Went there for Friday night karaōke. Great song selection, DJ was a great guy. I normally go to another place for karaōke and the song selection is much better here. Highly recommend it.

Ordered a cheese tray as an appetizer and still haven’t received it after 30 min. Server was not attentive to how long order was taking. When we mentioned it she seemed apathetic. She said she«normally works upstairs» as an excuse. Not happy about service.

The only good thing about Fast Eddy’s is the price. $ 3 beers, $ 3.50 rails and $ 1 select appetizers on Tuesdays. Crowd was small and creepy. Bartender was more interested in watching TV than bartending. Also, they«don’t have a nighttime bartender» so everyone got kicked out at 7:30. Disappointing for sure.

Menu is decent, and this is the only place I could find with trivia. Prices are decent and the staff is cool. The beer selection kind of sucks, but whatever. This place does the job if you are looking for a place to watch the game or play trivia, eat a decent burger, and have a beer without spending a ton of cash.

Overall I come here for lunch, and it is good. I love Donna hospitality and when I got here I always get great service and have a good time.

While in DC with some time to kill, I stopped into this place. It was at 2:30 pm and I just wanted to have their Happy Hour $ 3 cocktails and $ 5 wings at 3 pm when it started. I’ve passed this place numerous times on K Street and bypassed it to avoid the association with the strip club Archibald’s next door. This was a pleasant surprise. Turns out Fast Eddie’s is part of Archibald’s. Located on the second and third floors. it’s a narrow space that looks a lot like a strip club. But it’s also like a small sports bar with plenty of TV’s. The drinks we’re alright but the wings were great for the price. Nine varieties to choose from(I had Jerk) even if the dressing was watered down. The bartenders were good people and there was enough on TV to keep me watching. The music played was the capper though. Late 60’s thru early 80’s R&B. This would be my older brother’s hang out spot if I had an older brother. As I sat and listened to a Tina Maria song I thought«I’m coming back to this place…» My new DC spot.

Sometimes its a «sports» bar and sometimes its a continuation of downstair’s strip club. The food is the same kitchen and the drinks are equally expensive. Its a fairly roomy pub atmosphere place with nice old hardwood floors.

Fast Eddies on K St. by far has the best happy hour in Washington, from 3pm until 8pm the drink prices are awesome and everyday they have some great food deals. The place has a «Cheers» like atmosphere and the day time bartender Donna is awesome. She makes the place feel like home. My only complaint is that it could be a great sports bar but the owner has decided that naked girls make more money, so several nights a week, they come up from the«gentleman’s club» downstairs and off go the tv’s and down go the lights and UP goes the drink prices. This would be my very favorite hangout in DC if Fast Eddies could just stay Fast Eddies and Archibalds(the naked girl club) would just stay downstairs!!!

There are 3 levels to this building. The very bottom or basement level is Archibald’s which is a strip club all the time. The middle level is the sports bar area that becomes a strip club at 9pm. The third level is the pool hall. Food is OK, nothing exciting. Beer specials and atmosphere are better on the 3rd floor. If you are on the 2nd level to watch a game, make sure its over by 9pm because they turn the tvs off.

We went here for the karaōke they supposedly have at 8pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It’s a decent spot with nice bartenders. Average beer offerings. Eh food. But the karaōke host on this particular evening never showed. Karaōke fail.

First this place does NOT have strippers. Thats the place downstairs connected but not the same place called Archibalds. GEEZ you newbies… Fast Eddies is one place the strip club is another place. I used to go here for happy hour after work with friends. The pool tables and beer and food with buddies are always the perfect dude thing to do. Its bar food nothing more or less. I go for the wings or pizza and the beer. Its a great place to watch March Maddness. With the many TV’s and staff and food rolling with good convo and its has ok décor inside. The bar upstairs is closed now so no pool tables at this time. That takes alot away from this spot.

My husband and I were on an innocent double date with a couple friends — specifically, we went to dinner and a magic show. When the magic show was over, we decided to go out and get a drink close by. My friend suggested going to Fast Eddie’s across the street. When we walked in, we were greeted by a bouncer that gave the guys a warning, «no touching the girls.» I thought this was odd for a sports bar, thinking that there was a problem with touchy patrons or something and I coyly asked, «Can I touch the girls?» The bouncer yelled at me and said, «No, ma’am, you can’t touch the girls, but you can touch him,» pointing to my husband. When we got beyond the bouncer, I saw a naked girl on a pole, and it all became clear to me. We all felt a little awkward, but we for some reason still sat down for a drink. After some awkward conversation and the guys feeling extremely uncomfortable with the girls coming up asking for some money for their g-strings, we decided to book it on out of there. We then realized the Fast Eddies was further upstairs. It was definitely sort of a dump and not well-maintained. The pitchers were cheap, and they had pool and some games, which was nice, but we could not get past the stippers below. They should definitely advertise a little more clearly where Archibald’s ends and where Fast Eddie’s begins. At the very least, the bouncer should have seen our little group as non-strip club goers and sent us on up!

I write this review as I sit on hold for 7 minutes and counting trying to dispute a terribly incorrect credit card charge. The drinks are cheap and the environment isn’t terrible, but PAYCASH. I spent $ 22 there and have 3 separate credit card charges totaling over $ 60 that I have been disputing for over a week. Every time I call, I speak with a different«manager» or «office rep» and no one is helpful at all. The mis-charges happened with each person in my party(3 people total) so there is something seriously wrong there. Also, one of their bartenders, I believe her name is Lexi, was absolutely awful. We were sitting on one end of the bar, and the other end was filled with, what seemed to be, «Regulars». Lexi had no interest in serving our group, I had to get up and walk empty glasses over to her while she sat down and chatted just to get a refill. While we were there, she ate an entire meal, did her hair, and fixed her make-up in the bar mirror. I was absolutely appalled at how terrible the service was.

It is closed! This is regarding the upstairs bar with the pool tables(Archibald’s is the lower bar). When I asked the Archibald’s staff if or when it will reopen, got a shoulder shrug. Too bad, had really good deals for happy hour and the noise volume was low. You can still get good happy hour prices at Archibald’s but the noise is higher and, if you have a mixed group, the sight of the pole and stage will make some a bit uncomfortable.

So I had no idea that this was a strip club/bar of some sort… but sitting next to the stripper pole gave me some sort of idea. The food is solid, but what makes a probably 3-star restaurant a 4-star for me was the $ 5 burgers on Mondays. According to here( ), $ 5 burgers are among daily deals such as $ 5 unlimited pool and half priced pizza on Sundays, .50 buffalo/gator wings on Tuesday, half priced snow crab legs on Wednesday, $ 5 sliders on Friday. The burgers were quite good. In our party was a $ 4.95 bowl of chili with a healthy side of tortilla chips. The chili was great, homemade, and had big chunks of meat in it. We also had a French dip, was okay, but had a huge heaping of fries. The Swiss alp was juicy, big patty, tasty burger. I ordered the Jack Daniel’s burger, a patty with JD bbq sauce, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and onion strings. It was juicy, delicious, and HUGE, plus both of the burgers were $ 5 including really crispy, tasty fries. The only downside was the slightly spacy service and the food came out a bit slow. Still would come back on a Monday(or try their other daily deals) for only $ 5. It’s honestly the best deal in town — they have a selection of gourmet hamburgers, each one only $ 5 including fries on Mondays. TRYITOUT.

I would love to see an unsuspecting bar turn into a strip club all of a sudden. Fast Eddies doesn’t seem like much but if you look around, you can definitely see how it transforms into a strip club late at night. Those poles aren’t for support. And the mirrors aren’t for ambiance. Reasonable lunch specials at $ 7.99. Too bad the receipt still says Archibald’s so I don’t know how you could come here as a business expense without being flagged. [Original Visit: Sept. 3, 2010]

Pretty good for atmosphere. Not the biggest place — 3 tables, though the cloth is a little fast. More of a bar than a pool hall. Times visited: 1

I haven’t been back to this place in a minute but had to go ahead and Unilocal it out while I am on this happy hour roll. I loved this place! I know, I know, we’re in DC and we’re supposed to keep it classy but who couldn’t do with some tater tots and lil side of skeeze. I know you feel me UnilocalLand! Traditional bar food, great sports coverage and a late night transition to a titty bar make this place and classic and a standard. Miss ya Eddies, I will be back!

Basic Spot. Beer more than reasonably priced, don’t get too creative on the menu, have a cable/satellite system with all of the sports packages(if you are stuck downtown working and want to catch a sporting event, like Iverson coming back or some international soccer championship that’s not on regular TV — they can find it – be persistent if the right person isn’t manning the controls); just get out by a certain time because you could end up leaving with a few less dollars than you planned, when the dancers start. Just a blue collar, easy-going place that’s only three blocks from the White House.

As a woman, I have nothing against ladies. Or against naked ladies. Or against businesses that feature naked ladies. Only the food served by this business, which happens to feature naked ladies. (Be advised that these comments are only about the food at Fast Eddie’s, as I’ve never had the pleasure of viewing the ravishing beauties here.) Somehow, maybe because it’s only a block away, this place was for a while the default choice of my office for group lunches. I can’t imagine how(it happened before my time); my mostly female colleagues are prim, proper, and/or feminist. Then again, half of them I don’t even think knew about the«performers.» Because of my strong and vocal opposition, I’ve only had to suffer twice.(Don’t ask why I went the second time.) I tried the veggie pizza — inedible. I tried the fish and chips — nauseating. I took a bite of a colleague’s chocolate cake — apparently frozen during the Clinton administration, in the same freezer as steaks and burgers. Gentlemen, what’s up? Do you skip your meals and just ask to exchange your bills for singles? Does the sight of naked ladies so stultify you that you lose all sense of taste and smell? That’s very sad.. .
