This location is a kiosk in the Mayfair shopping center(Hwy 100 and North Ave). I was impressed, in that they were busy, two days before Christmas, but representative, «Dave,» approached me almost immediately. I had several questions regarding my AT&T two year contract cell phone account that expired and my choices for an upgrade to my current phone. Dave, walked me through both issues, fielded my numerous questions, and patiently reiterated those points that I didn’t immediately understand with professional poise and demeanor. All-in-all, this AT&T location is everything a customer could want, based on my experience.

1. Terrible service 2. Sold me on upgrading to business account, said everything would be the same and I would save 8%, totally untrue, my charges tripled, they turned off my ach payment, hadn’t been late for 6 years, now I have a late payment on my credit, changed the login to online service… TOTALNIGHTMARE 3. Have spent 4.3 hours on the phone trying to resolve, still unresolved. 4. Anywhere but ATT

I went to this AT&T kiosk in Mayfair Mall after I had been to the Apple Store there and they were unfortunately sold out of the phone I wanted. I had already done all of my research online at so I knew exactly which phone, which contract, and how much data I wanted to go with.(it’s NYE at 5pm so I know that the employees probably just want an easy customer) I go up to the kiosk and a manager(?) comes over to ask what I was looking for– I told him straight away I want to get a new phone today. Okay cool, so he tells me he’ll have one of the sales associates be right with me. 30sec later a sales associate comes over,(I think his name may have been Luke) and asked what I’m looking for. I told him I wanted a gold iPhone 616gb with a 2 year contract. He goes digging in the kiosk and comes up with a 64gb and then proceeds to press on me the larger(more expensive) phone and tries to push the«AT&T next» plan on to me. I repeatedly tell him that I just want a 2 year contract with a 16gb but he keeps talking over me and explaining the«benefits» of this Next plan. I keep trying to tell him that I’ve already done my research online, and know what I want. Meanwhile his manager comes to stand/hover right behind him(like he can sense I’m going to be a difficult customer) and I feel like a kid being bullied on the playground. I flat out tell him NO I do not want what YOU are pushing, pusher man. He then tells me they don’t have the 16gb phone anyways and maybe I should just go to the Apple Store. I tell him I HAVE been to the Apple Store & they didnt have it so that’s why I’m there. Both him and the manager shrug & say maybe I should go online. This should have been the easiest most straightforward sale. They could have just told me «Unfortunately we don’t have that phone in stock right now, you can try online or come back another day» but noooooo. This is exactly and sadly what I was expecting was going to happen going into this. I hate being«pushed» into something that i clearly don’t want. Everything seemed very rushed at this kiosk. I would have given it 1 star, except service was fast(someone spoke with me right away), but that was the only upside to this encounter. I still don’t have a new phone. And will have to hobble along for a little bit longer with my iphone 4 and it’s cracked screen with scotch tape holding it together. Whatever works, right?

I usually shop at the strip center store on 124th. And found out that they also have a spot in the mall. This location is located just south of the central elevator inside Mayfair mall. This location has plenty of staff and a good selection of phones from low end to smart. I’ve been with at&t since Cingular was Cellular one, had mergers and acquisitions. Service and coverage has been great. I updated my iPhone to 4s. They recommended the lifeproof case. It was $ 80 extra. It is a great sealed box for the phone with one flaw. They claim it is dust, snow, water, and shock proof. I previously used otter box defender case. The sales men thought that that this would be great for my use but the charging cord plugs way to deep into the case leaving nothing to grab but the cord to remove charging cord. Tony and Nathan know how to match phones to people. I still resent that my unlimited plan is limited to 3000mb before it gets an idle down. Which IS technically a Limitation. Ugh that’s just ain’t right.
