Big Lots

The stores with the «!» in the sign are better than the older stores that don’t. The employees were nice. There were lots of food choices. The electronics selection wasn’t that varied. This location has lots of furniture. The household cleaner items were reasonably priced. If you are going to Costco anyway, it is worth stopping by.

This is a small Big Lots location. There was no customer service from employees on the floor. Several aisles were blocked with items that needed to be stocked. There was a module of empty shelves. The rest rooms were out of order and blocked off by tape. Prices were fair for a close out store. While I enjoy bargain hunting, I would not look forward to returning to this store

Like this place, even the manager made a pass at me. lol. Good selection of hit or miss items. We try to go to this location 3 – 4 times a year.

When you want dirt cheap, Brand name home and cleaning supplies, look no further than a trusty big lots!
The smell at this particular location is you typical big lots smell — cleaning supplies, mixed with snack foods, and a meaty musky odor different than anything you’ve smelled before… Hooray, you’ve made it past the front door. Now look to your right and you’ll see some baskets and carts. Skip the basket, take the cart, this is big lots!
You’re going to want to stock up quality dish soap, the toilet paper with the Bears, Bounty paper towels and the super expensive laundry detergent and fabric softener, all at a fraction of Target’s price — so get three of each!
Can’t find what you want, don’t forget to look up, around and in any nooks and crannies. The stockers here tend to keep a variety of brands all over the place, especially up high. So don’t feel any shame asking someone to grab a ladder to reach your 40 roll pack of TP.
Don’t forget febreeze, surface cleaner, window cleaner and clorox wipes because you’re not going to get a better price anywhere else!
Skip the electronics these are usually more expensive than Amazon and crappy quality.
Head towards five registers, of which only one will be open… Two if you’re really lucky. And be prepared to play angry birds as you wait for you the friendly cashier to ring up the five people in front of you.
Leave and remember you won’t need to come back for another three months thanks to your apocalyptic stock of TP and paper towels.

Great for little items you need every day. I bought a few door mats and rugs nice quality but corners are coming up.

I’ve never been to a Big Lots! before so didn’t really know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the wide range of merchandise, the cheap prices and the general atmosphere. This is where you go when you don’t know what you’re looking for and might find something interesting at a good price (sort of like a Thrift Shop but everything that’s sold is new!). There is a haphazard feeling as you can find toys among the rugs or some food items in the furniture dept. The staff were there but didn’t seem to be focused on customers. The checkout cashier was fine but they should have a self-​checkout as I bring my own bags and there’s nowhere to stand and load your bags without getting in the way of the next customer in line, and who can be very snarky at your taking up their space. I got about $ 50 worth of Christmas foods and name brand items and was quite happy with my purchases. Loads of parking!

This is your standard Big Lots, but the prices seemed higher than what you can find at your grocery store or other big box retailer. $ 30 for a basic Christmas wreath? No thanks.

I freakin love Big Lots! I would describe shopping here as a cross between treasure hunting and dumpster diving. Like Jodi’s review mentioned, the store is disorganized but it can be viewed as a positive since you can find say an Essie polish hidden under a pile of eyeshadow for $ 1.50. First, drive here and don’t walk since there is a ton of parking and this area is still sketchy. Then, sign up for the buzz rewards card, wait until you’ve accumulated enough points and pounce! I usually go here on Sunday afternoons which tend to be pretty quiet and I would give myself plenty of time to browse through everything. You can’t come here with high expectations that they will have everything you need, but instead, you will be surprised at the inventory and the service is awesome. My most recent trip, I saw products from Simple, Neutrogena, Sally Hansen, Burts Bees, EcoTools, Soho brushes, Covergirl cosmetics, and Physicians Formula Healthy Wear and Organic Wear line. They also have really cheap batteries here, and other home storage goods. And… treat yourself to some Popeyes chicken next door– you’ve earned it!

Despite how friendly the staff was on trying to help me find stuff, there really isn’t that much in stock at this store. Prices were not that cheap either, I could have found similar items for around the same price at a local Giant.
I.E. $ 1.50 handwash soup – pretty sure you can get soap for .99/​cent on sale.
There was a limited stock in cleaning supplies. one broom, but no mops for sale.
There is wood cleaner, but no COMET cleaner. You get the point.
Not worth the trek, probably would go to a store with more in stock.

Mini opinion: I felt like it could have been a little more organized… things were kind of all over the place so as a result I did not know the price of all the items I picked up. BUT besides the slight disorder this place is great, I was able to get few things that helped me organize my small apartment. There were these $ 3-​$ 6 dollar shelves that stack up… OMG they are God sent items I was able to fit 70% more items in my limited pantry (I love to cook and I have enough spices to fill up 4 large moving boxes… yikes!). I was almost able to fit all my spices and kitchen items within my mini kitchen, thanks to these shelves (they are a little flimsy so they won’t be good for heavier items such as microwaves… I tried and failed). They were also helpful in organizing my bathroom and kitchen sink storage… they no longer look like a black hole of stuff.
