Pho Vatsana

This place is quite a jem! Our favorite place in the valley for take out. Have been a few times. We haven’t eaten in yet. Phở is a great winter food, and their Phở is excellent. Love the P1, phở vatsana.

It’s best in all of Alaska! The owner is Thai and loves to discuss the food with you and give suggestions on the eating of the meals. A real nice person…

This place was alright, for their prices you’d expect more of a plate of food. The customer service was nice enough. 3.50 for an average size drink. I could have went to new sagaya and gotten two Thai teas for the price of one at this place. I would probably eat here again but not one of my top choices.

This is the only Thai place we found. The food was horrible in taste. I would not recommend anyone to try even for free.

What a pleasant surprise. Delicious Thai food! Stopped at this place on the way through Wasilla based on previous Unilocal reviews, rightly so. Beware the spiciness level. A 3−4÷5 is VERY spicy ;).
We had the chicken satays, papaya salad and sticky rice. All perfectly prepared.

For such a baby sized town, this place is really top shelf! Excellent, super fresh spring rolls, great noodle and rice dishes, well seasoned and prepared.
The best thing is the service. Hilarious, engaging, quick, immensely polite, and fun. Loved it. Will definitely be back.
There is actually a pretty decent amount of good Thai/​Asian fusion places in town, but the service here made this one a clear winner over the other two I’ve tried.

Favorite Thai place in the valley! Never been disappointed with the food, the employees are so friendly and so much fun to be around! I could easily eat at this place every day if I had the money to do so! LOL Please try this place if you love thai food.

Spring rolls are so wonderfully fresh and ingredients balanced just right for the perfect flavor. Also you can’t go wrong with a C4 (on the menu); its a seafood dish my wife loves.

Must stop here! The Phở Vatsana was amazing, would love to get the broth just to take and drink. Highly recommend stopping here, I know whenever I drive through I will!

Lots of fresh vegetables! Friendly service and good food. Clean and quick.
My husband had the phở combo. He really enjoyed it. I had the drunken noodles with chicken. My daughter had pad see ew with chicken. The golden rolls were good too.

Phở vatsana is an amazing restaurant from the red curry to the pad krapoa it’s so good you will not be disappointed. very good chicken satay also had a very big order and they helped carry everything to my car. Family owned restaurant with great service

I really like phở vatsana. The owner is very friendly, the location is great, and the food is awesome. I enjoy spending my Sundays there for lunch. The menu has a great spread. I have tried many things on the menu and they have all been unique and delicous. Even what one might consider simple phở they are able to make their own. I would recommend to a friend.

Great food. The Phở’ is amazing and so happy we found it in the Valley. The owner and staff are friendly and the place is very clean. We go once a week now and love it.

I have eaten here twice and food was delicious each time. So far have had curry chicken and Phở Vatsana soup. Very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Like another reviewer, I also just relocated to Palmer in September and set out looking for restaurants to be my local favorites just like back in my previous home in Orlando, Florida. Phở Vatsana is now on my regular rotation.

Delicious food and great service! Thai is my favorite food and I’m often disappointed. I was pleased all around this time though. Everything we ordered was very delicious. The owners are very hard working and keep the restaurant very clean. We were new to town and he even stopped to give us tons if advice and tips and free rice to welcome us to town. I will definitely be a return customer.

As a new resident of Wasilla, Alaska, I consulted Unilocal for a few of the best restaurants in the area. When I read about this one while I was still in Michigan, I knew this was the first one I wanted to try, judging from the comments made by locals and the look of the menu.
Phở Vatsana did not disappoint! From the extreme friendliness of one of the owners, Noy, to the deliciously complex dishes, this has fast become our all time favorite Phở/​Thai restaurant ANYWHERE!
On our first visit, we ordered the Mama’s Special Chicken Curry (C1) because of the high recommendations on Unilocal.It was A-​M-​A-​Z-​I-​N-​G!
My husband ordered the Larb — chicken (E2), which was an unusual blend of meat with chili pepper, onion, cilantro, lemongrass, garlic, lime juice, mint, lime leaves, all ground roasted and served over rice. It was delectable! The mix of flavors was like a symphony to the senses! Choices we will definitely be re-​ordering sooner than later!
Our second visit was for lunch. We chatted extensively with super kind and gracious Noy. We asked what he would recommend for seafood orders, he promptly suggested the Pad Talay Ngai — Seafood Combo (C4) and the Phở Vatsana (P1).
Both of these dishes remain 2 of our favorite all time entrees we’ve ever had! I jokingly told Noy that I wanted to jump into the huge bowl of Phở Vatsana and take a bath in it. Looking back, I was only half kidding… it was THAT good!
Conclusively, we are thrilled about finding this gem in the valley and look forward to being regular customers for years to come!
The food alone is worth the visit, but the added bonus of superb customer service that makes you feel right at home is a plus, especially to recent transplants to Alaska!

Great food when I don’t feel like cooking. As I had a handful, they helped bring my food to the vehicle; greatly appreciated. I am glad there’s some Phở in Wasilla worth eating.

Excellent Thai food in Wasilla. The owner is a gracious host and was very accommodating of our vegetarian requests. We had the veg egg rolls, house special soup, drunken noodle and the red curry. Everything was delicious and we all enjoyed the great good and the fantastic service. Best Thai/​Vietnamese food in Alaska! Must visit if passing by wasilla.

Yummy spring rolls, pad thai, & phở. Low key dining area, Thai music, quick service. Very good!
