Antwon the manager is amazing. This location has great customer service– they go above and beyond to make sure they do right by you. My sandwhich took about a little longer than expected, and the manager personally called me to apologize. I will be using this location again. Thank you!

Closed on a Wednesday at 6:00 pm. No one inside and the door is locked but all the lights are on. Won’t even try coming back. Jimmy johns is already a single step up from subway and literally I only eat if I happen to find a parking spot and can’t come up with a better plan. But to be closed turned a 3 star chain into a ½ star. Do better Jimmy Johns… if you know how to.

I came here for $ 1 sub day(Customer Appreciation Day) and ordered the veggie sandwich(#6) on wheat bread. My advice: next time don’t compromise the sandwich and get it on their fresh-baked sub bread — the wheat bread just wasn’t doing it for me. Instead of being a wheat sub roll, it’s two slices of wheat bread(and it felt kind of like it was wheat bread from the grocery store). The veggie sandwich is described as: Layers of provolone cheese separated by real avocado spread, sliced cucumber, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I also added onions and alfalfa sprouts(note: if you want alfalfa sprouts, you have to ask). I didn’t get«layers» of cheese(and just a heads up: if you order cheese and it’s not included in the menu description, it costs extra). If you’re going to have a veggie sub, then it better be satisfying without any meat. Long story short, it wasn’t — I was missing the meat. They make the sandwiches pretty quickly — you’ll spend more time waiting in line to order than waiting for them to make your order. Part of the reason that they can make the sandwiches so quickly is because they’re cold subs — no toasting here. On a normal day, these subs will average about $ 6. Not bad, but considering they call themselves a «gourmet» sandwich joint, I would expect more in terms of taste. Not sure if I’ll be back, but if I do return, I’ll be sure to get the default sub bread for the full JJ experience.

I just want to give a big shout out and a great big THANKS for the awesome job that the Jimmy Johns staff did on 14th Street in DC on yesterday to show«Customer Appreciation» by allowing us to purchase a sub for $ 1.00. It was amazing how they serviced their customers from 10 – 3. People waited in line and were excited and patient. Again I just want to thank EVERYONE who made this possible. They were very organized and did not run out of food. Kudos to you guys, and thanks again!!!

Hold the phone. Are these guys time travelers? That is the only way I can imagine how fast our food got to us. I placed my order at 5:59pm and the delivery man(shout out to Raheem for being very friendly and his speed) was walking through the front door at 6:08pm. Whaaaaaat?! That’s bananas. I was on the verge of hanger, and it didn’t even have time to develop because of how quickly the food got to me. I would also like to commend the sandwich itself. My colleague and I ordered the«unwich,» which is just the sandwich wrapped in a lettuce wrap, because we are currently trying to lessen our bread intake. The only thing«un» about this sandwich, was that it is un-believeable how tasty it was. A real delight. The sandwich craftsmanship at the Jimmy Johns on 14th street has two thumbs up from this gal. My only negative(not enough to deduct stars), was that not all the sandwiches were labeled(I ordered three one for myself and two for my colleagues), and there was some confusion as to which sandwich was which. We figured it out though, so minor issue. I really just needed to share how quickly the food got to me. Really blew my mind.

I finally tried Jimmy John’s and didn’t order one sandwich on the menu because it was listed as having double meat and double cheese which sounded too large for lunch. I ended up ordering another sandwich, which I thought would be regular-sized, but boy was I wrong. I clearly should have gone for the double meat and cheese option given the small size of the sandwich that actually came out Clearly Jimmy John’s description of double meat and double cheese is just what you would get as a normal portion at other establishments. Also, I was not impressed, with the size especially given how much it cost. It definitely wasn’t a good value and the flavors were nothing special. Overall, there are many other sandwich spots that I’d pick over Jimmy John’s.

Delivers and prepares so fast, your sub is probably already made and waiting for you before you finish reading this sentence. I ALWAYS leave this place knowing that I have a sandwich that will satisfy all my deli meat needs for that day. The amount of deli meat they give you is very gratuitous when you compare it to subways. The meat is never fried to a crisp when you compare it to Potbelly because the subs/sandwiches are always served cold because HOTSUBSAREFORNUBS. If you’re wondering why this place tastes so good, at least to me, is because of their bread, their fresh meat, and mayonnaise. They do lather the bread with mayonnaise but not an exorbitant amount.

Ordered large roast beef sub. Not impressed by quantity or quality. Large amount of bread seemed to overwhelm the sandwich. Think I’d prefer Subway over this place & at a cheaper price. Staff was not very friendly either.

We always get what we order in very fast time. The only gripe that i had with them was one time we placed an order with mulitple payments and they sent them individually when we requested them to be sent at the same time to the same location. Other than that good food and fast delivery time

Well, where do I begin? Maybe I should start with telling you how unfriendly, cold, and rude The staff is including the heavily tattooed, skinny cashier with cycling outfit or The three female employees who managed to sit on top of the counter entire time while one person was making sandwiches. The bread was cold and staled and the BLT sandwich might as well been pulled out of the freezer as the bacon was semi frozen. After I receive my sandwich I decided to have some hot peppers on the side and the lady said we don’t do that. Really? My wife and I suffered through the crappy service and finished our sandwiches with nobody else in the shop, the staff didn’t bother to say thanks or good bye.

The worst place. The worst customer service I have had in a while. Over a 45 minute wait and promised my money back but never gave it. Was so disrepectful. When I finally got my food I was too mad to eat it. Will never go again.

ALL JJs fall short for the same reason — you always forget the napkins. HOWEVER, This is my go-to JJ! The people who work here are great and say hello to everyone as soon as walk in! I have not ordered delivery from here yet, but it’s the typical JJEXCEPT they include hot peppers in the«Freebie» part(which most JJs don’t do) and so that makes this one my FAVORITEJJ of all time. However, it is not indoor-seating friendly(there’s like enough space for 15 people… maybe). There are a few tables for outdoor seating.

Yes they are fast I did get my sandwich in under 8 mins or whatever their sing says. But no real flavor.

Right next to my work and since I was starved this seemed like a pretty good choice. It was around 5pm and I had to stay in the office so I was looking for something that could cure my caloric needs. It was empty except the people behind the counter who were having a good time. They were friendly and offered suggestions. I went with the Italian sandwich. I went back to my office and unwrapped it and thought, «Oh. That’s it?» It was just a standard cheese/meat/some shredded iceberg lettuce. I mean, don’t get me wrong it was an Italian sandwich, but it was the barest Italian sandwich I have ever had. I felt like I could have walked to CVS and gotten the same ingredients and made my own. So I googled the place and it seems people like to rave about their bread. Bread? Ok. What? It is like, normal bread. But beggars can’t be choosers. It filled me up and kept me going but next time, I’ll make a Subway run.

This is where I rank Jimmy John’s compared to other sub shops: 1. Jimmy Johns 2. Potbellys 3. Subway 4. Quiznos 5. Jersey Mikes I have only ever gotten the Bootleggers Club because it is that good that I don’t dare stray. Their sandwiches are always fresh and tasty. This shop is no different in terms of food although the staff seems a little more interested in horse play than the customer.

The setup in here makes it a little difficult during the lunch-time rush. But just like all Jimmy John’s, they get you in and out of there right quick. I was a little sad to have this Jimmy John’s be the place where I found out that they don’t do sprouts on the #12 anymore. It was my main staple, and they took away one of the best parts. Look, I don’t like change. And why mess with perfection? The seating is also lacking, but during the summer months it’s great to sit out on the sidewalk and people-watch as you please.

Jimmy, I have a bone to pick with you. Let me start by declaring myself a sandwich maven. I will say that I typically adore JJ’s and go out of my way to stop at one of their many locations. Imagine how stoked I was when my BFF moved into a condo building on top of this store! That quickly soured when I tried – twice – to eat here. The first time, they were closing and cleaning up and wouldn’t serve us. What restaurant in a MAJOR city closes at 9PM? Lame. Tonight I wanted to reward myself for dealing with DC traffic. I couldn’t – because they were OUTOFBREAD. Specifically, their delicious French bread rolls that nearly all of their sandwiches are served on. They had random weird single slices of bread but who wants that? I can make a sandwich like that at home. What sandwich shop runs out of bread at 7:15PM? I will continue my quest for sandwich perfection, but not at this location.

This place is so simple. 14 sammies, about half on subs, half on club. Give your order, it gets yelled out to the guys on the sandwich line and within minutes I had three subs in my hand. Not too bad. The subs weren’t bad either. Good bread(def better than subway) and stuffed enough to fill you up. The little things make it cool too. It’s not just a turkey, with L & T. They throw sprouts in there for the goof. It’s not groundbreaking, but I enjoyed it. Note: I went at 6pm on a Sat and no one else was in there.

Wow, this place was very cheap and very fast — I was quite impressed! I ordered one of their special turkey club sandwiches even with a special request of no mayo, and I literally ordered, swiped my card and boom! Sandwich done. And it was very tasty. There were lots of other items on the menu that looked good as well. Decent sized chip bags. I also liked the music :) Next time I am in a rush and in a sandwich mood I will opt for this over Subway. It is much faster! Glad I finally tried this place out.

I love Jimmy John’s and it’s been a longtime go to place for quick sandwiches in DC. However, for some reason the 14th st location just isn’t doing it right. I’m not talking about the sandwiches but the service. Being the small place that is it, there is typically a long line out the door and people standing around to get their sandwiches. However, there is no numbering process being used so people grab the wrong sandwiches all the time. Today, I witnessed 2 people in a span of 5 minutes grab someone else’s sandwich. The customers were not happy and the JJ employees were confused too. As far as I’m concerned, with how chaotic it was during lunch, a random stranger could have grabbed a sandwich and nobody would have confirmed their order. Word of the wide JJ: Get the Service right.
