Whisked!

I’ve never actually been to this location, but I’ve had three of the pies and the Nutella Cookies and they have all been delicious! The quality is incredible. Would definitely order/​visit in the future.

Holy BAKED GOODS! Whisked is probably my favorite maker of cookies and pies around DC. While they do not have a store, they sell their products in a ton of different locations around the DMV area and their website does a great job of listing out all of the locations you can find their products at. Hands down the best cookie I have ever tasted are the Whisked! Salty Oatmeal Cookie. In my opinion this cookie flat out kills the infamous Teaism Salty Oat Cookie. If you haven’t tried Whisked! yet do yourself a favor and go pick up their deliciousness, you’ll thank me later.

The chocolate chess pie with sea salt is literally the best thing ever. The flavors and textures are just perfect! Its so rich and decadent! It’s hard to keep myself from eating the whole pie! I picked up my pie from a local farmers market. 9 dollars for a smaller pie might be a bit too much, even I was surprised to be spending so much on such a small thing but it just looked so good! The other fall flavors that were present included pumpkin pie, chocolate pumpkin pie, pecan pie and more. Can’t wait to try a new flavor, I already know I’ll be equally as impressed!

I bought a quiche and blueberry pie over the weekend, and I’m afraid it is going to be a regular occurrence. That was a damn good blueberry pie!

Each evening, around 6 or 7, I take my pups to the Columbia Heights dog park. And like clockwork my nostrils are filled with the smell of home-​baked chocolate chip cookies. Pavlovian response triggered, my mouth begins to water and I look forward to a tasty treat. But alas, my yearning is doomed to go unanswered because the bakery refuses to sell directly to the passers-​by whom they torture with their sweet-​smelling goodness.
All kidding aside, they really should set up a stand outside the bakery that is only open while they are baking. Or at least allow me to rent out the space and show up with some Tollhouse morsels. I’m sure that anything with carbs and chips would sell out, so long as they’ve got the good stuff wafting through the air.
Fortunately, the YES in my neighborhood carries their delicious cookies and pies. I get my chocolate chip fix regularly, and go for one of the lemon pies when I’m feeling real fancy. Great bakery!

Re. the Shaker lemon pie, I had this the other day and thought that it was fantastic. The pie has just the right balance of tart and sweet, and the creamy curd complements the whole slices of lemon. The crispy crust is the perfect conveyance for the filling. The cardamom pear pie is also one of my favorites, with tender-​firm pear slices and delicious seasoning. Thanks, Whisked!

Whisked has a booth at my local farmer’s market and is on our «must visit» list. The pies and quiches are something we keep on hand for when we need a mid week treat or when we have company to impress.
If the pies and quiche are a ten then the cookies are where they turn the dial to 11. There have been times we finish them before we’ve walked the 4 blocks home.
I only have one complaint: more than once I’ve tried to buy rhubarb or sour cherries from the booths around whisked only to be told whisked beat me to it and bought them out… so she buys fresh, local, organic ingredients to boot.
Visit, chat, and buy. You’ll be glad you did.

I love Whisked! cookies and pie! Everything is so delicious that I’m always upset that I didn’t buy more. Definitely one of the best bakeries in D.C.

I’ve been scooping up Whisked pies and cookies at the 14^th & U Street farmers market for years. Now that they are also at Glen’s Green Market, it’s even more convenient to try new things. I love the mini pies and quiches for me — and the big pies for hostess gifts or parties! (And the cookies are now at Cava and Pleasant Pops too!)

I always try to bring some pies home when I visit my parents, and last year I brought one to Thanksgiving which I spent with my friend’s large Ecuadorian family. It was the first dessert to go (pumpkin chocolate pie) and everyone asked me where I got it.
A few years ago, I brought one to my roommate’s parents’ Thanksgiving, not knowing that they had already bought pies from Whole Foods. After sampling, the Whisked pie was yet again the first one gone – and I hated the Whole Foods pies. There’s nothing quite like a handmade pie, Jenna’s have a great, consistent quality and taste for the price, and I love that she’s a local baker here in the District!
The only negative for me is that all of the shops where you can pick up her pies once you order them (and you choose your pick-​up location) are not on my commute route, so I have to go a bit out of my way to pick them up. This is good, in a way – it means I won’t spend all my money buying pies all the time. This is also bound to change as the business keeps growing.
Eat local, DC! It’s worth it.

This is one of my favorite bakeries in the city. These pies are simply amazing. I used to pick them up at weekend farmer’s markets, but now they’re available in several locations — my personal go-​to location is Radici next to Eastern Market. The Salted Caramel Apple pie is probably my favorite — I have a standing order to bring one of those with me whenever I visit family up North. My next favorite is probably the Mushroom, Swiss, and Shallot quiche. Whatever you try, it’s all good and the quality of the ingredients is very good.

Picking up a Whisked! pie at a local farmers market or grocery store is always a treat — their tarts and pies are a work of art! I’m a huge fan of getting their yummy savory quiches at Qualia in Petworth, and I’m now given the responsibility of bringing her pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas every year… the pumpkin, bourbon pecan, and salted caramel apple are family favorites around our table. Their flavors are sophisticated and always changing seasonally — keep an eye out for them!

I love Whisked! I just moved away from DC and am already missing their amazing pies and quiches. I can’t walk by their display and not buy something! The crust is the perfect texture with just a hint of salt and a great foundation for Jenna’s delicious creations. I love the sea salt chocolate chess pie the most, but pecan and caramel apple are close seconds. The quiches were always the perfect end to a farmers market trip, and always fortified me while I cooked my yummy vegetables.
I miss you Whisked and I’ll stop by next time I’m in town.

I no longer live in the D.C. Area so I have had a chance to try any whisked baked goods. My parents being in the area and living by a market that sells lots of local foods had pies and cookies. The first time I’ve seen whisked anywhere.
I got a salt chocolate pie and lemon pie. I couldn’t even wait until I drove the chocolate pie back to nyc where I live before trying it. Rich, salty and delicious. The crust is how I like it, nice and crisp and flakey.
The pies are a bit more expensive than a Giant or store pie but the taste is worth it.

I don’t know anyone at Whisked! but I have ordered twice and am ordering a Key Lime for Father’s Day to pick up on Friday. I think these pies are terrific and imperfect and gorgeous. That’s what I like about them. The three I have tried tasted great and the crust on all was flaky, light and very homemade looking which is what is so appealing. If I want a «perfect» looking pie I’ll go pick up a pie in the freezer at Safeway. Keep it up! I am a Pie over Cake girl from way back. I drive in from Fairfax to pick up at Miss Pixies.

Super expensive and not worth it. That said, the pies are tasty but inconsistent. Did I mention it is pricey for the quality/​quantity?

Recently gave them another try after some some «meh» experiences in the past. The verdict – still «meh», esp. given the price. The fillings tend toward the bland – for example, the raspberry almond had little almond flavor and the raspberries weren’t ripe enough to add flavor. The crust is sometimes very light and flaky, sometimes burnt and chewy. The fillings sometimes generous, sometimes limited and a bit gummy. A drawback to artisan baked goods is that they’re difficult to turn out consistently, esp. pies. Still, I’ve had more impressive pies from farmers market vendors in other cities like NYC and SF, and there’s a place in the Cleveland area that really puts these to shame.

The chocolate pecan pie is so freakin’ delicious! I fear for my waistline after discovering this perfect desert.

Jenna and her pies are amazing. I’m pretty pie-​obsessed (have hosted pie competitions for more than five years), and these are the best I’ve tasted locally. Jenna made 20 pies for our wedding, and they were cheaper, more professionally handled, and better tasting than any other options BY FAR. I mean seriously, I am eating a slice of her quiche right now. I get the little ones at the market just to split with a friend as a snack. Put these pies in your life; you will not regret it.

Jenna’s cookie recipes have been featured in the Post and never fail making né of my favorite things to get at Whisked! the brownie cookies sandwiches. They’re sweet and indulgent and always a crowd pleaser. She features classic treats to the market that feature local fruit and veg — her pies, sweet and savory, and the quiches! I’ve literally never had something from Whisked! that I didn’t love.
