Driving from FL to NJ we have stopped in Starbycks on each state. This is the worst! The cashier had such a bad attitude, he got our order bad twice, we waited for more than 10 minutes to get 2 frappuccinos that came all wrong twice! The aldy offered changing them, but it was just so frustrating!

This is probably the worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to. The Small Vanilla Latte that I ordered didn’t take nothing like how it should taste. I order the same one cup of coffee at Starbucks all the time and was disgusted with this visit. The coffee was warm even though it was just made. The second cup tasted old and the vanilla really didn’t taste like vanilla at all. This Starbucks is out of date compared to the newer up to date Starbucks that offer wireless charging on the tables and stands. I’m used to being able to charge my phone using one of the wireless circles you can find at nearly every Starbucks near me in the New York area. For Washington DC to be such a wealthy city and state, I don’t see how their Starbucks could be so out of date. I will admit that the bathrooms were clean and the comfortable seating along the side of the wall with the cushion is a nice touch. Nice for sitting a little longer than just 10 minutes.

I’ll make it simple: The staff here is too busy chatting with each other and not paying attention to what they’re doing. This morning I found a foot-long hair in my drink. Pictures attached. If I was looking for a protein boost, I’d go to Jamba Juice.

Coffee is coffee and there isn’t really much to review in how the drinks are made since for me I only get either a drip coffee or an iced coffee, however this review will be based on the shady way they ring up there customer orders. I’ve been ordering an iced coffee from from this location a couple of times and decide by chance to try a different location. When I went in a refill of iced coffee the woman noticed that on the cup it was written for a «cold brew» which is about $ 0.50 more than an iced coffee. It didn’t dawn on me why the coffee was more expensive becuase the price of the drink wasn’t the issue. The issue was that I was being charged more for a drink that I did not order. That is some shady sh*t. I recommend the Starbucks around the corner, right by the metro. The staff is super friendly and they will charge you for the right amount for your drink orders.

It is great to find a Starbuck’s open on a Sunday in the area of The White House — so many eateries are closed because the businesses in the area are closed for the weekend. The store is spotless and the staff is friendly. Outside seating is available, but you can’t beat the air conditioning on a hot day. Typical communal tables, couches and small tables are available for all, no matter what your taste in seating.

I normally go to Starbucks on 20th& E Street, but today there was a sign that they were closed due to plumbing issue. I had to have coffee, so I walked to the nearest one which was 17th Ave & Pennsylvania. Very fast service here. I didn’t mind the walk, so I will definitely return here too.

Who bothers to write a review on Starbucks? Is there really much to debate here? Well, after my Saturday experience, I feel compelled to do so. I had to work on one of the first nice Saturdays of the year, so I rolled into Starbucks to get the day started off right. Or so I thought. 3 people working. One taking orders, one making coffee, one messing with food. Please believe it took 20 minutes for 4 people to move through the line and get their coffee(no bulk orders). I have no idea why the 3rd employee wasn’t assisting with the coffee making. Perhaps she’s not trained to make the coffee? Tell me that Starbucks has more than one barrista working in each location. The lack of efficiency had every customer on edge, looking at watches, giving each other side glances, letting out dramatic sighs. Overall, I’m happy to pay a premium in dollars, not time, for Starbucks coffee. 20 minutes for an Americano with 4 patrons ahead of me is ridiculous.

Walking distance from work in downtown and this place seems to be making a conscious effort to improve the environment and their service. One time they mixed up my food order, they immediately offered to make the proper item. At first I was not a big fan, but the people here have been really awesome lately.

Nice people, however they are most likely to charge you when you go in for a coffee refill saying, «It’s been over an hour or you left the building». What they don’t get is that I buy something to go with that coffee when i get a refill, but with Corner Bakery, Brown Bag and many other places within 100 feet distance, I’ll go there instead.

I have to give it 4 stars. They had super hospitality. First of all I am sure we had BO. We were walking around DC in a heat wave and I was shocked to find out there were no ice cream trucks(other than mass produced garbage) and there were no frozen lemonade stands. We saw this big yellow tent that looked like they were selling lemonade. But it was a Scientology tent. Can you believe that? I thought it was Lemonade! Well I did not want what they were selling! We walked the entire mall and there were no special drinks or ice cream trucks or anything! And it was during a heat wave! So I was happy to find a Starbucks in The Marriott! It was cool and clean, they even gave us free water! It was so hot I wanted a frozen lemonade and they had it! I had no idea Starbucks had Strawberry frozen lemondae! It was delicious!

This Starbucks is located in the 1700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. It’s right next to Laz Parking. So after parking the car the car, I was able to head into Starbucks — get some bottled water and caffeine, use the facilities, and hang out and work until it was time to head down the street for a meeting. Today this Starbucks was feeling overly warm and humid. I happened to mention it to the Barista ladies working the counter. They responded that the AC was on. Did not feel like it. About 20 minutes later one of the girls came by and asked me if it felt cooler. I said«yes» and asked why that was? She replied that they checked — the AC was off, they turned it on, and thanked me for pointing it out! Lots of space to hang out and work — good coffee!

Sometimes I hanker for a gingerbread latte. And sometimes when the world is a harsh place, I hanker for unflinching and unconditional kindness. This is where the two intersect. There are 2 other Starbucks’(Starbucxes? Starbi?) on the way from my bus stop to my office, but I go to this one, a block out of the way, simply for the incredibly sweet and kind people that work there. I love them.

What a friendly, welcoming bunch of baristas! Whenever I walk into this location the atmosphere is so upbeat and warm. You may hear a couple of tunes being belted out and you’ll surely hear either someone else or find yourself at the receiving end of a ‘honey’, ‘dear’ or some other term of endearment by the workers here. They do a great job at remembering the favorites/orders of returning customers and at their busiest times, everything still seems to run smoothly. They’ve just remodeled with a new paint job and furniture. I can’t say I’m a fan of the remodel since everyone seems to be bunched together with no real room for private conversation or computer usage buuut I guess it’s more about maximizing the space. Whatev, I’ll still be returning for my not-so-daily caramel macchiatos!

This ‘Bucks was remodeled recently. The biggest change? One of the baristas calls me «dear» after every sentence. You’d think I’d find it patronizing but instead I think it’s quite school-ma’am-ly, like a matronly hug. Not that I ever went to private school in England(although it’s confusingly called«public school» there, which just goes to show what can happen if you have in-bred aristocrats ruling society) but it’s a friendly joint. The coffee is Starbucks coffee: functional, serviceable, jolt-y, and often burned but acceptable if you have a caffeine need. They have several easy chairs in this place, and it’s never been that busy when I’ve dropped by in the middle of the afternoon. So you can plomp down, whack open the laptop, and happily dab away for a while quite comfortably.

OK, so Starbucks is a pretty good company for a massive imperialist chain. I say massive imperialist chain because they will always fester in my heart. Back in 1995, they moved into my hometown, set up shop across the street from a great coffee shop and music venue, and ran it out of business. Damn unappreciative suburban Chicago bastards. In any case, they pay their workers well, offer health care when they can, make an attempt at the fair-trade and sustainable thing… But really, the reason I even write this review is that you can go right down the street to 17th and G and get the best coffee around at Swing’s for one third of the price. Not just because it’s independent. Because it’s good.
