The first several times I had Sicilian I was pleased with the pizza, calzones, and salad. The last few times have been sadly not as amazing as I’ve branched out to a cheesesteak, a Greek salad, and more recently chicken«fingers» and fries. I say, please just stick with the pizza and calzones. I’ve been somewhat grossed out by the feeling in my stomach after eating the chicken and fries, and even the Greek salad a couple weeks ago. Just. Don’t.

Super quick delivery from GrubHub(granted, I live right down the street)! Paninis are HUGE and delicious – definitely 2 meals’ worth of food. I’ve had the roasted eggplant and portabella sandwiches, and I love them both. They’re not really ‘paninis’ in that they’re not pressed or grilled, but the bread is substantial, and they’re not in the least bit greasy. The portabella sandwich could use more mushrooms, but it basically breaks down to $ 4 a meal, so I’m not complaining. Plus, they come with free chips! I also like the hummus, and it comes with a ton of pita. Skip the spinach dip. It’s basically mayonnaise and sour cream with frozen spinach. Not my jam. I have never been here in real life, and I’ve never had the pizza(I’m leery from some of the reviews), but if you want a cheap hot sandwich delivery place, this might just fit the bill.

Tough to pick a rating for Sicilian Pizza. On one hand, it’s my neighborhood spot, always there for me when I want a panini in a pinch. I also recently learned that their cannoli rivals that of Isgro, which is no small feat. But… on the other hand, the panini can be inconsistent, the pizza sometimes rubbery, and the wings disappointing. It’s not as wildly different as NY Pizza(Penn Ave SE), but it’s just not always great. What it is good for is the pizza, and actually now that I think about it, the calzones are really good, too. The panini are okay, sometimes they are great(especially when you aren’t feeling pizza), but sometimes they use different ingredients(like, dude, I know that prosciutto looks/tastes like… this is straight ham), which can make it inconsistent. Sometimes they throw in a free, individually-wrapped slice of cheese pizza. We haven’t been able to figure out what the common factor is there, but it’s always a welcome surprise. Definitely a worthwhile pizza spot in the area, better than the others near H St. Treat yourself and get the cannoli, too. It’s even better with coffee the next morning!

This was terrible. The absolute worst pizza I’ve ever had. One commenter said gas station pizza was better. I’d have to agree. My partner and I laughed and joked(but we’re honestly pretty upset after spending $ 25 on a really really shitty pizza. 7 – 11 has better pizza. The crust was the only thing that saved this horrible pie. Salty ass ham? Globs of cheese? The least amount of sauce you can think of? We joked several times about calling to send the pizza back. Let me stress. Worst pizza I’ve ever had. Ever. I wish we had taken a picture. A disgusting mess.

This is the worst pizza I have ever eaten. And just to be clear, I mean that Sicilian Pizza’s pizza is worse than pizza that comes from gas stations. At least shitty greaselump pizza tastes like something. This whole fucking pizza could have been made out of different textured tofus for all the flavor it had. The sauce seems to be nothing more than a tomato that someone squeezed above the crust. The meats were all unholy vacuums of non-flavor. How do they even find pepperoni that doesn’t taste like anything?! THATSWEIRD. Nothing had any seasoning in it. We threw the whole thing out and are now contemplating whether or not eating a bag of pita chips is better than just skipping dinner. To add injury to insult, this shit is expensive.

Best takeout pizza in DC, hands down. It seems when ordering pizza in DC, you either have to go to a gourmet restaurant, or Manny and Olgas, but there is no in-between. This is the spot, crust is great, toppings are fresh, and cheese is on point. The lady helping us was very friendly, and when we ordered a medium cheese pie, she pointed us to their specials which for the same price allowed us to get a large two-topping. I’ll be back.

Sicilian Pizza has been our go-to pizza delivery for years: above-average pies, great Greek salad, decent prices and consistent service. Tonight when I glanced over at the slice on my two-year-old son’s plate, I noticed a baked-in roofing nail sticking out of the crust. I called to report it, and received a perfunctory apology, an offer for a new pie(which I declined), then a «well, what do you want me to do?» An offer of a full refund would have gone a long ways towards making this situation better. It was not made. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Terrible delivery service. Delivery guy was at the wrong hotel after specific instructions was written in the delivery notes. On top of that the pizza was cold. There were no napkins or plastic ware for the salad. Do not order out here unless you want cold food.

My pizza arrived within the Unilocal predicted time-window. It was hot and made exactly how I ordered it. The delivery man was courteous and had enough change to break a $ 5. That having been said, with the delivery fee and tip, I spent $ 21 on a very small pizza that tastes like upscale DiGiorno’s. It was serviceable and I’ll probably order from them again, just manage your expectations.

After reading the reviews, I’m confused. I’m left to believe that it’s a bunch of entitled white people that don’t understand the difference between delivery pizza from a delivery joint and a James Beard restaurant. I’ve sampled many of the options in the Capitol Hill/NE area and they’re all crap. Mostly overpriced NONFOOD that takes way too long.(60 – 90 minutes to go a few blocks is long) But this is the third time I order from Sicilian Pizza and for the third time it’s great. It actually has the consistency of a NY slice and they don’t skimp on toppings. It was hot and intact delivered by a very nice man. When I placed the order, the lady on the phone was super nice. She had the«attitude» of someone dealing with jerks complaining about stupid things maybe… But she was not only very nice but offered me a deal on my order. The small salad was a healthy portion and very fresh. The entire order was on point. I don’t know why I tried the other places, this is now my go to pizza delivery spot. If it takes a little longer to get someone on the phone on the weekend or even for the delivery, consider that everyone else is ordering pizza on a Friday night before you blast the place.

At work and starving because I left my lunch at home in the fridge UGH!,…so i decided to order Sicilian pizza and man oh man this pizza was oh so good. I got the one large two topping pizza w/10 wings and a 2liter special. My toppings were spinach, pineapples and Italian sausage. pizza was great wings even greater and I am extremely satisfied. I tipped on my card. When the driver brought my food he was so nice I tipped again just because and now that I have completed my meal I’m glad I did. Keep up the good work Sicilian Pizza!!!

After years of ordering tonight was the end. After being told a simple order(one calzone, 20 wings and chicken tenders) would take 45 – 60 minutes I called after 70 minutes and was told a mistake was made with the order. Fine. After 20 more minutes the driver arrived and when we asked him to call for some kind of compensation for the lateness, he drove away confused. Calls to the store were busy signals. Lots of he said she said with the order taker on the phone resulted in me throwing my hands up canceling altogether and saying never again. Terrible customer service. Let people know what the problem is, offer to do the right thing. Do not complain that you’re busy and constantly keep people on hold. It’s a shame because the food is tasty.

Really good Pizza! Prompt delivery and did I say great pizza! We ordered 15 plain pizzas for an event and they were fantastic! I had several people from the burbs in MD and they said they’re coming back. The cheese was perfectly melty and the crust had just the right crispness. the sauce was delicious. We have lots of choices when it comes to pizza and this is one of my favs!

Just ordered pizza for delivery tonight, via Unilocal’s online ordering, and received my delivery within 45 – 50 minutes. Pizza came piping hot, toppings and extra sauce as requested. Not the best pizza ever but it was pretty damn good, so I’m not sure why people are hating on these nice people! The one thing I will say about pizza places is that, like the jumbo slice type joints, the late night pizza is NEVER good. But when you order pre-midnight drunkie pizza, it’s going to be their true pizza quality and from the places I’ve ordered from, it’s pretty decent. So please keep that in mind when you post or read reviews for my favorite food-if it was normal delivery/take out or if it was late night, we make it as fast as we can and therefore, quality goes down a bit, pizza. I’d definitely order from here again!

This place is insane! I like to order a large pizza, half pepperoni and sausage, half feta, spinach, and bacon.(This isn’t listed explicitly on their online menu, but they are happy to do it.) The wings are also amazing! Meaty, always served hot and perfectly cooked, great flavor. Be warned, they don’t always answer the phone and delivery sometimes takes quite a while. However, when the pizza arrives you won’t be disappointed.

ugh! I am so mad at this place. I ordered a large Cesar salad and it sad it would come with two grape leaves and a piece of garlic bread. I didn’t get these. I was looking forward to them! also I ordered through Grubhub where it says my address through current location so my address is correct and the guy drove to NW instead of NE. it took 2 hours to get my SALAD. food was fine, but everything else sucked. definitely not ordering from here again.

Please put your money elsewhere for pizza. I have never had so bad of pizza in my life. It was bland, soft and gummy from being undercooked, was in desperate need of salt, desperate need of of more sauce. I put up a picture just to show how little sauce there was. Just don’t waste your money. Their cheesecake was decent though. Idk how that happens. That’s why they got 2 stars. I just want to point out that I have had government issued school lunch pizza that has been better than this. I was so angry at this pizza that I threw a slice at the wall. Just don’t buy from here.

I don’t even want to provide one star. Not only were they over 40 min late… The margarita pizza was cold and not a traditional margarita pizza at all. The spinach feta triangles were burnt and the chicken tenders, well they really were not chicken tenders. I paid over $ 40 and tipped before hand since I ordered via EAT24. Not happy.

—— Review update for 2015: I’m not sure exactly when or how this place went downhill since 2013, but whatever happened, the quality has seriously declined. On February 28, 2015, I ordered a take-out pizza while helping someone move into a new place. The pizza was picked up 10 minutes after ordering. It was cold and the topping had been carelessly thrown on after the pizza was cooked, rather than cooked with the pizza. Sicilian Pizza went from the best to a big… fat… fail.

Solid. Especially compared to what you can get in Capitol Hill in terms of pizza delivery. We opted for the typical tomato sauce(will get crazy next time with the RRP) on the Supremo, no olives. They followed those instructions perfectly well, which is certainly not a given with delivery from anywhere. The sauce was a little on the sweet side, but that good just be my poor, ill taste buds talking. The pizza was not exactly hot on arrival, but warm, and the crust(traditional, I suppose) a nice, chewy but not-to-dense mouthful. None of that [soggy] cracker business I get from Dominoe’s. The wings — BBQ-style, I think — were also quite tasty and arrived with blue cheese, as requested. Next time I’ll see whether they might be willing to limit the selection to wings only, no drumsticks, as I found the wings to be a good deal juicier. You would think we live in Siberia, however, as seriously any place we order delivery from takes at least an hour, minimum, mind you, to arrive at our doorstep. Even our all-time, hands-down favorite places, so I’m not going to *really* count this again Sicilian … but it took about 1 hour 20 minutes(actually, I think a big longer), for our food to arrive. My husband finally gave them a ring and they said it’d be delivered within 10 minutes, no other updates or apologies. I suppose I should be happy they DO deliver to our house. They were right — the delivery guy showed up about 2 minutes later. Very polite. I think you can get free breadsticks when you order online but you have to be sure to select that offer, which my hubs didn’t. So, give that a try.
