I ordred Pete’s wanting a Pastrami sandwich. I also ordered fries and a Bacon cheeseburger to try. Well the cheeseburger came on two slices of toast and you could tell it was frozen junk. I could have made that crap a whole of a lot better in my home. The fries were rubbery and too soft. And the pastrami sandwich came cold (who eats pastrami cold???). I guess I should have stated I wanted it warm. The only thing that was good on the order was the fact that they substituted the cheese correctly. I have been a long time Unilocal browser and have never felt the need to register until I saw that this guy’s review from 4 years ago makes Pete’s Grill and Deli seem better than it is. Do Not order from this place.
Also, the delivery man did not even have any cash on him to give me and had to run to his car to get my change. Thumbs down all around for this place.

Pete’s Grill & Deli is a little downstairs diner on I street between 19 & 20 streets. They have a number of lunch specials, giving you a burger or sandwich, fries and a 20oz soda for $ 6.72.
I ordered the Californian chicken. The burger was kind of small, but was very nice. It was a kind of herb grilled chicken breast. How this is considered Californian I have no idea. The fries were pretty average, not really cooked properly.
They also had a decent selection of takeaway fish and chips. Might be worth checking out in the future. Finally, the service was fast and the place was nice and clean.
