Pizza Movers and Calzones

Super fast delivery. Was starving at 3am. Nice fresh and hot ! Cheesy yummy pizza. Boneless Buffalo wings were pretty good too. I don’t order pizza much at all but I will order from here again when I do.

Pizza Movers and Calzones is a small pizza shop located in Georgetown. I’ve always been curious about this place, as I thought at first, it was a ‘moving company’ :P They offer a variety of appetizers (such as fries, onion rings, garlic bread, etc.), salads, calzones, pastas, gyros, subs, and pizzas. I placed a phone order for a delivery for their special pizza deal, where you get 3 medium pizzas up to 1 topping, at under $ 6 each! The pizzas themselves came piping hot, and while the request of slicing the pizzas into squares were not adhered to, the taste of these slices more than made up for it — they were super cheesy, had a tangy sauce, and it was a good dense crust. I ordered these for a little party, and they were a hit — the attendees all thought they were super delicious! Staff were super friendly, and they also have an online ordering system. Make sure you check out their deals and specials for extra savings!

I ordered the Gyro Sandwich and my man ordered 2 jumbo slices and mozzarella sticks. The food came fast but the delivery person was so rude and barely even said bye to me. He grunted and walked away. My boyfriend tried the mozzarella sticks but they weren’t melty, they just harden and had the texture and flavor was like styrofoam. The pizza was dry. The gyro was a shame. Came looking like a burrito (which I know some Gyros do) but this looked horrible and tasted just as bad. I will never order from

I really used to love this place, but it seems to not be the same as it was 4 – 5 years ago. The pizza came pretty much on time but the delivery guy didn’t even get out of his car, I had to meet him downstairs outside of my apt. Plus, the pizza seems to have changed a bit — maybe the cheese has changed or something. My girlfriend wasn’t pleased at all and I was pretty bummed that I’d talked it up so much.

Do NOT order from this sad excuse for a business. I never received my pizza, was never refunded the money, and had to disputed the charge via my credit card.
Wish I would have looked on Unilocal first as I would have clearly seen what a dump this place is…

The pizza was completely subpar & tasteless. How can you mess up a basic medium pepperoni pizza?
The driver was extremely rude & I specifically asked for napkins & no napkins.

Most delivery men are very rude and greedy. The worst wings i have ever tasted in my life. Pizza was good.

Ordered spaghetti with meatballs, and chicken tenders for the boys. The tenders and the garlic bread that came with the pasta was burnt. This was not a slightly charred piece of food. These were absolutely burnt. When I called back to tell the manager. I was informed he wasn’t there and to call back the next day. So disappointing. I will spend my money somewhere else.

Do NOT order from this place. They charged our credit card TWICE, refused to refund, and never sent the pizza.
When we first called to inquire about the pizza (one hour after ordering) they said it was «a few minutes away.» It was raining, so we were understanding. Twenty minutes later, we called again, and magically, our order had disappeared. They offered no apologies, and tried to take a different card number to charge AGAIN. We declined, only to find out later they’d charged our card twice. Called again, and the manager insisted that losing our order (we had the confirmation number and everything) was «not his fault» and hung up on us.
Very rude, completely unacceptable.

Took over an hour for pizza delivery. Pizza was cold and not good. Cheese sticks were gross, cold and tasted like they were frozen. I ordered cake and got the wrong kind. The only good parts were the decent chicken fingers and the fact that they delivered the correct cake when I called about the issue. The delivery guy was also really nice.

Jumbo slice is just that jumbo $ 4.35 but when the pizza is reheated it was difficult to chew the closer I got to the crust. I wasn’t happy about that I wanted eat it all…

During the snow storm yesterday, i ordered a greek salad as well as rice pudding. The salad was okay — the pepperoncinis were stale but overall the salad was ok.
The rice pudding however, was delicious! i think i only had a couple of bites of the salad and devoured the whole rice pudding. MORE PLEASE!

Great find one slice is equal to two slices. Great for a quick fix to grab a bite. We paid $ 11.00 for four slices and one soda.

This place is kind of hit or miss. They do some things really well, but not always, and they do some easy things pretty poorly.
I think it is above average for DC pizza (and this is from a Northeast girl who knows what pizza is supposed to taste like). I like their white pizza better than their regular pizza, but both are usually decent. That being said, I once got bacon that was super suspicious and ended up picking it off my pizza. Their fries, onion rings, and cheesesteaks are all really good. I like they they have Coke Zero instead of just Diet Coke. However, I have also had to throw food away from here: their sweet and sour wings and chicken parm sub were atrocious and inedible (and chicken parm subs are so easy and standard that this makes this restaurant all the more confusing). In general, I’d recommend it, but you’re never quite sure what is going to happen when you try something new.

Like others said, Delivery is indeed fast! I think faster than most other pizza joints. I wasn’t impressed by the pizza though. When pizza got cold, the pizza got very hard. I’m not sure if I will order it again unless I need pizza ASAP

Pizza Movers not only provides delicious pizza, but is also extremely reliable! I’ve ordered from them a few times so far and they’re quick, friendly, and very efficient. I love their large all veggie pizzas — the toppings are always fresh and plentiful.
I know my go-​to delivery place for pizzas from now on! Pizza Movers is simply the best.
