I’ve never told any one about this place in all my years at GW because I wanted to keep it a secret… but now that I no longer attend, I can finally share this little gem of a place…
amazing sandwiches.
BEST. CARAMEL MACCHIATO. I’VE. EVER. HAD. Not 100% consistent, but for the most part, they deliver well. It’s best when hot.
Great study area. Whenever I go, there’s typically a seat.
Note — it’s a GW-centered area, so unfortunately, it’s not open late or on weekends. Still worth the walk. Definitely, a 100X times better than sbux. Check out their facebook page for hours.

The staff is so nice and welcoming! The wait does get a little ridiculous (sometimes during lunch, the line is out the door and at most they’ll only have three people taking food orders and the cashier doubles as the coffee barista) since this place is literally between the GW law school and chem department. The sandwiches are pretty good, too. I’m also a fan of their mochas. They’re a little on the sweet side (compared to Starbucks and Filter), so that might not be to everyone’s taste. Be warned, if your purchase is less than five bucks, it’s cash only.
