlet.

I got the cheeseburger combo. The fries were some of the oiliest fries I have ever seen or tasted! Not good. The cheeseburger was dry and slightly burnt. I won’t be eating here again if I can help it.

This elevation burger replaced KFC/Taco Bell in the Leavey Center, which in my opinion is a good upgrade. They pride themselves in using organic meat, and list the calories for their various offerings. I ordered a cheeseburger with ketchup and mayo. It wasn’t horribly expensive compared to anything else in Leavey, and it was pretty tasty. I think you can pay the same amount for a bigger burger elsewhere, but there really isn’t an «elsewhere» nearby. One thing that was wierd to me, and maybe not to anyone else, was that when I gave them my card to pay, they used it to write down my name for the order so that they could call my name when my food was ready. I guess it’s more efficient than just asking me for my name, but something off putting about looking at my card for anything other than swiping it to pay.

i was pretty excited to try a new burger chain so here again i found myself back in the old stomping grounds of the leavey center. i got the elevation burger and fries. i wanted to try the elevation sauce on the side but i never got any when i checked my take out order but whatever. the burger was a little on the dry side and even though they were double patties, appeared smaller when i compare to my gold standard: five guys. the fries were actually good. if you are in the area, try it. but, as for me, i think i will continue to try some others. next up? fatburger and shake shack!

Elevation Burger just opened up a location on Georgetown’s campus in the Leavey Center replacing KFC and Taco Bell. I’ve only tried Elevation Burger once before at the new location in Qatar. The location in Georgetown is popular and looks very clean. I got the cheese burger($ 4.25) and it was good for the kind of flat burger. I still love Rays Hellburgers(Rays to the Third now) the best if you are looking for a proper gourmet burger for a good price.
