Totally underwhelmed — and maybe given food poisoning. We’re new to the area and had heard good things from our new neighbors. Maybe they were just being passive aggressive. Tried the Marvelous brownies for Valentine’s Day breakfast and the predominate flavor was flour. Any chocolate present was indeed cleverly disguised. My wife, who lives and breathes chocolate, didn’t even finish hers. That says a lot. I never like to kiss a place off after one experience, so went back today for a ham and cheese panino. You can’t see what you’re getting because they’re wrapped when you select them a la 7-Eleven. Picked one at random, had it heated up, and ran home with it. Inside were a few slices of what were almost certainly packaged ham from the Safeway next door, two small slices of cheese, and several absolutely rotten to the point of being gooshy leaves of spinach. Unfortunately, I ate one before realizing what was going on. Only time will tell if I get sick from it. On top of all that, the thing was expensive — $ 6.99. I could have made a far better and far cheaper sandwich at home. Next time I will. Brownies, too.

With the Safeway right next door, I see absolutely no reason in going here. This place has overpriced little snacks and baked goods and coffees and I used to stop by here every once in a while because I had a friend living nearby. I would only go in here when I was with her because she liked it. I have had baguettes and croissants and coffee from here and while all were just fine, I could get the same thing from Safeway for half the price. Why is this place so expensive?! I’ll admit that there is a cute vibe inside but still not worth it for the money for me. I don’t understand why there are so many of these around for the prices they are charging.

Yup, the food here is totally overpriced for just being decent. But MM’s iced Chai tea latté is life-changing. Not to mention they offer a buy-six-get-one-free rewards card, where most places make you schlep to a dozen. Three cheers, and four stars, for MM’s iced Chai.

The staff is always really friendly and helpful. They have good pasta salads, muffins, local chips, and tea!

Came Here on our wedding day and ended up getting food poisoning from one of the prepared sandwiches(turkey). My wife spent her wedding night in front of the toilet. :(

Good place on a nice day to take advantage of their outdoor seating and a nice cup of coffee.

I’ve come here for lunch a few times, and I love their specialty sandwiches. All on delicious bread with different specialty toppings. Not just your average ham and cheese. My favorite so far was the Mediterranean sandwich, which had smoked turkey, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, arugula, and an olive paste. It was so flavorful!

I was looking for a great place to grab a cup of coffee in the morning and nosh, this wasn’t it ! The raisin danish was one of the best that I have had in DC. the coffee was good too. However, my friend had the Chocolate Coissant and it was very dissapointing. Almost no chocolate and it was run-of-the-mill chocolate too. On the plus side, the Coissant was very buttery which the birds outside really appreciated since she ended up feeding to them! Still searching.
