I recently visited 4 DC-area TJ Maxx locations searching for a particular coat in my size. This was my favorite! Lots of space, well organized and CLEAN, with no piles of junk all over like other TJ Maxx locations.(Also, I finally found my coat here!) If you are trying to pick a TJ Maxx, go with this one.

I’ve been coming here for about four years now and I can honestly say the place looks really organized and it looks great! I know it’s about that time for back to school but I was very impressed on how the place looked. Keep up the good work, it doesn’t go unnoticed. The staff was all smiles and helpful. Thanks

I’m really into home decorating and often frequent places like home goods, Marshalls, and target looking for a good bargain. This location has improved tremendously. Located near the Rhode Island metro station, it’s super convenient to get to and there’s ample parking in the lot. It used to be an AJ Wright a few years back. The store is kept relatively clean and as organized as a store of its type could be expected-much neater than Burlington Coat Factory or Marshalls. I really enjoy their wide selection of candles, picture frames and other home goods décor. The pet selection is slowly increasing along with the kitchen items. The staff isn’t very helpful and points in the direction of where the item you’re looking for is located instead of actually helping you find it. Also a few times they’ve closed earlier than closing time, otherwise I find this location acceptable and pretty decent. Since the changes in management, the inventory selection has been much better and I’ve found some really great deals.

Typical TJ Maxx with a huge selection of women’s clothing and accessories. However the men’s section is almost non existent at best. Luckily what I could find was really good. Be prepared to dig through racks of clothes to find a couple shirts that may or may not fit. In general the sore could be kept a little more tidy.

While they don’t tend to stock the REALLY nice purses/shoes — I can’t say this location hasn’t filled the need for a cute dress, home goods, or as in my case, a last minute suitcase purchase — and it just may be improving with time. I have been pleasantly surprised by my recent visits, and with this last one — I figured I would give them a pat on the back. With less than 4 hours to board a plane, I discovered that my ideally sized suitcase had been«borrowed» and I needed to run out and buy one(I could have«made do» with something at home, but this was an important trip — and besides, that would have gone against my nature — lol). TJ Maxx to the rescue. With lots of colors and sizes to choose from — I wasn’t stuck with just grabbing something that I was going to end up hating later. I found a great suitcase at a great price, then a really cute pair of flats for the trip, a cute gym bag and… well you can tell I was pleased. The store was neat and orderly(however, this was mid-afternoon), and checkout was super fast. Impressed. Will return.

Nice and quiet and well stocked with women’s shoes and housewares. I found a cute pair of Columbia snow boots for cheap. I stopped by on my way home from work and I’ll be back :-)

So there are a lot of great things about this location. Perhaps the greatest is that it is right at the Rhode Island Metro(Red Line) stop, so if you don’t have a car, no worries. If you do have a car, don’t worry either, as there is a parking lot, and it is free. The men’s section can be hit or miss, as there are tons of things I would buy at times, but it’s pretty empty compared to the womens section. The home section leaves a lot to be desired. They have a great luggage section, and they keep the store organized and clean. Customer service was good as well. I would return.

Shopping God’s why do you smite me? As soon as I move out of the neighborhood, you put in a TJ Maxx, not a rinky dink one, but one with stuff that I would actually be seen out in public in. Seriously, this is a great Maxx store, things are pretty organized and they have a FAB selections of handbags(SOLD!). The store is also spacious and clean and the employees have been helpful whenever I have asked a question. I guess I will be putting my Car2go membership to use so that I can zip over to this location when I need to get my Maxanista on.

Someone is trying to set me up. They knew that I was on a budget so they put a TJ Maxx within 10 minutes from my place. Whhhyyy? If you don’t drive, you can get here by train(Rhode Island Ave Station) and it’s a short walk from there. This really is a nice TJ Maxx. I know it just opened but I am so glad that they they’ve maintained the clean and neat setup that I saw the first time I dropped by. Clothing and shoes are actually sorted by size and everyone is pretty friendly. I snagged 2 $ 12 summer shirts and a cute pair of $ 20 shoes(marked down from $ 100). Minus ½ star because the the shoes were two different sizes. It was easy to return the shoes and several wears later the shirts are still my go to summer tops. They do lose another ½ star for not having as large of an inventory as I’m used to in a TJ Maxx. The ones in the burbs, that are about the same size, seem like they have more to chose from but then again it’s probably what keeps the place from being a cluttered mess(see Friendship Heights location).
