Now I get it — Sav-On — as in save losts of $. When I saw the sign I actually thought it was«Savon» as in French for soap, and given the general gentrification that has gone on in the neighborhood I was expecting a store devoted to obsure French liquors. I imagined rows upon rows of Absinthe, hard to find Armanacs, Cognacs, and maybe even that French malt whiskey I have been trying to track down, to say nothing of Pernod and Lillet a-go-go. Alas, it was not to be. The only liquor this place sells is quarter bottles of vodka, bourbon and tequila from behind the counter. They also sell large quantities of cheap beer in large bottles and they have plenty of cheap wine.
