Love this place! Great for locals in the neighborhood with kids. Pizza is great and so are the brussel sprouts! Service has always been fine, I don’t know what people are complaining about and I’ve been here at least ten times.

The review is for the service, extremely incompetent. Sunday evening around 7 pm not too busy. We got a table outside and that was it, NOBODY came to take our drink order for about 15 min, then 15 more minutes later no sign of our drinks, we walk in and ask for the waiter to come and take our order because our toddler is about to have a melt down. Waiter comes out and heads to the 6+party next to our table. We get up and walk away. Never again.

We love this neighborhood pizza place. It’s our go to restaurant for an easy dinner with the kids. Great happy hour deals and friendly, fast service. Love that they now have tables outside. I’ve tried several different pizzas on the menu because I like to mix it up, but lately I’ve been hooked on the Stanton Park — I have definitely found my favorite. Can’t claim it’s the«best» pizza in DC but it is very, very good and the great service and neighborhood vibe takes it up a notch. I usually ask for my pizza a little on the well done side to avoid a soggy dough, especially in the center — but that’s my personal preference.

Service is great, and their food and specials are fantastic. I had one really attractive server who looked like Paul Rudd :)

They have some of the best sandwiches in town! The Eggplant Parmesan sandwich is to die for. I’ve yet to try the pizza, but since they use the same dough they should be great.

7th Hill is great for what it is. It’s a neighborhood pizza place. The pizza is really good, they have great salads and the kids really love the desert especially the Nutella calzone. Any of the people on Unilocal complaining about 7th Hill should have tried the old dump Palisades Pizza that used to reside in the same location. The old place was filthy, unfriendly and had very mediocre to bad food. 7th Hill is the opposite in each respect.

We love this place! Usually get take out a couple times a week and sit down for a meal once every couple of weeks. The service is always awesome and the pizza is outstanding! My go to is the MD ave. and potato prosciutto croquettes. Definitely stop by and try them!

Scarce cold ambiance, friendly staff but food. omg: started off ok, great oven, attention to detail, fresh ingredients. But, last 2 times I went recently, leaving a week in between just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke or weekend poor staff/cooks — it was burnt pizza, or soggy pizza, flavorless sauce, skimp toppings definitely not fresh. The menu is boring… you have a great oven, USEITWELL. How about varieties of schiaccias, focaccias, focaccia di recco, oven roasted lasagna, canelloni, casserole dishes, …be creative! Salads are bland at best.

I really like 7th Hill Pizza. I think the food is delicious and great quality ingredients. I am so happy to have a pizza place in the neighborhood again. 7th hill is definitely one of our frequent take out spots. I recommend both the pizza and the excellent sandwiches. My only complaint is that the pizza is a little small for the price. Would be great if 7th hill could have a few family-friendly promotions now and then, like buy one get one free!

If you don’t have kids, come after 7 pm when it is less hectic! Great pizza and a very nice staff.

Always solid. The staff is fantastic and always friendly! The pizza is delicious. NOTNY style, if that’s what you’re looking for. These others reviewers must have gone to a different restaurant. My family eats here usually once a week and we’ve never had a bad experience. Get the Nutella Calzone for dessert! SO good!

Check your orders — as on multiple occasions for take-out parts of the order were missing, and I had to drive back to pick up. Eating in is a good option, but don’t go when busy, if you can avoid, as staff get overworked and short tempered. Otherwise pizza and salads are usually generous and good value, but don’t go to 7th Hill for the service!

Okay, so, I am from the Jersey Shore where pizza is king. I thought the pizza tasted good, but was overpriced for the 7 and 12 inch. I couldn’t figure out the formula, why a 8 inch Garfield Park is cheaper than other 8 inch pizzas, yet the 12 inch Garfield Park is the same price as the other 12 inches pizzas? The same goes for the Union Station and Lincoln Park selections. Also, I left hungry. I ate a complete 12 inch pizza and still felt like I could eat more. For $ 15.95 per pie, that’s a little disappointing. As for service, the bartender was a really nice guy, and so was the owner or manager? Drinks: The prices for were typical for the DC area. By all means the Palisades needs a pizza place real bad, but the establishment does not deliver! Bummer! I would recommend this place for lunch; the sandwiches had a decent price point(although I did not see or taste them), and good for happy hour with reduced prices on plain pizza, beer and wine. But I wouldn’t recommend the place for dinner unless you want a light dinner. This is also not the type of pizza that would taste good the next day.

Just moved to Palisades and have been twice. Excellent variety of sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and desserts coupled with friendly service. I’m glad to know it’s so close by.

Not so much… I can’t say I am a fan of this place. I don’t care if it has been opened for 6 weeks… Their product is overpriced shit that isn’t worth a dime of my money. If I want better quality than this; I’ll go to the grocery store and get a frozen pizza for half the price and better quality. Must I say that staff don’t really pay attention to their customers, but rather twiddle on their cell phones behind the counter… Nope and nope. You won’t see me coming back here again.

We went to 7th Hill last week on the snow day — the Federal gov’t shut down but 7th Hill seemed to be fully staffed. I’m giving them an extra star just for that — impressive commitment to their new ‘hood when nearby restaurants had closed early or maybe not opened at all. The pizza was good, the service was warm and friendly. A shout out to Ted, who is both good at his job(maybe he’s the manager?) and also a great guy. We asked what a beech mushroom was and he actually brought one to show us. I was with more disciplined(or less sweet toothed) friends but next time I am hoping to try the nutella calzone. I’m also looking forward to checking out the happy hour. Welcome to the Palisades, 7th Hill! I think you’ll do great. Beyond a doubt a HUGE improvement over the previous pizzeria!

Décor is overall contemporary and fun. Manager was a little on edge running around trying to keep an eye on everything and train a young but very friendly staff. Pizza in NY style with thin but great tasting dough. Larger variety of topping. They also do sandwiches and salads. Great bar with usual bear and wine. No coffee, though, so hard to linger much at the end of the meal. Maybe it will come soon. All in all, a nice addition to the neighborhood. Contemporary, clean, cheery, solid pizza place. I think it will do well.
