Faced with a bus ride of several hours we trudged our way down to the carnival of delights that is the Union Station Food Court. This whole area is awesome in that they have a ton of choices but the food quality is usually like playing Russian Roulette with your colon. You never know if what you eat is going to cause the gun to off later at any given time. It was also a sad site to see that the busiest place in the whole food court was easily the Bojangles. If you don’t know what a Bojangles is… good. Be thankful and don’t was your time and Maalox trying to find out either. We chose Great Wraps simply because the line wasn’t long and because they were one of the few places not trying whore out their food by offering free samples that had sat around for who knows how long. We opted for a Chicken Caesar Wrap and a Chicken I forget what kind of wrap. Both tasted OK but the Chicken was all dark meat and to some that’s quite gross and disgusting. So know if you go that you’re only going to be getting the ass quality meat. We both ate half and discarded the rest. Mercifully there were no eruptions later so I guess that plus the convenience of them now taking credit were the only two positives worth noting from this gastronomic junket. Next time I’ll stick with my favorite place in the food court just for the name alone: Flamers

Needed to pick up some lunch while at Union Station. Got a tuna wrap and a falafel wrap. Both were fresh and tasty!

I was taking a bus from Union Station and had an hour to kill. It was 9am and I was hungry. Great Wraps! was one of two places open in the food court and I didn’t want friend fried chicken at 9am. I got the philly wrap with fries and a lemonade. It was overpriced and the food sucked. I didn’t even bother to finish the wrap. I should have just found a bagel place.

We enjoyed large, decent-priced salads for lunch at Union Station. This food court spot offered a good deal for our grilled chicken garden and Caesar salads. The chicken was prepared fresh and it was only a short wait before receiving our order. Considering most of the vendors have high, train station prices, this was a fair deal.

Only eat here if your in a bind. It shouldn’t kill you… i hope, but the wraps are under dressed, under seasoned and very under whelming. They can fill you up quick if you need something though… so don’t discourage.

I’m on this 2-week vegan kick(long, somewhat pained story) and ended up coming here due to the dearth of meatless/dairy-less options in this — or any — food court. They actually have a pretty decent falafel & hummus sandwich as well as a vegetable sandwich, neither of which contain any dairy.(Who knows about the tortillas, but screw it, I’m not that hardcore.) Outside of the vegan availabilities they really do have an impressive number of options, and the sandwiches are gigantic. It does suck that they don’t take credit cards and I do vaguely worry about the cleanliness(PS my coworker just found an animal bite on his bag of chips from the Subway a few vendors down), but hello, welcome to Union Station.

Pros: N/A Cons: The cockroach scurrying around the display window should have been enough of a warning. Unfortunately I had no cash with me and I was in a rush. Not only was my «hot» wrap cold, but they OVERCHARGED my CREDITCARD after my purchase. I sicced the Visa Dispute Center on them. Have fun rondavueing with Visa.

I got a BBQ wrap and my friend got a Sante Fe wrap. Other than the sauce they were identical — chicken, bacon, cheese, nasty lettuce, nasty tomato. I’ve had a lot of wraps in my day and these were not even mediocre, let alone great. Poor ingredients, poor job of wrapping. I suppose the price was decent, about $ 7.50. I will be avoiding this place.

One of the only stations open prior to 1000 in the food court at Union Station, there could be worse options. I’ve managed to eat here twice now, by virtue of 1) having no interest in Au Bön Pain upstairs and 2) not having reasonable alternatives open in the food court. But a boy’s gotta eat. After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. The cashier lady(presumably the proprietor?) is always amazingly perky. She clearly doesn’t recognize me, because –exactly– as she’s done before, she calls out, «We have breakfast!» and proceeds to run through a list of various breakfast options as I walk toward the counter. Yep, I know. I’ve heard it all before. Feeling a little porky lately, I opted for a wrap. A chicken caesar salad one. So, I’ve had a lot of these in my life. I subsisted off of them for most of a quarter in undergrad, because there wasn’t much else to eat in the food halls. Ahhh, the wonders of grade-above-prison-food Sodexho grub… That’s why I feel well qualified to explain that for a place that’s named Great Wraps!(seriously, there’s an exclamation mark at the end of the name on their sign), they’re pretty true to form. Tightly wound in a spinach wrap, this little foil-wrapped baby holds together superbly well. Great start. Fresh crispy romaine lettuce — I actually kind of like the crunch with the stemmy parts, so that was a plus. Light on the caesar dressing… enough to keep the whole mess from being too dry, but doesn’t feel heavy at all. And an extremely generous serving of tender chicken that hasn’t had all of the moisture cooked out of it. The most unexpected part came in the form of big crunchy croutons! I don’t think I’ve seen that in a caesar wrap before! Yum. Admittedly, the wrap alone will run you about seven dollars, and more if you get a drink(water apparently defaults to bottled water). Platters are offered, including fries and a pop. I passed. Ultimately, beggars can’t really be choosers, and I’m not about to complain. Filling food, smiling service, good enough for me.

If this is the Great Wraps in Union Station then I’ll have to say I’m a fan. I got the gyro(mind you, not the«ultimate gyro») and curly fries. Oh, and a giant dr. pepper. All of this was under $ 10. It was all very delicious. I would definitely eat here again. Make sure you have cash though, they don’t accept anything else(like all of the other food places in union station!)
