The line moves pretty quickly and there’s plenty of TVs around so you won’t miss any action while waiting. Food was great, as always, but extremely pricey. Spent $ 53 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 drinks, but I guess the Nats have to get their cut too. Only wish Shake Shack wasn’t on the 200 level since I had to walk all the way around the stadium, then up to the ramps. By the time I got back to my seats, food was cool, so maybe next time I will try to eat it in the seating area if there’s room.

My first Shake Shack experience EVER! It has been a place that I have been wanting to try for ages, and I finally got to give it a go while at a Nats game. The line is insanely long, but if you’re like me and more interested in the food rather than the game, you might not mind. The menu is limited, but has your basics: the burgers, fries, shakes, and sadly only 1 flavor of concrete(it didn’t appeal to me). Since the Shack is at a ball field, the prices are much higher, which is definitely a downfall. Our meal of 2 burgers, 1 fry, and a shake was over $ 30 :/After waiting in the long line, I wasn’t too concerned about the price-I was ready to try this! I kept it traditional with a Shack Burger, fries, and a Black and White Shake. The burger was perfectly cooked and flavorful-a really nice burger! The fries were crinkle cut… what else can I say other than yum? And the shake was creamy and refreshing-I guess it’s called black and white because it’s not fully chocolate, and not fully vanilla-a mix between the two. The shake was also perfect for fry-dipping(I can’t be the only one that does this!) Overall, if you don’t mind waiting and spending a pretty penny, Shake a Shack @ Nats stadium is a good game grub choice, and I hope to try other locations and their concretes in the future!

Just like the cleanup hitter anchors a solid batting lineup, Shake Shack anchors the solid lineup of concessions options on the scoreboard walk at Nationals Park. It’s a known quantity, reliable, always comes through in the clutch. You already know you love those crinkle-cut fries and their awesome milkshakes, no unpleasant surprises. The burgers and dogs might not be up to your backyard BBQ standards but they’ll still outclass most other ballpark fare. Yeah, the lines can get out of control and the prices are a little steep, so this might not be your first choice at every single game, but it’s definitely worth treating yourself once in a while.

It took :45 mins, or 2 whole innings, to get to the front of the line. One of those experiences where you’re commiserating w/people in line around you and trying to figure out what the heck is going on. It definitely had something to do w/slow food delivery. The register staff were basically waiting for more burgers etc to come up. Is there a way to take other orders while waiting for the next batch to come up? Also, my line mate said it works better when there are designated food carriers who deliver to the registers. She also said it’s special orders(re the sauce) that messes things up. The kid in charge of directing people to open registers was not on his game, too busy watching the game. We had to keep catching his attention.

I went to a Nats game with friends about a week ago for a special alumni happy hour and got free food at Shake Shack. Sweet! I had previously had Ben’s Chili Bowl at Nats Stadium and I’d had Shake Shack before in DC and NYC, but I’d never tried the Shake Shack at Nats Park and decided to give it a go. The line was horrendously long and it took a while, but they try to be as efficient as possible, I think. I ordered a Shack burger and criss cut fries on the side. Instead, I received a mushroom burger with no fries… I had to go back and exchange my order, which was somewhat of a pain because it was so unbearably crowded. I got the food I ordered in the end and it was decently tasty. I’ve had better food at Shake Shack previously(the Dupont location in DC is still my favorite), so I wouldn’t write home about this particular location at Nats Stadium, but it was tasty enough and good for a ball game.

Even if you have to wait 30+ minutes, it’s worth it. Get a beer from the stand in the middle while you wait in line at pre-game prices.

Is it good yes, but it’s 45 minutes in the line, that’s 3 innings. If you want it that bad go to Union Station. Maybe come before the game, but kind of self defeating.

Spent about 45 minutes in line last night from 6:45 — 7:30PM to get a Shake Stack, a side of fries with cheese(which I got charged extra for extra cheese even though it was just the original cheese to go with the fries), and a large non-souvenir soda. The grand total for this — $ 21 and change. Granted, my mushroom/regular burger was hot and melty and good but it wasn’t good enough to justify the inflated prices for everything at the ballpark. I also didn’t appreciate the attitude I got from the cashiers who were having drama with their supervisors and taking it out on me. Menu is extremely limited compared to their locations and also about 25% higher in price. Will not return to this stand the next time I am at Nats Park.

Service is quick, the menu is simple(probably helps support the former)/ The Shackburger is small(–ish) but does the job !

We only had the shakes and they were good but wow what a line! Could be 4-stars if line was shorter.

I only got the Shack Burger(double) but I gotta say it was awesome. Line is LONG but they move you Fast. Definitely recommend, even if you have to walk for it! It’s worth it.

Getting a Shake Shack burger WAS one of my favorite things when seeing a game at Nats Park. Unfortunately, it takes over an entire inning to get thought the line! The last time they ran out of cooked burgers while 50 orders of fries sat on the counter cooling off. This is what the 5th season SS has been at Nats Park? You would think they would have figured out a better system by now! This was NEVER an issue when Five Guys was there. Now Don’t get me wrong… I love a Shake Shack burger but until they can speed the process Shake Shack Nats Park and are divorced.

Yes the line is long. If that bothers you then just go somewhere else. Don’t get in line and bitch about it the entire time. You’re standing in this line because you want a damn ShackBurger. Not because it’s the best burger on earth. Because you are at a game and nothing goes better with baseball & beer than a burger & fries. So get your beer first, then get in line. Once you get to the counter you will only wait a minute or so for your food because they are cranking out these burgers like there’s no tomorrow.

I went to D.C. knowing I wanted to try Shake Shack, so I thought I’d plan it into our night at the Nationals Ballpark. I don’t know if the food here is different than the other locations being that it is in a ballpark, but I certainly enjoyed my meal. There are two separate lines, one for burgers and other hot food, and one for just shakes. We got into line about an hour before the game started, and we had our food in under 10 minutes. I could see how the line was set up for more people though, and I can imagine it gets pretty long closer to game time. My burger was moist, tasty and not too greasy. It was also a reasonable size to eat without feeling stuffed. Crinkle cut fries are my all time favorite french fry, so I was biased on the happy side with their fries. Also, try the black and white shake. It’s chocolate and vanilla and unlike any other shake I’ve had, super delicious. Two thumbs up!

Shake Shack at Nationals Park is soooo not worth it. Before waiting in line for a burger here, ask yourself these 5 questions: 1) Is this food really worth waiting for?(The burgers and fries are actually incredibly pedestrian.) 2) Why miss as much as 20% of the ball game waiting in line?(Shake Shack typically has the longest lines at Nationals Park.) 3) Why come here and choose food you can get any day of the week?(Shake Shack has 5 locations in DC without the insane lines.) 4) Why pay a huge premium for a little burger?(Shake Shack charges 44% more for the same items at their Nationals Park location). 5) Can you name at least 8 stands on the Nationals Park main concourse with better food and shorter lines?(Yes! Max’s Kosher Grill, Bullpen Burritos, G Sandwich Shop by Mike Isabella, Jammin Island BBQ, Chesapeake Crab Cake Company, Triple Play Grill, Hard Times Café, Hometown Pretzel)

This was my second visit to Shake Shack at the Nats park. I must say that I tried giving it a second chance but it did not wow me at all. The line is super long all the time. I ordered the single cheeseburger with cheese fries and my husband ordered the double with regular fries. They messed up our order the first round and forgot my husband’s burger. When my husband received his«correct» burger, it was still made wrong. We didn’t want to wait anymore and decided to just head back to our seats. Also, when I want to waste my calories on a fattening cheesy fries side, I expect it to be worth it. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much cheese to the cheesy fries. My burger tasted like it came from McDonalds. I’m not sure if this location isn’t all that great or if it’s chain wide. I plan on exploring the other dining options the next time I’m at the ball park.

This is probably more of an indictment of the Nats Park food quality than admiration of the food here. I don’t like their mayo-based sauce or the American cheese so I have to custom order my burger sans cheese or sauce. The downside is I have to wait longer than most, the upside is I’m guaranteed a fresh burger each time. The burgers are fairly tasty for a ballpark and are worth a try by ballpark standards. By Nats Park standards, this place tends to be one of my go to options. Lines can be long but they do move pretty quickly. Again, the long lines here tend to showcase the lameness of the nearby food stands.

The Shake Shack stand at Nationals Stadium is definitely the most popular food vendor… which always translates into really long lines. Despite the inevitable wait, the staff is typically really helpful and quick to serve you up your favorite artery-clogging, zillion-calorie meal(and every calorie tastes soooo gooooood). Get here EARLY to avoid the line — the last two times I was here we decided to wait until halfway through the game which was a big bummer. If you are just ordering a drink, remember that — just like other Shake Shack locations — there is a separate line just for shakes and other drinks. This location definitely deserves 4 stars because of how awesome the staff was to me when I came here 8 months pregnant and really, really needed a shake(I mean, I always can use a shake, but at this point I needed one more desperately!). When I got to the front of the«C» line(for drinks), I was told they were ALLOUT of black and whites shakes. The horror! Another worker came over and, seeing my immense despair, made it a priority to get my shake — I don’t know what she did but I left shortly thereafter with a tasty creamy treat to satisfy my cravings. I really like that there is a nice grassy area adjacent to this location so if you come with a kiddo or two, it is easier(in my experience, anyway) to chow down here than to lug everything back to your seat and chance spilling something on yourself… or someone else! I echo everyone else who says that given the immense demand, there should be a second outpost in the stadium… perhaps someday! In the meantime, be early to beat the line.

So I love Shake Shack. The one in Dupont is by far my favorite location and despite being an absolute carnivore, I actually order the Shroom Burger every time I go. It’s a portobello mushroom that is stuffed with muenster and cheddar cheese and then deep fried. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, and their creamy Shack Sauce. ITISSOGOOD and I’m sure every vegetarian out there who has tried agrees with me. I’m also a sucker for the fries topped with melted cheese(extra fat) and their frozen custard, which is phenomenal. Why I’m giving this specific Shake Shack at the Nationals Stadium three stars is because they have a lot of burgers pre-made beforehand. And when I got my Shroom burger this time it wasn’t that warm and the cheese wasn’t oozing out like all of my experiences at the Dupont location on Connecticut in the past. I think that’s the one flaw with having to make a lot of the food beforehand.
