honestly so much fun. quality DJ and well-made cocktails. a hint too expensive, but there’s never a cover so it’s worth it. not very douchey and everyone literally just DANCES. it’s great.

We visited the Kabin on a Saturday night during a trip to DC. To echo other Unilocalers, the DJ played to the crowd which this night was a Classic Hip Hop, R&B, 80’s and top 40 set. The drinks were good but slightly over priced($ 12-$ 14 dollars) served by rude bartenders. The dance floor was small and crowded. Spoiler Alert: The pictures on the website are shot with a wide angle lens, in angles that deceive you into believing the space is larger than the reality. On the positive side, entry to the lounge was free. It’s a good place for a quick drink and a quick dance.

The music is pretty good but the drinks are horrific. I asked for a top shelf tequila drink and they substituted with a lower brand right in front of me. I guess they assume everyone is drunk at a certain time and ignore the request of specific brands. Yes! She heard me because she repeated the brand/drink I wanted. If you don’t care about enjoying a quality drink Kabin is the place to be. I highly suggest the Griffin which is right next door. Bigger! Better! The music and drinks definitely warrant a second visit.

Had a fabulous time at Kabin! I’m a teacher and was there with a large group celebrating a coworker. They completely hooked us up– invited us into VIP, gave us a bottle of champagne and thanked us being teachers. Amazing place– full of first class people. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

I love Kabin! My friends and I were bar hopping in Dupont and stumbled upon it which became the best surprise ever and our spot for the rest of the summer. Each time we went to Kabin, the DJ played music for the people who were there, it was never the same generic top 40s playing so everyone was always dancing and enjoying themselves. The staff is great and always accommodated us well. We always get a table because it is very affordable especially if it’s 5 or 6 of us, it’s easier to enjoy ourselves without losing one or two to the crowd.

very trendy and nice looking place, no slobby looking people here. The place is always packed on Saturday night when I usually take a trip down there for the weekends. Only Con is it is very tiny after the amount of people that pack in there leaving not much room to dance as people have to walk through people dancing to get to the bathroom. It is a great place to bar hop through though as there are other places nearby.

This is a good place to STARTOFF the night to get a nice buzz going. But I usually leave within an hour of my arrival. The DJ is mediocre, the club is small, and the Women’s bathroom always seems to be a puke fest from young college girls who can’t handle their alcohol… 3.5 out of 5. It’s a chill place though with nice décor.

Went here on a Saturday night and it was fun. The bouncers didn’t give us a hassle to get in and the dj was ok. One bartender gave us some watered down drinks, but after we switched bartenders the drinks were strong. The dj played mainly billboard hits but was all over the place. The crowd was a mix of 20 and 30 year olds. I would recommend checking it out.

I came here last Friday with my bf because he had an open bar deal from Eventbrite(I think). The open bar was supposed to start at 10:00 p.m. but there was a private party so it got delayed until 10:30 p.m. The open bar was good but I felt kinda old – it seems to be for a younger crowd. It’s pretty small and it was packed. The bathroom was clean which is always appreciated – especially for a nightclub. I’d go back for the open bar.

The first time I came here I hated the music cause it was R&B/rap. The second time I came here the music was pop/dance and better suited to my tasted, but FILLED with super creepy guys! I was going to give this place 2 stars, but at least the cover is free, so you can check it out to see if it suites you and leave without feeling like you wasted money.

Came on July 4th, like the convenience from the metro stop. Stayed for a total of 20 mins tops the music was blech– top 40 but with the strangest club mixes i ever heard. Went next door to gryffin. Id go again if the music was better though.

Came here with girlfriends for a bachelorette party and had a blast. The DJ played a good mix of hits and kept us interested in dancing. The atmosphere was a mix between rustic ski chalet with modern accents in the lighting and wood work. The dance floor itself was pretty small but hugged the bar and table section which was convenient for navigation. Bathrooms were also pretty easy to access from any point in the bar. The front door service was friendly, not creepy, and nice for DC bouncers. I will say this, for a Saturday night the crowd was roughly 75% women and most of them were in other bachelorette parties. I don’t know if I’ve seen that many ladies in a bar since, well, never. But hey, no complaints here! My ladies had a great time and enjoyed complimentary champagne and table service!

I enjoy coming to Kabin on Friday evenings for their 1 hour Open Bar. It’s one of the things that keeps me coming back. Zack is one of the bartenders we like giving our money to. He is very personable and makes our drinks very well. My favorite DJ is Pablo. We try to make it in every time we know he’s DJing because he BRINGSIT every time. We really enjoy his DJing style. I wish there was a kitchen in there as I get very hungry after dancing lol. Will be returning again soon.

Here’s the story — my boyfriend was at the bar, trying to close out the tab. The bartender states that he’s causing a scene(and maybe he is? he’s kinda loud) and that he needs to leave. He says… ok I’m closing my tab. She refuses to give him his card and his ID which he had to supply to buy drinks at the bar. After an inordinate amount of time at the bar, I go to my boyfriend and ask what’s wrong. He says that they have the card and ID but refuse to give it to him. I’m asking the bartender what’s going on? She says the card was closed out; they don’t have it. However, my boyfriend was adamant that they had it. He gets the cops involved, and lo and behold, the credit card was recovered, but not the ID. Pretty insane right? Imagine our disbelief last night when this happened in a span of couple of hours while we’re out trying to have a good time with our friends. I’m definitely not coming in here again. I can’t help but wonder if ID theft is common at Kabin.

I always go here but I always end up leaving the club to go somewhere else. So it’s not the best of times. I always leave within an hour of being in the club. I just feel like the crowd of guys they pull in is on the creepy end… And that’s a big N.O. for a girl going out with her girlfriends to have a good, chill and non-creepy night.

I’ll start this review out by saying Im not as young as I used to be and when looking to party on the DC scene I find myself more interested in getting star treatment then caring about latest trend. KABIN came recommended to me from a friend. At first I was a little hesitant as I hadn’t been to a DC night club in forever but after being reassured it wasn’t all 20 something’s i decided to give it a shot. Dakota was our sever for part of the night and she was awesome. She was fast and courteous and when I didn’t know what I wanted to drink she was quick to offer up some ideas! Glad I listened because those drinks were delicious. We were so well taken care of that night I decided to get another table at KABIN for a friend’s birthday. This time we had Laura and although the club was super crowded she was very fast and very nice. She definitely took care of our group and we had a great time . I often ask myself why write«she was nice», I mean isn’t that expected of good cocktail service? The answer to that question is no, not all service is the same especially in a city like dc filled with pretentious elites. So I definitely appreciate good service because I have been ignored or made to feel unimportant by many of servers in DC in my day. So it’s such a breath of fresh air to recieve service with a smile!

A cool hot spot in the middle of Washingtons nightlife quarters. Its not very big, so you gotta squeeze yourself into this popular club. This is probably a pretty sweet spot to grab a table at, but i donno if its worth it. Main dancefloor is right infront of the DJ that spins RnB and also House occasionally. Dancefloor is pretty packed and pricing is normal. One bad thing is that everybody have to pass the dancefloor when they are going to the restrooms. And for occasion, some people tend to do that when drinking alcoholic beverages. There are a lot of different venues around, and its hard to point out this club as the extraordinary. But its def. a place where you can have a great night at!

Been here a few times and my biggest issue is the layout of the place, they have the bathrooms/kitchen right next to the dj and prime dance floor area(away from the front door and bar). So there is staff constantly walking through with bottles and people making their way to the bathroom, it is impossible to dance or hold a conversation here, and you go to bars for one or the other. It is open bar Friday from 10 – 11 with a pass, but beware it is packed and the crowd is what you’d expect for an open bar… Bar service is bleh, bouncers are bleh, music is never special.

This review is long overdue! I threw my sister’s Bachelorette party here, and it was nothing short of fantastic! We had a private table with bottle service of course, it’s the only way to party. The bottle girl was friendly and treated all of my guest like rockstars. Jordan is one of the managers there, and made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. I will definitely be throwing my 35th birthday bash there… can’t wait.
