Love this place! Great cinnamon rolls on sundays. Also a big fan of their chili and fish fry!

Well, I’ve only been there once, so don’t listen to me. Or go ahead and do. I’m often almost always correct about stuff. I was trying to go to some Hawaiian place recommended to me by a certain locally familiar internet person of good taste and dubious limbs. The place didn’t work out, so I went to this deli across the street, Fattoni’s. Joke’s on YOU motherfucker!!! It’s really supposed to be, like, «Fat Tony’s» cuz they have a picture of a fat Eye-talian guy on the sign and menu. You know, the kind of image that makes you really hungry. A hairy fat dude with a mustache making your food, maybe ogling your daughter from behind the counter. Maybe plotting to «rub out» and«chop up with his kitchen equipment and possibly grind into sausage that will be served at Fattoni’s» some poor mook after his shift to appease the local cosa nostra that he owes a shit ton of money to. Speaking of mooks, I just thought of Mooky from Do the Right Thing and realized that Fat Tony may very well be based on Danny Aiello’s character«Sal». Extra cheese is two dollahs! Not saying that’s the case, but they’re going for that«hey, we’re like an old school Eye-talian deli type place». The joint’s on North in WAUAUAUAUWUWAUTAUTosa. That nice stretch after you wisely pass McBobb’s and go a few more blocks west. It’s open and airy with tall ceilings and hardwoods. There are tables strewn about, not too densely, which I like. There’s a deli case to the right with a buncha meat and cheese, and the lunch counter to the left. I got a roasted vegetable sandwich, which was one of several offered hot or cold. I got it hot. There was a good portion of eggplant, zuchini, onions(probably), and whatnot on what I’m cripplecrap sure was a Sciorttino’s roll. If it wasn’t, then it was a damn close facsimile. Don’t know what I’m talking about when I refer to Sciorttino’s rolls? Sorry. Yo ass betta axe somebody. It was a «just right» size, overall. The sandwich came with a pickle and a bag a chips(lays original) and was about 6 bux. Not bad. I had the nice woman at the counter add some cheese, and she didn’t charge me for it. There should have been a choice of cheese included on the menu, however. It’s Wisconsin. Duh. Especially a veggie thing. Gimme da cheese. I liked it, but just feel like they coulda tried harder. Like some muffalatta or something. It wasn’t quite heated all the way through either. I’m gonna give these sonsabitches 3 stars and the benefit of the doubt because nothing was really wrong and that’s good. Not blown away by any means though. Worth another visit and your consideration, as they offer catering and a whole lotta other shit I’ll never try. So again, don’t listen to me. Opinions are like assholes. Everybody’s got one and very few are worth givin’ a sniff.

Without a doubt the worst corned beef sandwich I ever had. Skimpy on the meat and hardly any taste. If a place calls itself a deli it ought to do corned beef right. Didn’t seem to be in house made or even purchased from a good supplier. More the stuff you can buy at your local grocery store. Super thin slices that resembled shaved ham more than corned beef. On the other hand the Italian Beef sandwich my wife had was quite delicious with plenty of meat, toppings and flavor. We had take out so I can’t say anything about the customer service. If we had eaten in house I would have taken my sandwhich back. I guess I’d say great Italian sandwhich not even close to great corned beef.
