Lunch — that great DC tradition when you need something to do at your desk aside from«work.» Market to Market has got you covered, folks. With daily specials — I go for the Wednesday cheeseburger special for like $ 7 — and a menu that includes«The Beefy Encounter»(Still haven’t had the stones to buy this) everyone will be satisfied. It’s lunch time, you’re within two maybe three blocks of this place, you should visit. Also, looking before, there seems to be a trend. Market to Market transcends: Ambiance, Attire, and Noise. So far as I can tell, people come in and get what they need and take it back to their office to eat in some peace and quiet.

I go to Market to Market several times a week for lunch, as it’s really convenient to my office. They have great specialty sandwiches, a large Chinese food hot bar, a very nice, fresh salad bar(which even has some sushi), and another hot food bar with miscellaneous things like macaroni and cheese and fried chicken. I’ve actually never gotten anything from either hot food bar because I like their sandwiches so much, but I do see people taking food from the hot bars regularly, so they must be pretty good. As for the sandwiches, they will make you whatever you want. They always have fresh vegetables for toppings, and if you’re getting something off the grill, don’t expect to get something that’s been sitting out for any period of time. They grill it fresh for you. They make a great turkey club and an excellent grilled chicken sandwich. In addition, I had them cater a lunch meeting, and the price per person for what we got was far better than either Cosi or Panera. We got full sandwiches(not halves, as are offered by Cosi and Panera) two huge bowls of salads, drinks, chips, and cookies for about $ 3 less per person than at Cosi or Panera. When you have a big crowd, $ 3 per person adds up quickly. And on top of it, they delivered ONTIME and for free. Furthermore, the owners are so nice and so accommodating. I will continue to be a loyal M2M customer!

Their cold salad bar is the best in the area Haven’t tried any of the hot/prepared foods or grill/sandwiches If they had FroYo or decent coffee. I would live here :)

Excelente si buscas comida simple pero que no sea Burger para llevar o comer allí mismo. Es comida asiatica. Precio razonable que depende del peso de lo que te llevas.

I’ve been here a couple of times now, and it always hits the spot. Always a daily special at a good price, though I have yet to try anything from the grill, so, sorry, can’t comment. But really, how bad can something be when it’s made on a grill? I’ve had roasted chicken here that was to my taste and not overlooked, perhaps a little dry from sitting out so long, but that was an easy remedy with some hot sauce. I’ve also enjoyed a spicy tofu that was cooked great and very yummy(I like tofu big deal)! They have a salad bar as well as a hot bar, and the fruit is very fresh and juicy! Definitely a good place to pick up a quick lunch, especially when you can’t decide what you want beforehand. Guaranteed you’ll find something you want here.

The key to success here is not to get too much rice, noodle, or meat with bones. Then, you will be a happy camper.

Salad bar is so so. I had a terrible sandwich there once, the woman made me the wrong sandwich on rye bread and put stuff on it I didn’t want. I had to pay for it, but I literally couldn’t force myself to eat more than a bite of it. I’ve gotten sushi from there… not a wise choice. Only positive is it is across from my work, and they have mango sometimes.

I eat here almost every day, late in the afternoon. It’s one of the only fast and close places to my office, so it’s just my default. The fries here are great. I suggest the cheeseburger special on Wednesdays. Too good to miss! I always avoid eating off of the hot bar — I can get a lot more freshly prepared food at the sandwich counter for a lot less money. I find their food is decently priced, but their bottled sodas and teas are more on the expensive side. The staff is always friendly, if you come here often they always ask how you are and remember your face. That’s a definite bonus in this area, as most places are so busy they don’t have time to remember you.

You walk in and you’re greeted by the aroma of cooked food sitting in open buffets and you’re tempted, SO tempted to dive in. Steel yourself, beyond the heated buffet is the salad bar. To the right is the hot and cold sandwich counter. Now, make your decision! I’ve been here too many times to count in the last four years. I made the mistake of trying the Californian, and the Virginian sandwiches and now I’m a diehard fan for both! The salad bar is great and the hot food buffet has a rotating menu of chinese food and american delicables to try by the pound. My only gripe is their burgers, which I tried today for the first time. I guess they don’t use high quality beef, because the burger itself was chewy and dry. Not on the McDonald’s level, but two or three notches above it. I’ll probably go to Jack’s Fresh in the future for my burgers. The staff is attentive and very friendly. Needless to say, I’ll be back for a Virginian sandwich when the mood strikes!

I appreciate this place for offering the opportunity to create a healthy meal. Granted, not everything To Market To Market offers is healthy; BUT, if you can look past the tempting mac and cheese and deep-fried egg rolls, you will find that there are plenty of healthy choices available. Upon my first visit here, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful array of fresh fruits; mango, strawberries, melon, pineapple, oranges… all perfectly ripe and sweet. They also have a variety of salads available. I picked up a veggie sandwich(avocado, sprouts, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, and provolone cheese on seeded whole-grain bread) which was absolutely delicious. Downside: my whole lunch, which included the sandwich and some fruit, cost about $ 12. This was the doing of the fruit, mostly, which with the pay-by-the-pound system can add up to a lot(the sandwich was only about $ 5). So, while I do enjoy this place, it is a little pricey to go to on a regular basis. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend it :)

this place is a typical lunch buffet place… but it has to get 4 stars because they have the most amazing french fries. i’m not kidding… and i’m a fry-guy. i love fries but i am picky… these are so amazing and they give these portions that require gastric bypass surgery next week, but so what… life is short. i go here after one of «those nights» when you’re at work and you need some grease. they have a freaking awesome veggie burger, add a coke, fries, and you’re ready for the weekend.
