I was in line about to order when I noticed one of the employees cleaning the glass shield from the inside with cleaning solution while food was out! Refuse to eat here because of this. The manager is also very rude

My colleagues and I stopped by this Subway in Union Station for lunch one day because one of my colleagues had a coupon for 3 foot longs for $ 15. We were in the middle of lunch rush at Union Station, but this place was rather empty. I’m sure it doesn’t help that a second Chipotle right next to it. Honestly, I hadn’t been to a Subway in a very long time, and this experience doesn’t make me second guess that decision. They have these new Reuben sandwiches that looked good in the picture, but like almost anything at Subway, the food does not look like the pictures whatsoever. I ordered a chicken bacon ranch sandwich and was somewhat looking forward to it. We get to pay, and the person at the cash register kind of dismissively says that they don’t take any coupons you have to pay full price. That’s always annoying when some company sends out coupons and that doesn’t apply to have to places you go. So my colleague asks where it says that on the coupon, and the guy points to «not participating locations only.» I get that every coupon has that type of disclaimer, but this Subway location just dismissed it out of hand. He kept repeating over and over how they would not accept a coupon. Very rude, and then the manager comes over and said if we didn’t want to pay full price for the sandwiches that we should just leave them and go. When she asked if there’s a sign anywhere that says that they don’t except coupons so this awkward situation could have been avoided, he says they have no signs and we should have asked beforehand if they accept coupons. Literally, who ever does that? At this point, my colleague seemed somewhat embarrassed by this mess, even though it completely was not her fault. After being treated like that, we just decided to leave since they’re going to treat customers like that. I think the better customer service mood was to honor the coupon but tell us in the future that they don’t accept coupons. No wonder Subway is going downhill, if this visit has anything to do with it.

The service and food here is ok. I normally get the Veggie Delite with all veggie fixn’ w/whole grain sub and honey mustard. The staff here are slow but it’s ok since I am in a rush. I come here when I am in the area after my cummter bus drop me off.

When it’s crowded, this place is rushing. You really need to yell a bit when you tell them what toppings you want. The employee did not hear everything I said, so I only got 2 of the 3 toppings I wanted. $ 5 foot longs are available at this location, and the menu is typical for a Subway. It is easy to find in the middle of the Union Station food court.
