If you ever find yourself wandering around the Old Post Office Pavilion, DONOTEATHERE! there are plenty of other places to eat! I thought this was going to be a good choice, but I should have known better… you can’t trust a place that has no one waiting in line. Because there was no one waiting in line I thought it would be fast, I was bamboozalled… bamboozalled hard… When I stepped up to order, the guy behind the counter looked very irritated that I even chose to eat there. I ignored that. I ordered the lamb kebab platter, the picture looked good, 2 lamb kebabs, a salad, rice, and some pita bread. Again, I thought I struck gold with this place… but what did I know. Let the Tom Foolery begin: most of the time mall food takes less than a minute to gather, because most of the dishes are premade for speed. This place was just like that, but it still took over 15 minutes to assemble(bare in mind, that in the 45 minutes window that I was in the Pavilion, I was this places’ only customer), by the time I actually got my food my friends were pretty much done eating. The guy who took my order was also the one who assembled the meal, and he took his sweet time. I could tell that the lamb was already precooked and all it really needed was to be heated up, the guy left it on the grill and flipped it every once in a while, all while going in and out of the back room, and every time be came back out to the front, his mouth was full of food(he was mocking me!!). He also had no idea how to multitask, he waited until the lambs were finished before he plated the rice and salad, and then after all that, he heated up the pita. He actually put the whole dish on the window before the pita was done heating up and I thought it was ready to go, so I asked him if it was ready. He looked at me, and then turned away… I took that as a yes. After the pita was done he called me over from my table looking even more annoyed than he already was. When I walked up to the counter to retrieve the forgotten pita he didn’t even look at me the entire time I was walking up… am I THAT ugly!!! The only thing that could save this place was if it tasted phenomenal. Long story short: It did not. Elaborate? OK! The lamb was insanely overcooked, very tough and very dry. The rice was bland and some grains undercooked. The salad was just a normal salad. And the pita was dry :(One word can describe the way this food tasted, it starts with an S and rhymes with fit. In case you can’t piece the puzzle together, the word I’m thinking of is «shit». My recommendation: go to the gyro place right across from it(unless you’re in search of a 1 star restaurant), my buddy LOVED it, and it was in his hands within 45 seconds.
