Very friendly service with amazing lobster rolls. About lunch sized portion rolls so if you come with an appetite I would also get a soup(I got the shrimp/corn chowder) which was great. They also have this soda brand called«Maine root», which I was able to try two flavors of– perfect pairing! If you like a little bit of spice, try the ginger brew :)

Whoa tasty! Raised in Kansas and Missouri, and now living in Portland, Oregon, I’m not exactly an expert on Lobster rolls. In fact, this was probably the third I’ve ever had. But holy hell was it delicious! Plump, rich, tender, delicious lobster piled high in split-top bun, served chilled with mayo and lemon butter, this was one damn good sandwich. While it wasn’t huge by any means, the amount of lobster meat seemed more than ample for the size of the bun. I opted to get it as a meal, with clam chowder, cole slaw and a soda. The chowder was rich and delicious, also with plenty of meat. The cole slaw was OK, but in hindsight I wish I would have gotten chips. And a root beer on the side? Yum. Obviously not health food. And at $ 23 before tip, obviously not a cheap lunch. I couldn’t/wouldn’t eat here all that regularly, but for an indulgence, heck yeah!

I thought I knew everything about a lobster roll until I rolled on down to Lukes Lobster. Holy Grail!!! This is THEKING of all lobster rolls. Totally blew me away with its tender unctuous perfection. I devoured it in under 5 minutes and was left lonely, begging for more. I had to turn around and get another one. ITCHANGEDMYLIFE. It’s been 3 months since my last indulgence and I think about my next rendezvous almost everyday. I love you Lukes Lobster. Sorry I didn’t find you sooner. Please don’t ever leave me.

Stopped in and tried both the Lobster Roll and Crab Roll Combos — The lobster roll was to die for… 1000% recommended. The crab was good but go with the lobster, the slaw was really simple but totally delicious. I’ll be coming back.

Found this little restaurant while doing a light shopping in Georgetown. I’ve had Luke’s Lobster before in New York City but to find one in Washington DC was a surprise on its own. So I found this little restaurant while doing a light shopping in Georgetown. However, I have to say the food quality was just an OK for the price(~$ 25) So I got the lobster roll with the lobster bisque and slaw. My roll was pretty good but the bisque wasn’t up to par with my standards. It was lukewarm and felt kind of old. I don’t know if it’s because I came at an awkward time during the day(~5PM) but I definitely felt like it could’ve been better. The thing that really got me though is that my friend who also got the lobster bisque found hair in her food and the staff really didn’t know how to resolve the issue. Hopefully issues like these don’t happen for other customers.

It’s really good The lobster roll is really good Kind of expensive, but it makes sense with its location and freshness There is no service that they do, you just order and get your food and get it to go or sit down Overall it’s great

Chunks of sweet lobster on a toasted buttered roll… This place is simple in a good way. Find it and savior the flavor.

Little food store close to the main street of the Georgetown. I ordered shrimp roll and liked the taste of it. The shrimps were fresh and tasty, but the roll was so tiny that I became hungry after an hour! Luke’s shrimp roll is delicious but good for snacking, don’t expect any big portions!

Yummmmy!!! Got the trio which consisted of lobster, shrimp roll and a dungeonous crab cla and I must say all were good, the lobster the best! Finished it off with a main root soda and some chips for a complete meal. All said and done it was about $ 24 a person so it’s not cheap but will satisfy the lobster craving. There is also and upstairs area for sitting as the place is kinda tight.

Completely mediocre, and simply not worth it. 1) too pricey for the itty bitty pieces you get. 2) No flavor ATALL. 3) I would never even compare their seafood to anything off a fast food spot. 4) staff are not friendly not welcoming. Safe to say that I did not even finish the rolls, and a complete waste of money. I for one LOVE seafood, and can truly appreciate a good roll, however, this spot does NOT do anything for me. $ 30 down the drain. Take at their black iced tea was good.

Best meal I had during my DC trip. I love clam chowder and lobster rolls and am always on the search for good ones. Lukes did not disappoint. The prices were totally reasonable and the portions are abundant. My brother comes here quite often since he moved to DC a few months ago. I was super excited to try their rolls. Loved every single bite. the lobster was moist, tender, sweet, and so so fresh. The taste of the fresh lobster shined thru completely on its own without being covered up by any sauce. The clam chowder was seasoned nicely with tons of clams. The lobster bisque was luscious and velvety and also packed with giant pieces of lobster. Everyone loved it and it wasn’t breaking the bank. The staff was really friendly, the tables were clean, and food came to quick. My most memorable meal for sure!

Heartbroken was the man who decided to arrive after this little restaurant already closed and couldn’t get any lobster rolls. Had he arrived on time he would’ve experienced the pure decadence that these buttery, succulent lobster rolls have to offer. The lobster rolls were lusciously blanketed in rich flavor and enveloped in pillowy but toasted bread. My husband and other couple of friends couldn’t decide to commit to one lobster roll or try a little of everything, so they decided on the Tour of Maine. They enjoyed rolls filled not just with lobster but two other rolls where crab and shrimp joined in on the fun. The clam chowder was a hit. We also shared a bottle of Pinot Noir to cap off the evening of seafood loving. Our taste buds and tummies could not be happier with this tucked away«taste of Maine» kind of restaurant, casual and unassuming yet somehow a bright stand out for locals and visitors alike!

Lobster rolls seem like a good idea, but in practice I’m rarely satisfied after consuming one. The idea of a lobster roll is generally better than the roll itself, but at Luke’s — I was pleasantly surprised. The space is small and so is the menu. There’s a lobster grilled cheese, a roll, clam chowder and a few other items. There is a single cocktail. I went for the simple cold lobster roll at Luke’s. It was $ 16. The lobster was fresh, not chewy whatsoever, cold and on a toasted roll with a tiny bit of mayonnaise. It’s a little small, but I found it to be delicious. It’s a cute little place in the heart of Georgetown and if you’re craving some decent seafood, this would be one of my first stops.

I kind of feel this place is overrated and I have had better lobster rolls elsewhere. For the district though — it might be spot on with more of the majority than myself. Prices range from $ 13-$ 16 for crab rolls to lobster rolls. Getting an appetizer such as chowder or other soups range from $ 5-$ 9 depending on what you choose. They do offer Maine type drinks. Kudos for the park benches outside for ‘patio seating’. I will give them credit for trying, but seriously just not my favorite… I do like lobster rolls a lot too…

Was intrigued by their simple menu. Lobster roll, crab roll, lobster mac n cheese lobster or crab bisque. A few other items but not much more. Since this was my first meal of the day after arriving in town, I wanted to keep it quick and easy. The lobster roll is prepared fresh, hence the wait during busy times. The huge chunks of sweet lobster was 5 star worthy. A very small dab of mayo was on bottom and I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be a problem to ask for it with no mayo. The only place I would ding a half star is the lack of space. We were lucky to snag a seat upstairs of the 3 cozy tables that were up there. Very friendly staff, though no servers as its a go to your counter, order and wait for your name to be called kind of place.

I came here for dinner when visiting Georgetown with my boyfriend and we have split reviews. I ordered the combo of a shrimp roll and lobster bisque, and was pretty happy with my meal. They give you a generous amount of shrimp on the roll and the butter sauce is amaaazzinnggg, but they put some seasoning on top that I didn’t like, which ruined the taste for me. On the other hand, my boyfriend got the crab roll with clam chowder and LOVED his meal! After spending 3 months in DC for work, he said this was his favorite meal, so I guess it depends on how much you like that seasoning! I would still recommend this place though, because the staff was very friendly, the sodas were yummy, and the seafood tastes fresh!

Great lobster rolls! I normally like my food warm but this cold lobster meat is very fresh and tasty in a buttery roll. Not sure if I’d say the same towards the shrimp and crab rolls. It is a little pricey here but they do give you a lot of meat. The crab claw meat was fresh and yummy. I didn’t even need to dip it in cocktail sauce. Cold slaw was meh. I probably will pick a different side next time. I tried the ginger soda and thinking it would taste similar to ginger ale, but I regretted it. It had a very strong ginger taste! Overall, it was a good experience! It inspired me to make a trip to Maine just for some lobsters!!! :)

Love their lobster rolls! They are pricy, but they are worth your money. I got a lobster roll combo. It came with a choice of chips or mayo free slaw, a pickle, and a drink. To make your lobster roll a combo it only cost three more dollars. It’s worth it because just the slaw cost two dollars and a drink cost three dollars. I loved their mayo free slaw. It was made with apple cider vinegar and poppy seeds. So perfect with the lobster roll. They use a lot of lobster in your roll and you can definitely tell that it was made with super fresh lobster meat. The lobster meat is not coated with mayo. The roll was toasted perfectly. They have a wide selection of drinks. I got their root beer. They even have alcoholic beverages here. When you step into this place you feel like you are near an ocean. It has a nice coastal atmosphere.

Awesome! Good Taste, price, atmosphere, staff, beer, decorations,… Bad Nothing so far. I had Taste of Maine $ 23. ½lobster, crab, and shrimp, 2crab claws, beer or soda, coleslaw or chips I missed their happy hour by 15mnts. And coleslaw was sold out. I’ll come here 4:00 — 7:00pm next time and order Noah’s Ark(Taste of Maine X2)

«Luke, I am your lobster.» I mean, Luke, I love your lobster! I’ve enjoyed Star Wars about as long as I’ve loved lobster. I couldn’t resist! Neither should you. Use the Force or your Unilocal app or how ever you have to do … but do find your way to Luke’s. Easily between a four n five star taste/portion/quality — I like ‘em naked and this was no problem. Perfectly lightly buttered and succulent, sweet meat. The service was«above and beyond» so I hand them the fifth star. Talking about Chicago and the counter-guy who’d brought me my roll said, «we’re opening there in a couple of months.» We kept chatting and I didn’t even notice the other guy stocking the chips. When I asked«whereabouts in Chicago?» and the counter-guy replied, «not sure»…but the other stocking-guy chimed in «I sent a text to the one who knows, this person does.» Yoda! Before I left, I found out«in the Loop» and stocking-guy asked, «Do you know where that is?» :-) What exceptional customer service! I really look forward to seeing Luke’s in Chicago.(It’s listed already on Unilocal… and here’s the link fo yo bookmarkin’ self: I don’t want to put any Trekkies at odds here, so I’ll leave you with a hand salute: «Live long and lobster»
