I really need to start writing something besides 5-star reviews, but this one is way overdue.. . About 1.5 years ago, we were advised to have our son evaluated for certain issues, and the results of the evaluation indicated that occupational therapy might be helpful. Due to our schedule, we could only consider two providers and ultimately chose Skills on the Hill because they had weekend appointments available. His therapist, Becca, is simply amazing. She was so caring, thoughtful, and patient with him(and his parents!), and he’s a happier and better adjusted kid than he was a year ago. I know some of it is related to his getting older and maturing, but I’m also absolutely certain that the skills and exercises she taught him have allowed him to process his emotions, control his body, and relate to and interact with others in a much more positive way. So parents: if someone suggests OT for your kid, don’t freak out; just get your kid to Skills on the Hill. Your child will love playing with all the cool toys and equipment(for us it was the ballpit and the swing), and at the very least, you’ll have an hour of relative peace while someone else deals with your kid.(JK: I love my kids, really.)
