4 ½ stars? Come on Waukee! I’ve come to the realization that you just need to subtract at least 1 ½ stars from any Waukee restaurant on Unilocal.Then you get to a more realistic rating. In this case, make it 2 ½. Very mediocre at best. I had the chicken fried rice and it was very bland. They use dark meat, which I actually prefer but there was just zero flavor. Hyvee Chinese is better and that isn’t saying much. Won’t be back.

Excellent service and the food is always fresh! I have never had a bad experience. I have never had to wait more then 10 – 15 minutes from the time I order to pick up. The owners are very friendly and always smile. I would recommend the sweet and sour pork, any of their fried rice, the pot stickers and their soup.

I’ve been here more times than I can count, and I always get the beef and broccoli. I love it that much! My husband and I always order to go, so I can’t speak for the dining experience.
There was one time when I accidentally got the wrong order, and didn’t realize it until we were already home. I brought it back and they exchanged out my order without question or complaint. In fact, they were very apologetic and have double-​checked my order ever since!
Staff is friendly and conversational. Whenever I walk in, I get a smile and a «beef and broccoli, two crab rangoons?» I’m getting predictable!

Was in the mood for fried rice so I went to my go to Chinese restaurant. I got the combination fried rice and asked for it to be spicy. It came with plenty of beef and chicken and about 4 – 5 medium sized shrimps. The dish also came with the usual egg roll, crab rangoon, and soup. The fried rice was super tasty and had a little «charred» flavor, which I like. Definitely a good choice!

This is hands down the best Chinese in town. I have tried pretty much every Chinese restaurant in the Des Moines area and always come back to this one. You get the biggest bang for your buck and the quality of a good sit down Chinese restaurant. There is a reason why locals always come back to this same place. :)

Best Chinese takeout in the metro. Everything from the Mongolian beef to the chow mein is amazing. One of their other locations got me through college.

This place exceeds expectation with yummy entrees & awesome hot & sour soup. Feed a family of 4 under $ 30 bucks and actually enjoy the FOOD!

This place is always very quick and has consistent quality. If you’re looking for carry out, I highly recommend them. The only knock I would give them is that their egg rolls aren’t very good. General’s chicken is, however, quite tasty.

This is a hidden gem in fast Chinese in the ‘burbs. The lunch portion includes, entrée, rice, spring roll, crab Rangoon, soup, all fast and affordable. Waiting for me hot and ready for take out. Always clean and friendly staff.

Great food for the price. The lunch meal includes soup, crab Rangoon, and a spring roll. The owner is there daily and for the money you can’t beat it. I just wish they had wonton soup for the daily soup choice.

We tried this location for the first time tonight and were very pleased. We called in our order for 3 dinners and 3 cups of soups and it was ready in 15 minutes for pick up. It only cost $ 20.24 and everyone was very nice on the phone and upon pick up.

We LOVE this place. The food is somewhere between good and great. But the service is phenomenal. The family that manages it is wonderful. The price is CHEAP, with great quality. Perhaps not the best quality, but can’t be beat for value. Definitely the best value we’ve found in the Waukee area.
