Absolutely incredible pretzels — soft, moist, with a delicious buttery taste, all for just $ 3. Probably the best I’ve ever had.

Came across this stall in the middle of a 65 mile bike ride and the pretzel was amazing. Will need to try it on a regular day to compare notes but considering I’m still thinking of it fondly 6 hours later, I think I’ll be a fan regardless. ps: everything on the menu(drinks and pretzels) is $ 3, which is cheap for DC!

Cash only. Three dollar drinks. Totally worth it. The made from scratch limeade is #*$&*$-ing amazing. The pretzel bites we taste tested were great too. Any time we are at the market, we plan to look for them on a hot day!

Who can resist the smell of some fresh pretzels? Well I guess if you have self-control but I don’t know what that is when it comes to food. The fresh, buttery and hot pretzel dough wrapped around that juicy hot dog was delish! But what was even better was their lemonade with fresh-squeezed strawberries. I drank the whole thing in like 5 minutes because it was so good but I wasn’t willing to pay another $ 8 for it. You can also get a limeade or orangeade with a choice of strawberries or raspberries. Pretty good choice I made standing in line for these. Yum!

Keep On With The Force Don’t Stop Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough –Michael Jackson Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough 1979 Who can resist the smell of butter and carbs? The smell is intoxicating and it really twists my pretzel in all the right ways. Damn you, stomach. When I become summer carb-o-phobic, I trick my fear and quench my sweet tooth with a large helping of Orangeade. SAT Question: If orange is to healthy, then unhealthy is to simple syrup. Answer: shut up. It has oranges… and vitamin C. On hot days I can’t stop at one drink and on cooler days I can’t stop myself from sucking it down. No matter what time of year, they are the perfect adjunct to pretzel or a selection from nearby crepeire.

I was craving a pretzel, and Pretzel Twist was staring at me, so I clearly caved. I ordered an original pretzel($ 3). They also had pretzel hot dogs, and just about everybody in front of me also ordered one of the drinks(such as the lemonade or limeade). They had different flavored pretzels, but I stuck with the original. My pretzel was fresh and hot– they had just finished cooking the batch a second ago– and buttery. The salt wasn’t spread as evenly as I would have liked, with a quarter of the pretzel missing salt. It wasn’t the best pretzel I’ve ever had, but it was pretty good and it satisfied my craving.(I haven’t seen many pretzel places in the area, and I’ve been missing them since I moved here from Philly). There are also comfortable benches nearby to sit and enjoy your pretzel. If you’re in the area and craving a pretzel, definitely stop by Pretzel Twist!

The best pretzels I have ever had! And that’s saying something because I have never liked pretzels. But these are amazing. They’re made right in front of you! Also all the drink selections(lemonade, limeade, and orangeade) are amazing as well — those are also made in front of you and they will add strawberry purée for free! $ 3 pretzels, $ 3 drinks, you can’t beat it!

Some of the best pretzels I’ve ever had! I have become addicted and aim to go to Eastern Market every weekend to get one. I got the strawberry limeade last week and it was very tasty, can’t wait to try a different one next week!

BEST pretzel I have ever had. Always hot and fresh and buttery. Don’t forget to get a fresh squeezed Strawberry/raspberry/plain lemonade or limeade or both. Even when there is a long line, the people working there don’t rush you and they’re friendly. Make sure you go around the eastern market building to get this delicious treat.

There’s almost nothing better than spending a weekend afternoon at Eastern Market. And one of the first places we go upon arrival at the market(after the Ashton Farms fruit table) is Pretzel Twist. Although it may seem strange to give a pretzel stand a 5 star review, there is literally no better pretzel out there. These are the most sumptuous, soft, and buttery pretzels, baked fresh right before your eyes. It’s rare to get there and not see them taking a new batch from the oven. And if you want something a little more wholesome, you can’t go wrong with their delicious, cheesy pretzel dogs. There’s a cinnamon pretzel too, but if you only have room for one pretzel, definitely go for the original. Aside from the pretzels, this is also a great place to get freshly squeezed lemonade. If you’re looking for something different, they have a lineup of great fruit flavors to add into the mix. Pureed strawberries and raspberries as well as oranges and limes. The strawberry lemonade is the absolute best way to wash down your warm, salty pretzel. Our favorite food vendor at Eastern Market.

I love this guys’ lemonade: I ask it sugar-free and, unlike most lemonade stands, they do make it sugar-free for me. They also make a delicious pretzel dog: dough is tender and buttery. Yummmm.

Buttery, doughy & salty goodness. Great pretzels made EXTREMELY fresh for the perfect snack at the Eastern Market. $ 3 could be a little cheaper, but it was delicious. Perfect side snack while waiting for Crepes.

Food/Cost:(4⁄5) The limeades($ 3) here are amazing. They’re freshly squeezed and a true thirst quencher. I have two guy friends who swear the pretzels here are the best they’ve ever had. I’ve had the hot dog pretzel here and it was pretty tasty. Makes for a delicious portable meal. Ambiance:(3⁄5) This is a food booth that pops up for the Eastern Market on weekends, so there’s not much ambiance to write about. Decent enough… Location:(5⁄5) The Pretzel Twist is only around on the weekends when the outdoor Eastern Market is up and running. You can find them outside the Eastern Market building, on the northwest side, facing North Carolina Avenue. I really enjoy coming to this area on Saturday or Sunday when the flea market and outdoor markets are operating. There are plenty of food, jewelry, and clothing booths to peruse. There are also plenty of café and restaurants in the area. And to top it off, the Eastern Market metro stop is just a block south and street parking isn’t terribly hard to find in the area. Service:(4⁄5) I’ve been here twice now and each time the guys taking orders and making the drinks are pretty nice and courteous. They also get through the line pretty quickly, despite having to make each drink fresh when ordered. Impressive. Overall:(4⁄5) If you want a drink or a snack while at the Eastern Market, I would definitely recommend The Pretzel Twist. The stuff here is good and cheap!
